(Waymo VIN unknown) On Saturday, December 20, 2025, a power outage occurred in San Francisco, California, disabling and parking a significant number of Waymo/Alphabet, Inc. robotaxis in traffic lanes at intersections where the outage had shut off stoplight traffic controls. They did not operate according to California Vehicle Code §21800 (d)(1), which states “The driver of any vehicle approac
... hing an intersection which has official traffic control signals that are inoperative shall stop at the intersection and proceed when it is safe to do so.” The robotaxis did not proceed when traffic cleared and, in some reported instances, blocked a traffic lane for several hours. Waymo subsequently claimed to remedy this fault, stating online that “...we are now implementing fleet-wide updates that provide the Driver with specific power outage context, allowing it to navigate more decisively.” Waymo statement: [XXX] On December 29, 2025, a video from [XXX] was downloaded. According to the social media post, this recording was made on [XXX], by a TikTok user, [XXX] . The video shows a Waymo robotaxi stopped blocking a [XXX] onramp in San Francisco. On the soundtrack, an occupant in the vehicle can be heard saying the robotaxi had already reversed twice. On October 16, 2025, while I was working and driving my vehicle, I experienced a sudden failure after stopping to complete a delivery. When I returned to my car and attempted to shift into drive, the vehicle would not shift gears. I was fortunate this occurred while I was pulled over on the side of the road. The problem was determined to be a failure of the shift cable connecting the shifter to t
... he transmission. Because of this failure, the vehicle could not be safely driven. I was required to have the vehicle towed home. Since that date, the vehicle has been unusable. It has now been more than two and a half months without a repair. I contacted the Dodge dealership where I purchased the vehicle in 2012. The dealership confirmed this issue is covered under an active safety recall. However, they stated they cannot perform the repair because the required recall part is not available and no repair remedy has been provided by Mopar. I have contacted Mopar customer support multiple times requesting an estimated repair timeline or an alternative solution. I have been repeatedly told to wait, with no estimated date for parts availability, no temporary fix, and no assistance offered. I have not taken the vehicle to the dealership because it cannot be safely driven without manually forcing it into gear, which poses a safety risk, and towing it would create additional expense when the issue has already been confirmed as recall-related. As a result of this unresolved recall, I have suffered financial loss. I rely on this vehicle for work, and being without it for over two and a half months has caused lost income. I am requesting NHTSA review this matter due to the unreasonable delay in providing a safety recall remedy and the continued lack of assistance.Read more

... s able to avoid other vehicles. I was unable to restart the vehicle and had to have it towed to a Nissan dealer. It took them 2 months to diagnose and repair the issue. In the end, the cause was that a hole developed on top of the muffler. The vehicle experienced repeated failures involving multiple systems, including the transmission system (transmission replacement), powertrain/engine system (cylinder-related repairs), electronic control systems (vehicle computer/control module replaced multiple times), electrical system (ongoing electrical faults), and rear safety systems (backup camera failure). The vehicle is available for insp
... ection upon request. These failures created ongoing safety concerns due to loss of vehicle reliability and malfunction of safety-related electrical systems, raising concern about unexpected mechanical or electrical failure during operation. The issues were confirmed and documented by Ford-authorized dealerships and independent service centers. Despite repeated repairs, the same or related problems continued to occur. The vehicle was inspected and repaired by Ford dealerships; however, one servicing dealership (Ford of Ventura) later closed, leaving unresolved issues without continuity of service. Warning lights and system alerts occurred prior to failures along with ongoing electrical malfunctions. Exact dates of first warning indicators are UNKNOWN, but symptoms recurred over time despite repairs. The vehicle was purchased with approximately 38,500 miles. Due to COVID-19-related delays, dealership availability and parts shortages caused months-long wait times for service, and when the vehicle was finally inspected by a dealership, it had approximately 60,000 miles. Major system failures occurred well under 100,000 miles. Ford later declined assistance, citing out-of-state purchase and maintenance not performed exclusively at Ford dealerships, despite regular routine maintenance. The cause of the failures is UNKNOWN, but the pattern suggests systemic mechanical and electrical defects rather than owner misuse. The high-voltage battery on my 2022 Nissan Leaf is subject to Recall 25V655. The recall notice states that the battery cells can develop excessive lithium deposits, which increases electrical resistance and can cause rapid battery heating during Level 3 fast charging. Nissan instructs owners not to use Level 3 charging at all until a “remedy” is available. The issue is that the remedy describ
... ed by Nissan is not an actual repair of the battery defect. Nissan states it will install software that monitors for “state-of-charge fluctuation” and, if detected, will prevent the vehicle from restarting or recharging in order to avoid a thermal incident. This means the defect inside the battery cells is still present, and the car may disable itself if the defect begins to appear. The recall materials also state there is no warning before overheating occurs. This creates multiple safety concerns: • The underlying battery defect remains uncorrected. • The vehicle can become immobilized (unable to restart or recharge) if the software detects the condition. • Loss of Level 3 charging capability affects the ability to travel safely or plan charging when needed. • A battery fire risk exists during Level 3 charging if the defect is not detected in time. Nissan’s documents state that the software is meant only to prevent the “progression” of a thermal incident, not to repair the defective battery. I am concerned that my vehicle contains a known hazardous defect that has not been physically repaired and that the software-only response is inadequate to ensure safety. I am filing this complaint so NHTSA is aware that the remedy being offered does not address the internal battery defect itself and may leave owners exposed to continued safety and reliability risks.Read more

On 11/29/25, my 2023 Nissan Rogue suffered a sudden and complete engine failure while driving at Hwy speed (70mph). The vehicle lost propulsion unexpectedly, which created a significant safety risk. The engine now will not start and the dealership has confirmed the turbo failed forcing coolant into the engine and now it requires a full engine replacement. Prior to the failure, I had received rec
... all information where it states that early warning signs include engine malfunction light. This came one twice, but went off right away. I called to schedule my oil change and asked that I have the recall reviewed, explicitly stating that the symptom was consistent with the known VC-Turbo Engine recall. I was told on the phone that there is no current remedy for the recall and nothing would be scheduled for that at that time. My oil change and tire rotation appointment was 11/18/25. I picked up my car on 11/24/25 upon returning from travel. Five days later the engine failed catastrophically without additional warning. The dealer diagnosed the failure as a turbocharger failure that forced coolant into the engine resulting in catastrophic internal damage. The engine is now inoperable and requires replacement. When I inquired about recall coverage, the dealer stated that they did not observe visible bearing damage and therefore concluded that the active recall does not apply and the current recall protocol can only be applied if the vehicle can run post-update, and since my in inoperable, the protocol could not be completed. The extended warranty will cover the turbo but not the full engine because they cannot identify the full extent of damage without full engine teardown at my expense. The failure mode (engine malfunction light, turbo failure, coolant intrusion, sudden engine shutdown) aligns with the failure pattern on the Nissan engine recall. The absence of visible bearing damage on post-failure inspection does not rule out defect, and the denial is unjust.Read more

Had new Western Wideout snowplow (recommended by Western) installed by Western dealership on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd with the factory snow plow prep package (RPO VYU). Vehicles instrument cluster, HVAC, Radio and other electrical systems cut out while operating snowplow. GM is well aware of this issue per GM Service Bulleting NO.: PIT5387C (Feb 2016) through PIT5387P (10/17/2024), as wel
... l as GM Upfitter Integration UI Bulletin #124K (11/7/2019). All list this specific vehicle. This issue effects snowplows by all manufactures and is not confined to Western. Per the above bulletins published by GM, GM is to supply and install a wiring harness under a unique one time warranty procedure that does not expire with the vehicles base warranty. GM dealerships as well as GM's consumer assistance hotline state that GM part number 84043394 (fitting 2014-2019 vehicles) referenced to in PIT5387C and other bulletins has been discontinued. UP Bulletin 124k refers to and instructs to install GM part number 84288774 VYU Snow Plow Jumper harness per the latest version of GM service Bulletin PIT5387. With a note stating "this jumper harness and installation will be provided (one time) without charge". GM dealerships and GM customer assistance (parts) state that PN 84288774 does not appear in their parts system as a valid GM part. The official GM parts store [XXX] lists this part but shows that it does not fit this vehicle. Therefore neither GM nor Western is able to provide any actionable solution to this known and documented issue. GM manufactured, sold, promoted, advertised and continues to state that snowplows can be installed on these vehicles with (or without) GM's factory snow plow prep option. Additionally GM continues to issue and publish Bulletins instructing GM dealerships how to fix this issue despite being fully aware of this impossibility. GM has also made it impossible for GM to honor GM's own warranty that is still in effect for A KNOWN SAFTY ISSUE. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIRead more

I am submitting this complaint to report a dangerous and repeatable safety defect involving my Nissan Altima that caused me injury and resulted in vehicle damage. On December 16, 2025, I parked my vehicle on an incline and shifted it into Park. The gear selector and dashboard indicator both confirmed that the vehicle was in Park. I exited the vehicle and was not applying the brake. While the engin
... e was running, the vehicle remained stationary. However, immediately after I turned the engine off, the vehicle began to roll backward downhill at approximately 5–7 mph without any throttle input or action on my part. As the vehicle rolled, the passenger door struck me and pulled me down the hill, causing injury. My vehicle was also damaged and is currently at a repair facility. Later that same day, when a tow truck driver arrived to recover the vehicle, the exact same failure occurred again. The vehicle was placed in Park, and once the engine was turned off, it again rolled downhill unexpectedly. This occurred in front of the tow truck driver and confirms that this issue is repeatable and not an isolated incident. At no point did the vehicle roll while the engine was running, even though I was out of the vehicle and not applying the brake. The vehicle only moved after the engine was turned off, which indicates that it was not being held by a fully engaged Park mechanism. A vehicle placed in Park should remain stationary once turned off, regardless of incline. The failure of my vehicle to do so created an unattended roll-away hazard that directly caused my injury and posed a serious risk of severe injury or death to me and others.Read more

We were driving on the highway and suddenly lost all power. Vehicle downshifted so hard I thought someone had hit us. Then it was back to normal, driving fine. But now we had no speedometer and the check engine and wrench light were on. My wife said she had felt something like that before but it was minor and at a lower speed. It had never resulted in a check engine light or loss of speedometer. I
... told her to exit the highway. She was shaking like crazy because she thought we just got rear ended. I can see how this could cause someone to completely wreck it was so harsh. We towed it home and when we started it up at home all those error lights were off. So I drove it around the block and it drive fine. I had my friend come take a look. He scanned it and it had a P0720 code. He said his F150 had the same issue and the same code as well a few years back and it was covered. It turns out we have the same transmission in our Expedition that he has in his F150. I havent had a chance to call the dealer yet but the paper I read in the recall and extended waranty coverage states only going up to a 2013 vehicle. They say it was a leadframe issue causing this. My Expedition has the same leadframe, and the same issue. This is very much a saftey concern since it changes harshness of downshifting out of no where. It could be even worse next time locking the wheels up or blowing the engine. Knowing its the same transmission and the same leadframe, why isnt my year model under that recall. I was reading in the forums and there are hundreds of similar questions coming from people with Expeditions and F150s that are near to my year and not covered. ABS MODULE 68295368-AC failed. Prevents anti-locking brakes to function. Only have hydraulic brakes which will allow the vehicle to go into a skid. Does not allow the cruise control to function. This part has been on back order from my dealer since February 25, 2025. I have checked on the statis and have been told they are not even allowed to place any more requests for new customers with this sam
... e defected abs module. There is no after market part available for this model. Only option is to spin the wheel and hope for a working part from a salvage yard. There were recalls for previous models and later models. There are thousands of us, if not more with this problem. When will Stellantis be held accountable and get us the required part. With warning lights on the dash board for brake and traction control, there is little value to try and sell or trade my Ram 1500. Who would by it? With the defective abs module not only am I at risk, but other vehicles on the road could be endangered.Read more
