Purchased this vehicle in August 2024. A month later car wouldn’t start and the battery died. The dealership replaced it. 14 months later (October 2025) the car wouldn’t start again. Engine light came on. We took it to warranty approved shop and they told us the battery had died. Again. 7 months later the car won’t start. Engine light turned on. Took it to warranty approved shop and they sai

Hi ! I just purchased the 2024 Nissan pathfinder SL on March 13th , 2026 . Three days later I noticed a slight vibration to the car . I was told it was the mount they’d replace both mounts . Get the car from getting the mounts replaced , & when I went to leave with the “ repaired “ the car sounded horrible while in Reverse. It was a loud sound more than just a vibration. I immediately went i
... nto the dealer and they said they’d replace the other two mounts . Fast forward to that appointment, I get a call it needs a new motor . I’m not sure the mileage on the vehicle but it’s less than 46k . The mechanic shop in Macon , Ga has had the car two weeks. They replaced the mount close to the transmission with a OM mount , said the previous one was a defective mount . Now they have no clue what is wrong with the car . This car is so “ new “ to be having these issues. So now I’m waiting to hear what the next steps are on this car . Such a beautiful vehicle truly ! I just don’t know if this mount / transmission is going cause me issues nonstop within the car .Read more

Nissan issued a recall notice well over a year ago about batteries catching fire when using the DC fast charging port. They still have not offered a fix. I can't travel long distances with the car since slower level 2 charging is impractical (8 hrs to full recharge). If I sell the vehicle with this limitation, I will have do to so at a substantial loss, so I cannot replace the car. I want a fix,
... compensation. or a buy-back. I called the local dealership today and they can't even offer a timeline for a fix.Read more

When the vehicle is put in reverse, the screen for the rear camera goes completely blank. This is a known defect with many Nissan vehicles, to which Nissan has issued numerous recalls to address this exact issue. However, the year, make, and model of my vehicle has not been included in any of Nissan’s recalls.

Worst dealership my husband and I ever dealt with. We purchased a 2019 Nissan XD Titan Diesel with warranty. Two days after purchase, the check engine light came on. I called Spencer from the service department to let them know. They took the truck the very next day; it was some issue with the gas tank, so the part was back-ordered. After getting that fixed, the check engine light still never went
... off. I questioned the dealership; all they could say was it was probably a dirty sensor. Then, not even two weeks later, I was leaving a doctor's appointment on the interstate when it threw up a code for low coolant, saying it was about to go into limp mode. So, I made it to the dealership's service station. They said it was okay and couldn't find anything wrong with it, then told me to just keep driving it until it broke down or delete it if it was them. They said, 'You know, we don't deal with a lot of diesel, so it may need to go to another dealership.' Then, two months went by, and we had more issues. We ended up back at the dealership to find out that it now had an oil leak that was quoted to us as a $14,000 job for parts and labor. We also had extended warranty and powertrain, but Spencer failed to file the warranty claim correctly the first time and filed under the wrong warranty, so they denied it. We had to call management to get them to check why, and the problem was that the service department didn't know how to file the correct warranty claim. After that was submitted, my husband asked Spencer directly and the service department if they did rentals through our warranty. They said they don't give rentals at that dealership. Note that we found out later through our warranty that they did pay, but we weren't given that chance. After picking up the vehicle, the check engine light was still on !!! there’s so much more details to the story!!!!!Read more

Nissan had a recall 2 years ago for a tie rod issue. When I brought the car in for that recall Nissan said that the tie rods showed no sign of bending so they didn't replace them. Two years later my car is not steering correctly and making noises. I find out that Nissan has a new tie rod recall (recall R23B3, NHTSA #23V-581) that requires the tie rods to be changed regardless if they show any sign
... of bending or damage. I bring my car in to have this completed (2 years from the first recall) and they are telling me the power steering rack has to be replaced as well as the tie rods. The issue is Nissan now knows that by not replacing the tie rods two years ago it's damaging the power sterring rack but they will not acknowledge it as they don't want to pay the additional cost for the power sterring rack. I spoke to Nissan USA consumer affairs and they are taking a hard line on this. It's dangerous as the car dealership service department was going to let me drive my car after the tie rod replacement knowing the power steering rack was also damaged until I pressed the actual technician that worked on the car and he said it's dangerous to drive. Nissan must be reponsible for replacing all the damage caused by not making it mandatory to replace the tie rods in the first recall two years ago. The cost to replace the power steering rack is $3000 and they don't want to pay for that.Read more

The CVT transmission on my 2016 Nissan Sentra is failing. This seems to be an ongoing issue with Nissans CVT that I have researched. Dealerships are saying they are not replacing the transmissions because it is outside the warranty. The CVT issues started shortly after the warranty ended. Funny. The fact that the failure of transmission is causing potential life threatening accidents and nothing
... is being done to resolve the issue. My car will stop accelerating while on an interstate where traffic is traveling 70-80mph. Nissan is an 8 billion dollar company and is building and selling cars risking the safety of families. To get the transmission replaced would cost more than the value of my car currently. My 2016 Nissan Sentra has right under 120,000 miles. I do hope that Nissan Company has a tad bit of integrity and helps their customers resolve these issues.Read more

The front grille and front bumper of my 2025 Nissan Pathfinder have melted twice on their own without any accident, impact, or unusual use. The vehicle is used exclusively for personal family transportation and is parked outdoors in Florida. Nissan opened a warranty case on April 1, 2026. However, their entire investigation was conducted based on photos only — no physical inspection of the vehic
... le was ever performed by Nissan or their representative. Despite this, Nissan denied the warranty claim stating it was not their responsibility, without identifying the root cause of the damage. During the claims process, a Nissan call center representative provided false information stating that our vehicle had been in service for 6 months, which is completely untrue. Multiple calls went unanswered or were disconnected. Written emails were ignored. It took over 6 weeks to receive a final decision. This is a known recurring issue affecting multiple Nissan Pathfinder and Nissan Armada owners dating back to 2021-2022 models. Other owners have reported identical melting of front grille plastic components under normal driving and parking conditions. In at least one documented case, Nissan sent an engineer for physical inspection and immediately confirmed warranty coverage — contradicting their standard practice of denying claims based on photos only. The melting of exterior plastic components on a brand new vehicle raises serious concerns about the quality and heat resistance of materials used by Nissan, and potential safety hazards if the root cause is internal heat rather than external factors. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter as it may indicate a manufacturing defect affecting multiple 2021-2025 Nissan Pathfinder and Armada vehicles.Read more

This issue involves a documented and recurring safety-related defect that was reported multiple times while my vehicle was still covered under Nissan’s factory warranty related to the airbag system. My 2020 Nissan Altima currently has approximately 53,900 miles and has experienced repeated airbag/SRS failures associated with diagnostic code B1436-13, indicating an open circuit within the passen

During several warranty-period service visits, the diagnostic codes were reportedly cleared, however, the underlying wiring harness issue does not appear to have been permanently corrected. I have the full history service record for this car with notes from 3 Nissan Dealers. I have documented communications with Nissan Consumer Affairs dating back to May 13, 2024 regarding this ongoing concern. In addition, I have photographic evidence showing the same airbag fault code on February 22, 2025, along with additional correspondence with Nissan dated March 18, 2025. Both of these events occurred while the vehicle remained within the applicable warranty coverage period. The airbag warning light has now returned again, and I have been presented with a repair estimate exceeding $5,200 for a condition that was previously reported and addressed unsuccessfully while the vehicle was under warranty coverage. According to Nissan’s 2020 Warranty Information Booklet, the Restraint System, including airbags and related electronic control systems, is covered under Nissan’s 5-year/60,000-mile warranty coverage. Because this safety concern was documented during the warranty period and prior repair attempts did not resolve the issue. Given that this matter involves a critical vehicle safety system that could affect passenger airbag deployment, I am hopeful this can be resolved.Read more

My electric vehicle is subject to an active battery recall (NHTSA ID: 24V-700) involving excessive lithium deposits within battery cells, which may increase electrical resistance, cause dangerous battery overheating, and create fire risk during Level 3 DC fast charging. Due to this defect, Nissan has instructed owners not to use Level 3 quick charging (CHAdeMO), removing a core function of the ve
... hicle and rendering it effectively unusable for normal EV operation, reliable long-distance travel, relocation, and essential transportation. Nissan’s guidance assumes owners can rely on Level 2 charging, which for my vehicle requires approximately 7–8 hours for a full charge under ideal conditions. Because I do not have residential Level 2 access, the loss of Level 3 charging renders the vehicle functionally unusable for my living situation. This defect severely compromises both my safety and mobility by forcing me into an impossible choice: either risk using the charging method associated with battery overheating and potential fire, or lose access to essential transportation. The defect also forces prolonged public Level 2 charging sessions simply to maintain vehicle operation, creating significant daily hardship. Without safe fast charging capability, the vehicle cannot reasonably support long-distance travel or interstate relocation, leaving me effectively unable to move out of state without major financial and logistical burden. I have pursued resolution directly with Nissan and through BBB Auto Line. Nissan acknowledged the recall but declined buyback or meaningful relief, instead advising continued waiting for a future remedy. After approximately two years without timely corrective action, the vehicle remains subject to serious safety restrictions, diminished value, loss of core functionality, and ongoing consumer harm.Read more

The sunroof completely dislodged from the vehicle and flew off into the traffic behind me on a highway. This included the entire sunroof - the frame, casing, window, mechanics and all! This was obviously a major safety issue for any vehicle driving behind me as well as a safety issue for me driving while such an explosive event occurred - highly alarming and dangerous. The problem has not yet bee

Hello: I own a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While on the internet I found an NHTSA announcement that said there were problems with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The vehicle has 80,800 miles on it. The recall states that the warranty covers 7 years/ 84,000 miles. I looked on your website and found there’s no recall for that transmission. Is that correct? I have included the link below.

* This complaint concerns a catastrophic failure of the transmission in my vehicle. This defect was first reported to a Ford dealer while still within the 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty (Jan 3, 2023, at 58,679 miles; Invoice #XXX). * The condition worsened. Between July 2024 - Jan. 2026, I received 7 digital "Service Engine Soon" warnings via the Ford App. My dealer advised that the vehicl
... e was "OK to drive" as long as the light (which never stayed on) was not flashing. I was told diagnostics could not be made unless the light was active at the dealership. Jan 16, 2026, the light came on; I was able to take the truck to the dealer. A fault code was finally captured, but the dealer reported a two-month service backlog. I could not wait that long. *Feb 2026, I established a clean engine baseline. I spent $833.15 to replace O2 sensors (EJ’s Automotive) to rule out engine−related performance issues. During this service (at 103,431 miles), an inspection confirmed metallic clutch material contamination in the transmission fluid only 10,248 miles after a 2nd professional flush. This failure occurred despite a total maintenance investment of $11,533.80 across 21 service visits. * This failure resulted in a dangerous Loss of Motive Power, creating a collision risk. The vehicle is currently grounded and completely inoperable. The dealership verbally designated the vehicle as VOR due to the confirmed diagnosis, only to contradict that status by claiming it was "driveable" after I declined a $15,000 quote for a teardown to diagnose the issue. * Since the truck can no longer tow, 2 third-party transports for a horse and a trailer relocation are necessary. The failure has also resulted in a total parasitic battery drain. The tailgate latch and door locks are inoperable, suggesting the transmission fault is interfering with module communication. This is consistent with the root cause Ford has acknowledged in TSBs 24-2101 and 25-2126 involving the CDF clutch drum sleeve. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OFRead more

While attempting a slow right turn from a complete stop at an intersection, I heard a loud thunk sound followed by an immediate loss of power steering response. The steering wheel spun freely with little resistance while the front tires did not respond proportionally. I was able to safely pull over. Upon restarting the vehicle it produced an abnormal wheezing sound suggesting additional mechanical
... stress. At the time of the failure the vehicle had approximately 40,000 miles, which I believe represents a premature failure for a safety-critical steering component. The vehicle was brought to a Hyundai dealership for inspection. The dealer pulled diagnostic fault codes, found none, performed a 20-minute test drive, and returned the vehicle stating they could not find anything wrong. No physical inspection of the steering components was performed. The failure condition — a slow full-lock turn from a complete stop — was never specifically replicated during the dealer's test drive. The problem has not been confirmed or repaired by the dealer. The vehicle is available for inspection. My safety and the safety of other drivers was put at risk by the sudden and unexpected loss of steering control. No warning lights appeared prior to or during the failure.Read more
