This is not covered by manufactures warranty and thd dealer presented me with an estimate over $11,000 to replace the drivers seat and floor wiring harnesses. I also filed a chain under my comprehensive insurance which was denied as the insurance company believes the corrosion was ongoing vs an all of the sudden issue. I believe the Ioniq has design flaws as critical connections should be better protected. Kids in thd back seat and front seats can frequently spill things and this fat seems way to fragile with this type of design. Its done this especially when it comes to hills, its terrifying but I have no other vehicles and now only drive it locally, avoid hills, and only if I absolutely have to. This is my first Nissan and wasn't aware of issues like this as I typically buy Buick's, so I researched Nissan issues and recalls and recently saw a recall from October 2025 related to the fuel pump injector system reset that describes what ive experienced exactly, but when I took it to the Nissan dealership in Saratoga NY, they said its not a recall, just a warning for my model and year, and they would need to charge me to inspect it, and didnt advise if it was repairable. Anyone else who has this model Nissan I would want warned immediately, and I mean immediately. Its scary seeing other vehicles coming up behind me and I dont know if my van will accelerate or not, I took out a loan to buy this vehicle and am still paying it off. I cant buy another right now. The actual recall for what appears to be the same issue came out for 2013 and newer Nissans but again, should include this model for year 2012. For my Nissan Leaf 2019, I used DC fast charger to charge up while returning home from another town, with battery below 8%. It charged and got home and plugged in my Level2 charger overnight. In morning it displayed a “Service EV System” error and became undriveable. It would not go into Drive or Reverse. It will go into Neutral or Parking only. When I got it towed to Dealership, they c
... leared the code and gave back the car as drivable. But when I plugged in Level2 charger overnight, next morning same issue occured. Now Dealership did full diagnostics and tells me the car needs PDM (Power Distribution Module) replaced. Nissan previously issued Service Campaign P9351 for this exact issue, but my VIN is not included. I believe my vehicle has the same defective PDM and poses a safety risk due to sudden loss of drive power. Nissan has declined coverage. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether the recall should be expanded to include additional affected vehicles. Also there is open Recall R24B2 regarding Lithium Battery getting too hot durinig Fast DC charging for which they don't have the Remedy yet. I recall that only 3-4 weeks before above incident, I had my previous Fast DC charging session, after which I got a message on dashboard saying something like "Battery is very hot". I waited for 10 minutes before driving. Each time I would drive from standstill position, it will accelerate very slowly, but eventually drive OK after speeding up. I came home and let it cool overnight, and did not notice same symptom again until above PDM related issue happened after next Fast DC charging session.Read more

3 out of 4 of my doors have to be locked and unlocked by hand instead of using my Nissan key button to unlock my car. 3 of the motors are bad or it's some kind of electrical issue that goggle says is common in 2019 to 2020 Nissan Altimas. I paid 230 dollars for the diagnostic, They sent the video to KIA tech line. KIA told me I have to get a subpoena . To get a copy.. Does that tell you they may be hiding something?? So I have brought this to the attention of 3 different KIA dealers. They said hands are tied to to KIA tech line . My 2013 KIA Sportage looks as good if not better then some cars 3 years old .Everything works except The 2.4 liter motor with bad rod bearings. While parking, parking collision warning will go off displaying a warning and sound with multiple beeps while my automatic emergency braking system will engage my brakes while reversing unexpectedly without obstacles in the way. While driving the forward collision warning will display a malfunction warning on my dash and sometimes engages my brakes unexpectedly with no object in front of me. This has led to sudden stops in the middle of the road causing other cars to slam their brakes so they don't rear-end me. I have reported this to a local mechanic while we replaced my shocks, he stated there was wires loose and he secured them causing my backup camera to work for a short time after. It soon went back to being a blue screen or having an altered fuzzy image when reversing. These has been a reoccurring issue but I am in Germany so I have yet to find a dealership willing to inspect the vehicle.
