My family and I traveled to Ohio to visit family. After stopping for fuel, 6hrs into our drive, our 2021 nissan Armada started bucking, skipping, and eventually stalled 50 yards from the fuel station. Several attempts at restarting the vehicle resulted in a sputtering idle and stall. This put my family is grave danger as we were beginning our acceleration onto the interstate at 11pm eastern standa

This is very dangerous and its evident their's more Armadas with the faulty pump than nissan originally recalled. My wife and I are extremely disappointed and frightened to drive this suv 10 hours back home once its fixed. Please review and consider our vehicle for reimbursement for the near miss situation. While driving, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced sudden loss of power and electrical failures without warning. During these events, the dashboard flickers, warning messages appear, and the vehicle shuts off or goes into reduced power mode. When this occurs, steering becomes extremely difficult, braking becomes stiff, and the vehicle cannot accelerate. These incidents have happened multiple t
... imes in different driving situations, including: At stoplights While pulling into intersections Backing out of parking spaces Driving on public roads, including dark rural roads Driving with my three minor children in the vehicle On at least one occasion, the vehicle shut off while pulling onto a road with oncoming traffic, leaving us stopped in the roadway with no power and limited steering/braking. This created an immediate and serious risk of collision. The vehicle eventually restarted after several attempts. The problem has occurred repeatedly over many months. Multiple independent repair facilities have attempted to diagnose and repair the issue, but no definitive cause has been identified, and the failures continue. The vehicle has had numerous electrical, sensor, engine, and powertrain-related repairs, yet the loss-of-power events persist. Because the vehicle can suddenly shut down while in motion and compromise steering and braking, I believe this is a serious safety defect that could result in a crash, injury, or worse.Read more

This dealership has attempted repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting of the screen system but the problem continues to occur. -Yes. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by authorized Hyundai dealership service departments acting on behalf of the manufacturer. Hyundai corporate has also been contacted regarding the unresolved defect. -The primary symptom is sudden screen malfunction without warning, including flickering, strobing, freezing or complete black out. While operating my Tesla using the Auto Park function (on 12/8/2025 between 8:45 am and 9:00 am) , which is part of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, the vehicle initiated an automated parking maneuver. During the maneuver, the vehicle was reversing into a parking space when it failed to detect a stationary wall located behind the vehicle. The vehicle continued reversing without issuing any vis
... ual or audible collision warnings and without performing automatic braking. The Auto Park system did not disengage or request driver intervention prior to impact. The vehicle subsequently collided with the wall, resulting in damage to the vehicle. Based on the vehicle behavior, it appears that the object detection and/or obstacle avoidance functions—relying on onboard cameras and proximity sensing—did not properly recognize the stationary obstacle during the automated maneuver. Following the incident, I contacted Tesla to request a review of vehicle telemetry and system logs to determine whether a fault existed within the Auto Park software, perception system, or associated sensors. Tesla advised that a service diagnostic fee would be required solely to access and review the logs, despite the incident occurring during use of an automated driving feature.Read more

I own a 2022 Nissan LEAF (VIN [XXX] ) that is subject to a Nissan safety recall advising owners not to use DC fast charging due to risk of battery overheating and fire. DC fast charging is a core function of an electric vehicle. Nissan’s instruction to avoid fast charging effectively removes this capability. In addition, some public charging networks have restricted or blocked Nissan LEAF fast
... charging, further limiting safe operation. Nissan has not provided a permanent repair. A proposed software update does not address the underlying physical battery risk and does not restore full charging functionality. As a result, the vehicle cannot be used as intended, and owners are left with reduced charging capability and increased safety uncertainty. I believe this defect presents an ongoing safety risk and warrants regulatory review. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The factory-installed Uconnect infotainment system in my 2019 Dodge Challenger intermittently malfunctions by remaining stuck on the rearview camera display after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse and into drive or park. The rearview camera image does not disengage as designed and continues to display randomly during normal forward driving. This appears to be a failure of the Uconnect radio/s
... oftware system rather than the camera itself. The issue occurs unpredictably and has happened multiple times without warning. Restarting the vehicle is sometimes required to restore normal screen function. This malfunction creates a safety hazard because the display obstructs access to navigation, climate controls, and other critical vehicle information while driving forward, causing driver distraction and reduced situational awareness. Backup cameras are federally mandated safety equipment, and failure of the system to disengage properly interferes with safe vehicle operation. Additionally, I am medically light-sensitive due to chronic migraines. When the rearview camera display remains active unexpectedly, the bright and high-contrast screen significantly worsens my symptoms, increasing pain, visual discomfort, and distraction while driving. This exacerbates the safety risk and makes the malfunction an extreme concern for me during vehicle operation. No warning lights or messages appear prior to or during the malfunction. The problem has not yet been repaired. The vehicle and system remain available for inspection upon request. This failure mode matches known Dodge/Stellantis rearview camera and Uconnect software defects reported on similar model-year vehicles, although my VIN is not currently included in an active recall.Read more

Summary of the Problem: The passenger side front (left passenger) door lock actuator on my 2019 Nissan Rogue has failed for the second time. This is a repeat failure of the same component, which was previously replaced approximately four years ago. The lock intermittently fails to lock or unlock using the key fob, interior door switch, and manual controls. This defect presents a significant safe
... ty concern. When the actuator fails: •The door may remain unlocked while driving •The door may fail to unlock, trapping occupants inside the vehicle •Occupants may be unable to exit the vehicle in an emergency •There is a risk that the door could open unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion Because this is a passenger door, it directly affects occupant safety, particularly for children, elderly passengers, or anyone who may need to exit the vehicle quickly. Failure Details •Vehicle: 2019 Nissan Rogue •Mileage at current failure: approximately 74,000 miles •Door affected: Left rear passenger door •Failure mode: Lock actuator intermittently fails to lock/unlock •Methods affected: Key fob, interior lock button, and manual door lock •Prior repair: Door lock actuator replaced once before; same issue has reoccurred This indicates a pattern of premature failure rather than normal wear and tear. Frequency and Pattern: This appears to be a known and widespread issue affecting Nissan Rogue vehicles across multiple model years. There are numerous consumer complaints describing identical failures of door lock actuators on Nissan Rogue vehicles. A class action lawsuit (Khalifa v. Nissan North America, Inc.) was filed alleging a latent defect in Nissan door lock actuators across multiple Nissan models, including the Rogue. Although the lawsuit was administratively stayed pending arbitration, the underlying safety defect remains unresolved for vehicle owners. Purchased my vehicle brand new in October 2024 and around 3000 miles give or take the front brakes started to squeal. I reported the issue to the dealership on several occasions and was told this is normal due to dust, etc. I have owned 3 brand new vehicles in my lifetime and I have never had this issue with a brand new vehicle with 3000 miles or less on a vehicle; especially a vehicle purchased
... for almost $60,000. My vehicle currently has 17,000 miles and the squealing continues just as it was at 3,000 miles. My front brakes currently show 18% brake life left on the dash in the vehicle status. This is unheard of for a brand new vehicle to be needing brakes this soon. Which would explain the squealing brakes, they have placed cheap brakes, rotors, etc on this new model. If it weren't for this vehicle status feature showing the life remaining for each component, I could possibly unknowingly experience brake failure and would not have been aware that the brakes were at the end of life so soon; almost less than a year from purchase. This issue needs to be addressed with the manufacturer and looked into before someone driving a brand new vehicle, thinking they still have good brake life ends up killing themselves or someone else due to brake failure.Read more

Component: Air Bags / Occupant Classification System (OCS) Problem Description: The Occupant Classification System (OCS) in my 2016 Infiniti QX60 is malfunctioning. The passenger airbag indicator light flickers on and off even when the passenger seat is empty. When an adult passenger is seated properly with the seatbelt fastened, the system frequently fails to detect the occupant and does not con
... sistently indicate that the passenger airbag is active. The issue occurs intermittently and unpredictably, both while driving and shortly after vehicle startup. Dealer Repair Attempts: I have brought the vehicle to the Infiniti dealership multiple times for this issue. Each visit resulted in a paid service where the dealership “reset” the OCS module and stated the issue was resolved. However, the malfunction returned immediately. On one occasion, the issue reoccurred as soon as I pulled out of the dealership parking lot, at which point I returned the vehicle to service. After that visit, I was told the only solution would be to replace all related components at my expense. Recall Concern: Although my VIN does not currently show an active recall, the 2016 Infiniti QX60 model year is known to have a recall for an OCS airbag defect. My vehicle is exhibiting the exact same symptoms described in the recall. The dealership has refused to perform the repair under recall coverage solely because my VIN is not listed. Safety Risk: This is a serious safety concern. The passenger airbag may fail to deploy when an adult is present, increasing the risk of severe injury or death in the event of a collision. The system cannot be relied upon to function properly. Outcome Requested: I am requesting that this defect be investigated and addressed as a safety-related issue consistent with the known recall affecting this model year.Read more

These symptoms exactly match the early warning signs in safety recall 25V-437 for defe
... ctive engine bearings that can cause progressive degradation, engine damage, or failure. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Nissan dealer, who performed the recall inspection (oil pan drop) but reportedly found no metal debris. The dealer then diagnosed separate issues—oil temperature sensor, coolant temperature sensor replacement, full oil pan replacement for minor seepage, and other warning lights—and quoted approximately $1,900 in customer-paid repairs, claiming they are unrelated to the recall or warranty despite the symptoms aligning precisely with the recall's description of bearing-related limp mode. This created a safety risk due to sudden loss of motive power while driving, increasing the potential for a crash. As a full-time cancer researcher and PhD student who depends on this vehicle for daily lab commuting and time-sensitive experiments, the breakdown and repair dispute have caused major hardship: over a week without transportation, extensive time coordinating tows, appointments, and escalations with Nissan Consumer Affairs, and disruption to critical research. The dealer confirmed the limp mode and warnings, and inspected the vehicle under the recall procedure. Warning lamps/messages appeared suddenly prior to towing; no unusual noises noted earlier. The affected components (engine controls/sensors potentially stressed by the bearing defect) remain at the dealer for inspection. The recall should provide free ECM reprogramming, oil change, and gasket replacement even without debris, yet the dealer is charging for diagnostics and repairs from the same defect.Read more

I am submitting a formal written complaint to supplement my existing NHTSA Safety Report ID 11702339 regarding a serious fuel system defect on my 2013 Kia Sorento. My car began experiencing sluggish starting, sputtering during acceleration, stalling at stop signs and traffic lights, and a strong fuel odor. A check engine light subsequently illuminated, and due to safety concerns, the vehicle was t
... owed to a Kia dealership for diagnosis. The dealership confirmed and documented fuel leakage from the high-pressure fuel pressure regulator and fuel contamination in the engine oil. This defect presents a serious safety risks: increased risk of engine fire due to fuel leakage, unexpected loss of power while stopped or in traffic, and increased likelihood of a collision due to engine stalling. This vehicle previously had its engine replaced under a Kia recall in 2020, making this failure particularly concerning. Fuel system failures and post-recall engine-related defects have been the subject of multiple Kia recalls, service campaigns, and NHTSA investigations involving engine fires and fuel leaks. Despite the dealership's documented diagnosis and clear safety implications, Kia Consumer Affairs denied recall coverage and refused to assist with repair costs, stating this is not a recall-related issue. The estimated repair cost exceeds $1,700, and the vehicle remains unsafe and undrivable. Given the confirmed fuel leakage, fuel contamination of engine oil, prior recall engine replacement, repeated stalling events, and Kia's refusal to acknowledge responsibility, I respectfully request that NHTSA review this case as part of a potential defect trend, particularly involving high-pressure fuel system components on Kia Sorento vehicles with prior recall engine replacements. I am submitting this complaint to ensure this safety issue is formally documented, investigated, and considered for further action to protect consumers. Thank you for your attention to this serious safety matterRead more
