This is a follow-up to two previous complaints. The first complaint was filed around 5/22/25, and the second complaint was filed around 7/08/25. The complaint is related to a 2022 GMC Yukon that we purchased new. As reported in the previous complaints, we experienced several problems with the suspension and steering of the vehicle. The SUV continues to have a knocking, cracking, snapping noise com
... ing from the front suspension when making a right or left turn, or u-turn. The dealer has made several attempts to fix it, but continues to occur. The warning lights continue to be set on and off, but not as often. The infoentertainment system as well. One of the other reported issues was the low oil warning light coming up and thus oil consumption. The SUV was taken to the dealer on 9/11/25, and the GMC service staff reported the SUV, during the summer hot days, was 1.9, almost two quarts. They asked to drive the SUV for an additional 2000 miles, and it was short by .9 quart. GMC claimed it is normal, but per their recommendations on oil changes, the vehicle would be 7 quarts between oil changes unless the driver checks the level every 1500 to 2000 miles. Not only was the information misleading as they denied to perform any services, but also is a safety concern for the damages it can cause to the vehicle, especially if it goes on safety mode. Around 7/24/25, we submitted a request for a buy-back to GM, which they approved 30 days later; however, they still have not made good on the promise, and the vehicle remains with these safety, operational, and mechanical issues.Read more

The system has many errors, The primary issue is the forward collision warning indicator light is on showing that the service is off. But it isn't, you can go into the system settings and turn the service on and off without issue. The light stays on. It does work as far as I can tell also. It seems to be causing the paddle shifting to be disabled. I can't downshift going down a steep grade and am
... being required to use by brakes. Which can be very dangerous. It is causing another issue that I cannot recall at the moment. There is another issue with the settings of the vehicle randomly changing to Euro type metric settings. The clock changing to 24 hour, tire pressure changing to kpa? mph changing to kph, all the different unit of measurements changing over. Randomly, not at the same time but consistently every few weeks. At first it seemed like it was connected to a monthly software update, but now its random. The vehicle has been taken to a Jeep dealership in Sherman, tx about the issue of the Forward collision system and they fixed it. Then the problem reappeared a month afterward. I've called and they confirm that the correct US software is installed. I am the only driver of the vehicle, so no one else is changing the settings. I work a full time 9-5 job and do not work close to a dealership, which has become an issue for these matters. All the issues I have had with the vehicle seem to be related to them updating the software without my approval. Currently my vehicle has 71k miles on it and won't be covered by the 50k warranty. The warning light issue started after 50k miles.Read more

The information screen in the instrument cluster between the speedometer and tachometer went blank. Sometimes it will light up blue or even function. The screen is the display for fuel, temperature, odometer, gear selected, etc. From what I have read this happens to many of these vehicles. The fix dealers are using is to use remanufactured parts which are back ordered with no known date of del
... ivery. I am informed the remanufactured part is about $500 not including labor. The vehicle will run and drive, however I won't know how much gas I have, I don't know if the vehicle is overheating, and I don't know how many miles I have traveled without trying to track it. If I want the new part to have an accurate odometer I have to leave it with the dealer for an unknown period of time. This seems potentially unsafe and likely to impact many vehicles given that the part is remanufactured and back ordered. A systemic flaw of this nature seems like something which could warrant a safety recall.Read more

On November 11, 2025, my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport experienced a complete brake system failure while driving. The brake pedal suddenly became extremely hard, and there was no braking power at all. The vehicle had to be stopped using the parking brake. This same issue occurred previously in July 2025, when the brake vacuum booster failed and was replaced at the Ford dealership. The problem has now r
... ecurred less than six months later. The vehicle is not safe to drive and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the brakes failed completely without warning while the vehicle was in motion. If traffic conditions had been heavier, a collision could have occurred. The issue has not yet been confirmed by the dealership for this most recent occurrence, but the same Ford dealer that repaired it in July handled the prior failure. The vehicle will be towed there again for inspection. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared before or during either failure. The only symptom was a sudden loss of brake assist and a hard, unresponsive brake pedal. This appears to be a repeated failure of the brake vacuum or brake assist system, which I understand has been part of a previous Ford recall (21C31) affecting 2021 Bronco Sport models. But my VIN number was not included in the Recall. This is my second reporting and needs to be recalled.Read more

The airbag system failed to deploy during a collision. The vehicle is currently in not my possession. The airbag control module, sensors, and airbags themselves can be inspected to determine the cause of non-deployment. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My safety was put at significant risk because the airbags did not deploy during the impact. This increased the potentia
... l for serious injury to the driver and passengers during the crash, as the airbags are a critical part of the vehicle’s safety system designed to prevent head and chest injuries. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet. The vehicle has not been inspected by my insurance and considered totaled. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? A police report was filed for the accident, and my insurance company has been notified. The vehicle has been inspected by insurance, but both parties have been informed of the issue and an inspection has been taken place 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights or airbag system messages appeared prior to the crash. While driving my Honda HR-V under normal conditions around noon on Saturday on NC Highway 54, the vehicle suddenly illuminated multiple dashboard lights and began to decelerate despite pressing the accelerator. It had been serviced at Autopark Honda Service Center on September 19, 2025, including a transmission service, and nothing abnormal (such as debris or metal) was noted or communicated to me. After the incident and I had my car towed to Autopark Honda, I was informed that the transmission had failed. I later learned of Honda Service Bulletin #21-047 (April 27, 2021) concerning premature CVT belt deterioration in 2016–2020 HR-V models. Despite this known issue, Honda has refused responsibility because my vehicle is about 10 months beyond the 7-year warranty extension. I was told that no current fault codes were present and that the vehicle was safe to operate. Relying on the dealership’s professional assurance, I continued normal use of the vehicle. About a couple of weeks later, the vehicle began to jerk and lose smooth acceleration intermittently, worsening by the sixth week. I promptly returned for service. On October 21–22, 2025, the same dealership confirmed transmission codes P0776 and P17F0, diagnosing a CVT failure and recommending full replacement. When questioned about prior diagnostic data, the service manager stated that all data from the September visit had been cleared and that the freeze-frame information was deleted and no longer available. This handling contradicts Nissan’s standard CVT diagnostic protocol, which requires documenting stored codes, inspecting CVT fluid condition, and recording internal temperatures before clearing data. Nissan Consumer Affairs later stated their review relied solely on the dealership’s findings and that missing diagnostic data would not be retrieved. Since the confirmed failure, I have been forced to rent a vehicle at my own expense, exceeding $1000 to date. The vehicle’s reduced power and transmission failure created a serious safety risk, especially as I transport my children in this vehicle. Description of Problem: The 2026 Tesla Model Y does not include an interior emergency release button inside the front trunk (commonly referred to as the “frunk”). Under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 401 (49 C.F.R. § 571.401), all passenger vehicles with a front- or rear-opening trunk compartment are required to have an interior emergency trunk release mechanism that allows a perso
... n to exit if accidentally trapped. Safety Risk: This missing feature presents a significant entrapment hazard, especially for children or smaller individuals who may become enclosed in the frunk either accidentally or during cleaning or maintenance. There is no way to open the frunk from the inside, which could result in suffocation, heat exposure, or death. The lack of an emergency release mechanism makes it impossible for an occupant to self-rescue if trapped. The vehicle and frunk assembly are available for inspection upon request. Problem Confirmation: This issue has been reproduced and confirmed directly by observation—no emergency release mechanism or glow-in-the-dark handle is present inside the frunk. As of now, Tesla has not confirmed the problem and the company is aware of this omission as stated in their owners manual Inspections Conducted: The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or any independent service center regarding this specific issue Warning Lamps/Messages: There were no warning lamps, alerts, or messages indicating the absence of the emergency release system. The issue was discovered during routine use and inspection of the front trunk area Other Tesla vehicles, including earlier Model Y and Model 3 units, are equipped with an illuminated emergency release handle in the rear trunk. However, the 2026 Model Y frunk lacks any such release mechanism, suggesting a potential design change or oversight that could warrant a federal safety recall. Attached will be pictures of the cars manufactured before and after 9/2025.Read more

Subject: Request for Investigation and Recall – Door Handle Failure on Volkswagen Vehicle Dear National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, I am writing to formally request an investigation and potential recall concerning a serious safety issue with my 2022 ID.4 AWD Pro S Volkswagen vehicle. The problem involves the door handles failing to open from either the inside or outside of the vehic
... le. I can provide video evidence showing that, while the vehicle is fully unlocked, with no child safety mechanisms engaged and my foot on the brake at a complete stop, the doors cannot be opened from either the front or rear seats. This issue occurs repeatedly—approximately four to five times per week—and has become more frequent since the “919” recall was performed on the vehicle. Despite this, the dealership has stated that the issue is a “non-issue,” claiming that other vehicles of the same model exhibit similar behavior. The inability to open a vehicle door in normal operating conditions is a serious safety concern that could endanger occupants in an emergency situation. Volkswagen’s response minimizes a clear risk to consumer safety. If the software controlling door operation cannot be relied upon to perform such a critical function, it should be removed or replaced with a mechanical mechanism that guarantees the ability to open the door at all times. Ever since I bought the vehicle new in 2021 I have had perpetual problems with the software and technology. The cruise control system has gone out completely, all electrical fails in the vehicle, apple car play regularly goes out. ... issues like this happen to a lot of people with the same type of car as mine and that this issue the manufacturers can’t take responsibility and do the right thing and address this issue . We made an effort to get a new car thinking that it would give us a pease of mind for at least 10 years since it was not a pocket change price tag. We believed it was an investment or reassurance of not having issues since it was a brand new car.Read more
