11/2/2025- The forward collision warning and the automatic emergency braking system engaged and brought my vehicle to a complete stop in the middle of the road when there was no imminent danger of a forward collision occurring. My vehicle was rear ended by the vehicle behind me as a result of the sudden and complete braking of my vehicle. This same incident happened a few days before this collisio
... n, but there was no vehicle behind my vehicle, so no rear end accident happened at that time. 12/1/2026- vehicle inspected at Jim Click Hyundai regarding the sudden stopping of the vehicle. Jim Click determined a fault code FRONT CAMERA BLOCKAGE. Dealer said they cleared the code and the problem should not return. On or around 12/8/2025 the 2025 Hyundai again had the front collision avoidance system randomly setting off alarms when the vehicle was driving on the freeway and other vehicles were traveling alongside the 2025 Hyundai. There was no emergency braking occurring at this time. 12/9/2025- the 2025 Hyundai returned to Jim Click Hyundai and at that time the dealer determined the front camera was showing an obstruction when none was there. They replaced the front camera with a new camera. 12/28/2025- the same problem of the front collision avoidance system and the automatic emergency braking engaged again, even though there was a new front camera installed on the vehicle. The 2025 Hyundai vehicle came to a complete stop in traffic. The vehicle ahead 2+ car lengths ahead swerved from the left lane to the right lane to avoid a box in the road. Driver of the 2025 Hyundai was applying the brakes when the 2025 Hyundai emergency braking system took over and the 2025 Hyundai came to a complete stop in traffic when there was no need for this. 1/2/26- 2025 Hyundai returned to Jim Click Hyundai and remains there while the Service dep't is driving the vehicle trying to diagnose the cause of the continued emergency braking problem.Read more

Major Recalls (2024–2026) Ram 1500 (2019, 2021–2024): Nearly 1.5 million trucks were recalled worldwide due to a software malfunction in the ABS control module that can inadvertently disable the Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Jeep Grand Cherokee & Dodge Durango (2018–2019): Approximately 207,000 SUVs were recalled because a brake control computer could falsely read brake pressure, disabling ABS/ESC and causing brake lights to stay on. This vehicle is equipped with a feature known as "e-pedal" also known as one-pedal driving which is quite common on EVs. When this mode is activated, the accelerator pedal acts as a speed command (vs. power) and when the pedal is not depressed, the vehicle applies brakes until it comes to a standstill. Recently, the system has demonstrated a fault condition, where the Vehicle Control Module (VCM)
... issues a fault warning and disengages the e-pedal mode. This appears to occur randomly after the vehicle has been at a standstill for over one minute (e.g. waiting at a traffic signal) where the driver is using the one-pedal system vs. continuously applying pressure to the brake pedal. The safety issue is that when the system detects a fault and disengages e-pedal, the vehicle starts to move forward, requiring the driver to take immediate action to stop unwanted motion. This can lead to a collision with a vehicle or pedestrian in front of the vehicle. The desired behavior is that when the VCM detects a fault with the e-pedal system, it should engage the Park mode and prevent the vehicle from moving forward. The driver must then depress the brake pedal and affirmatively command the Drive mode before moving. Just disengaging the e-pedal (brake) without prior warning of a fault is a safety hazard.Read more

In November 2025, I recently completed a recall repair to my 2014 Jeep Cherokee (NHSTA #XXX/Jeep #49A). I picked up my Jeep and parked it and did not drive it for several weeks. In December 2025, I rented my 2014 Jeep Cherokee on Turo and within the first 24hrs of driving, the renter contacted me and told me the electronic parking brake malfunctioned when the vehicle was parked, which prevented th
... e car from further operation. I towed the car to a mechanic who confirmed the problem with malfunctioning electronic parking brake (EPB) due to water intrusion in the rear of the vehicle, who then isolated the EPB to enable vehicle operation, and referred me to the Jeep dealership for repair. I retrieved the vehicle and dropped it off at a local Jeep dealership for assessment and repair. The Jeep dealership has confirmed that there is significant water intrusion into the vehicle rear (likely from failing sunroof, as the headliner is also soaked and damaged), where water has collected behind the plastic interior panels; and indicated the EPB module, located in the rear, needs to be replaced. I authorized this replacement/repair which was completed. My research of this issue indicates in addition to the above recall for power tailgate malfunction due to water intrusion, that the defective EPB is also due to water intrusion [XXX] ). I believe this to be highly likely since after owner and operating the vehicle daily for two years and this issue only arising immediately following the power tailgate recall repair INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

On April 29, 2025 we took our truck in for these 3 recalls Serial Data Gateway Module • N242435631 -Fuel Injector Flow Rate• N242450630 - Park Assist Retrofit - Exp 05/31/27• N222375790. We picked the truck up and had no issues. Then on November 28, 2025 our fuel injector 2 went out. According to articles we have found the recall for the fuel injector flow rate specifically addresses the ECM
... not controlling fuel injector flow rates and because it was not doing this correctly it put added stress on the fuel injector #2. We took the vehicle to Ken Garf Chevrolet American Fork Utah and they diagnosed the issue as the fuel injector 2 being bad. They quoted us with parts 2000 dollars to fix it. After researching this recall information we took the vehicle to Sky Chevrolet in Provo Utah where we got the vehicle and where it was serviced in April and asked them to look into the fix. They are telling us that they cannot find any correlation between the fuel injector flow rate and the fuel injector 2 going out so they are wanting $600 dollars to fix the fuel injector flow rate. The next thing since the N242435631 update was performed, the automated clock on longer syncs. This is a known side effect of the gateway module update. We were again told that they could find no correlation between the clock and the recall. When doing research we found that that the 2 are very much connected. I would also like to complain about Ken Garf and how they "diagnosed" an issue we told them was already there. I would like to refunded the 200 dollars for the diagnostic fee.Read more

In early January 2026 there was rough/delayed shifting, whining noises, and fluid leaks. Probably linked to the faulty UA80E/F transmission type. We have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with 130k miles on it. It has the 2.4 engine with known manufacturing defects. We are the 2nd owner and timely & proper maintenance was completed on it since it was new. My [XXX] driver was operating the vehicle on Interstate 75 in Middle Georgia when the vehicle started running very rough, slowed down dramatically and the check engine light started blinking.
... She was blessed that a large truck didn’t run her over as she tried to move to the side of the roadway. We called a tow truck to take it to the nearest Hyundai dealership- ALM Hyundai of Warner Robins, GA. They inspected the vehicle and stated that the engine had messed up and they wouldn’t replace it since the vehicle had 130k miles and outside their window for 120k mile replacement. We purchased the vehicle from the original owner in 2022. We verified that it had timely and proper maintenance on it. We were also aware of a potential engine issue but verified with a Hyundai service advisor at Five Star Hyundai in Macon, Ga that the vehicle would be eligible for engine replacement if it messed up due to a manufacturing defect as long as proper maintenance was completed. We noticed that the vehicle was significantly burning oil at around 110k miles and regularly had to put oil in it to make sure it would not run dry. We did have the safety recall performed on it for the engine knock issue that Hyundai mandated. These vehicles are a major safety hazard on the roadway and these effected engines should be replaced by the manufacturer.
