I know of recall. Nissan has been unable to address. Had my car go in for several malfunctions in August. Battery also bad. Now driving on [XXX] from San Antonio, TX, car malfunctioned. Car was unable to maintain speeds which could have caused an accident. Car under warranty for 1 more month. I was almost to new Braunfels, TX with my [XXX] in the backseat. Had to find a way home on backroads as
... it was also raining. I tried to have them resolve before and was told no remedy. Now I’m having engine issues. This could have resulted in a bad outcome due to these issues on a high speed Hwy and my car dropped to 35 and I was unable to go faster. This recall needs a remedy IMMEDIATELY. I will be contacting Nissan and local Nissan to address these issues now. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I rented a vehicle from Avis (Buffalo, NY branch) on Aug 2, 2025. At pickup, the tire pressure warning light was already on, but staff released the car anyway. The driver's side impact airbag burst open when it deployed. This deposited unreacted airbag propellant on my skin, causing a severe chemical burn. The airbag is with the vehicle and currently in the yard of a local body shop, but which will soon turned over to my insurance company. To my knowledge, no investigation has yet been conducted regarding this equipment failure. There were no warning
... lamp or lights lit which would indicate that there was an issue with the associated Supplement Restraint Systems. I was the driver in a collision where the side impact airbags were deployed. I was wearing my seat belt. There was no intrusion of any foreign object into the cabin of the vehicle. I was not hit on the driver's side of the vehicle. When the side impact airbag deployed it tore open the left side of the t-shirt I was wearing and deposited unreacted airbag propellants on my skin. The unreacted airbag chemicals left me with a what looked to be a minor injury but which soon developed into a very painful chemical burn the size of my fist. Over the course of the next several days, this painful burn proceeded to eat through my skin.Read more

The engine in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (3.6L Pentastar V6) suddenly seized without warning at approx. 154,525 miles. The vehicle stalled while in motion, causing immediate loss of power and creating a dangerous situation where I could have been struck by other traffic. This was a major safety hazard. The Jeep was towed to a dealership, where technicians confirmed the engine is seized and p
... rovided a written estimate of about $12,000 for full engine replacement. I later had the vehicle towed back to my home, but the failed engine remains in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the authorized Jeep service center. Jeep/Stellantis Customer Care has also been contacted, and a case has been opened.Decline goodwill assistance. There were no warning lamps, messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The vehicle was operating normally until the sudden stall. This lack of warning combined with the engine seizure placed my safety and the safety of others at risk. I believe this issue is part of a known defect pattern with the 3.6L Pentastar engine, which has been subject to numerous complaints, service bulletins, and litigation. A well-maintained Jeep engine should not fail catastrophically at this mileage without warning.Read more

The main issue involves the engine bearings (recall campaign KR15, NHTSA ID 25V-437). According to Nissan, certain engines equipped with the 1.5L VC-Turbo have a manufacturing defect in the main, A-, C-, and L-link bearings or related components. This defect can lead to engine damage and, in some cases, complete engine failure. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This situation pu
... ts my safety and the safety of others at risk, because if the engine fails while driving, it may cause a sudden loss of motive power, significantly increasing the risk of a crash. I am especially concerned because I frequently drive on highways and in traffic conditions where a sudden loss of power could result in an accident. The issue has been confirmed by Nissan through the recall notice, but as of now, the remedy is still pending, and there is no immediate fix or available parts for the engine bearing defect. My vehicle has not yet been inspected by Nissan for this recall, and I have not received a loaner vehicle or alternative solution to ensure safety while the remedy is pending. In addition, there are two other active recalls: Turbo hose defect (Nissan ID P4A47) – may cause fuel vapor smell inside or around the vehicle. EEM Logic (Nissan ID P3A28) – related to the Underhood Switching Module (USM/IPDM), which may lead to a vehicle no-start condition. Before the engine problem fully manifests, there are warning signs including unusual engine noises, rough engine performance, and warning messages appearing on the dashboard, such as the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). These symptoms appeared progressively and have increased my concern about the possibility of a total engine failure while driving.Read more

2021 Hyundai Sonata with approximately 39,000 miles. On [XXX], the dashboard displayed the following message "Shifter system malfunction! Service immediately" When the warning appeared, the vehicle shifter button would not function, creating a traffic safety risk. History: Dealer service history shows the transmission was replaced on the vehicle under warranty on 08/30/2021 with 2,212 miles with
... no campaign/recall issued. Dealer states there is no recall campaign on this vehicles specific VIN # and NHTSA currently shows no open recalls for this vehicle. However, Hyundai advertises an 8-Speed DCT Safety Recall for the same year, make and model, and describes this identical issue, but has left this vehicle's VIN# out of scope for this recall, which is continuing to demonstrate the same issues. Current dealer/manufacturer response: On 9/4/2025, the dealer declined warranty or recall repair unless the fault was active on their diagnostic scan at the moment the scan was performed. A photo was provided to the mechanics of the dashboard showing the transmission service warning, with current mileage. The dealer advised there were no diagnostic log history showing the transmission error code even with photographic proof and attempted to return the vehicle to me. I have rejected the return of the vehicle and advised that this needs to be escalated, because if logs are not appearing, this is even a bigger cause for concern and that the vehicle is a safety hazard. Concern: Because this vehicle required an early transmission replacement and is now exhibiting new transmission/shifter warnings, I am concerned the failure relates to the known transmission/shifter recall on this model and that the recall scope and/or remedy is incomplete for the affected vehicles including my vin #. It is also possible the dealership is attempting to run out the warranty which expires in 3 months. Vehicle, photo of the warning, and service records are available for inspection. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a defect in my 2018 Honda HR-V, specifically with the White Orchid Pearl paint (paint code NH-788P). This issue appears to be widespread, as evidenced by a previous warranty extension issued by Honda in 2019 and ongoing class action lawsuits related to paint delamination on affected models. I purchased a 2018 Honda HR-V in June 2020, unaware of any
... pre-existing paint defects. Recently, I have noticed significant peeling of the paint on the roof in four distinct places. The affected paint is the White Orchid Pearl color with code NH-788P, which matches the vehicles covered under Honda's 2019 warranty extension for paint delamination issues. This extension was issued following reports of the clear coat and paint layers separating, leading to peeling, flaking, and exposure of the underlying primer or metal. This defect is not due to any fault of my own, such as improper maintenance or environmental damage beyond normal use. The vehicle has been garaged and maintained according to Honda's recommendations. Despite this, the paint failure has resulted in an estimated devaluation of my vehicle by up to $5,000, based on comparable market values for similar models without this issue. I have no recourse through Honda, leaving me with significant financial loss and a vehicle that is aesthetically compromised and potentially prone to further deterioration, such as rust if the peeling exposes metal. While paint peeling may not immediately present as a safety hazard, it could lead to other issues and Honda should be accountable for their vehicles. I request that NHTSA investigate this matter, review the existing warranty extension and TSB, and consider mandating a recall or further extension to cover repairs for affected owners like myself. Please contact me at [XXX] or [XXX] for any additional information.. Thank you for your attention to this complaint. I look forward to your response. On [XXX], my 2019 Toyota 86 experienced a sudden engine failure while I was driving, causing the vehicle to lose power and become undrivable. The vehicle was towed to Camelback Toyota in Phoenix, AZ. The dealership initially diagnosed the failure as being caused by an “overfilled oil” condition. However, the vehicle was then inspected by Costa Oil (the shop that performed my most recent oil c
... hange). Costa Oil confirmed in writing that the oil level was within Toyota specifications, directly contradicting the dealer’s diagnosis. Camelback Toyota later today stated that the cause of failure was “undetermined unless the engine is disassembled.” Toyota corporate has denied goodwill repair coverage, despite the fact that the vehicle was properly maintained and the failure occurred suddenly without warning. This type of failure presents a safety hazard because the car lost power unexpectedly while in motion. It appears consistent with known engine defects in Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ models related to oil starvation and RTV sealant contamination. The driver-side power door mirror on my 2023 Mazda CX-5 vibrates excessively at highway speeds above 75 mph, especially on windy days. This poses a significant safety risk, as it impairs my ability to make safe lane changes and monitor surrounding traffic. I brough

Numerous owners of recent Mazda models have reported similar problems online, yet Mazda has not issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for the 2023 CX-5. I am attaching a previous TSB (09-002/13) that Mazda released for earlier CX-5 models (2013–2014), which addressed the same mirror vibration issue through structural reinforcement and mirror replacement.
