Vehicle was first sohwn to have low coolant and improper temps in the engine compartment, found to have multiple issues by independent car care facility regarding the coolant system and engine temperature. The car still behaved irregularly though assured that dealership performed full inspection. Now, third set of problems have arisen with the vehicle, with significantly low coolant after only 5 months post-repair and multiple spraying stains from oxidized coolant inside engine compartment. Vehicle still fluctuates in rpms at irregular times and has issues changing gears. Family members and children occupy this vehicle at regular times during the week, and having coolant issues, rpm spiking, idle lurching, and malfunctioning engine systems can lead to catastrophic failure of the entire vehicle while in transit, putting family life at serious risk of harm, injury, or death.Read more

I am the original owner of a 2016 Dodge Charger SXT AWD (VIN: [XXX] ). On February 3, 2026, while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure. I heard a loud metallic grinding noise from underneath, followed by an immediate loss of power and "Service Transmission" and "SERV AWD" warnings on the dashboard. ... be shut off through normal means after the incident. Recall Context: This vehicle has previously had Safety Recalls T03 (Driveshaft Bolts) and U60 (Front Driveshaft) performed in 2017/2018. However, the current failure is identical to the safety defects described in those recalls. This indicates a Recall Remedy Failure, posing a severe safety risk to the driver and others on the road. Current Dispute: The vehicle was towed to Preston CDJR of Dover, but the dealer claims they cannot diagnose the issue or read fault codes. They are attempting to charge $200/hour for unsuccessful diagnosis attempts. I have opened a case with Dodge Corporate (Case #XXX), but the Case Manager has temporarily closed the case due to the dealer's inability to provide a diagnosis, and neither party has responded to my inquiries for 2 business days. Requested Action: I am filing this complaint to request a formal investigation into this recurring safety defect and to compel the manufacturer to honor the safety recall by performing a physical inspection and necessary repairs at no cost to the consumer. The braking action felt like a severe brake pulsing, then a split second release and then another spilt second brake pulsing and then everything cleared and the car continued to drive normally. The braking was so severe, my wife and I lurched forward towards the windshield, held back by our seat belts. The braking occurred suddenly with nothing near the vehicle. The emergency braking came in the first pulse, then followed by a extremely brief release(split second) then another quick emergency braking action(split second), then multiple lights and warnings quickly appeared on the dash board ending with a split second red symbol (so brief i could not determine any of the warnings or lights). Then the car drove normally after that. If any vehicle had been behind us, a rear accident collision could have taken place. This happened on Saturday, February 14th at approximately 2:30pm on Forestville Road, in Wake Forest, NC. This was an extremely dangerous situation. As this is now a Sunday, the Nissan dealer will be contacted tomorrow and arrangements will be made to bring the vehicle in for an inspection ASAP. The vehicle was taken to D&J Auto (an independent service center) where a previous liftgate control panel was replaced for failure to open the tailgate. A search of the internet on 2018 Honda Odyessey liftgate problems revealed multiple instances of water leaks on the liftgate control panels due to body seam issues which caused liftgate failures. This information was relayed to the auto repair shop where the leak was discovered. The vehicle was taken to a body repair shop across the street where the seam was fixed, returned to the auto repair shop where a third tailgate control panel installed.Read more

Within that time frame of me purchasing the car, I took good care of the car getting and oil change as well. Providing all oils where needed replacing tires that were needed, keeping gas tank clean. Changing air filters, and just keeping up with the maintenance. The car had no accidents no losses perfectly good car other than the recalls that were pointed out. When I brought the car in they told me everything was fine and that they would take care of those for me. My car has been there for like three weeks now and now they're telling me that the car is showing that the car was driven 11 thousand miles before it had an oil change. I have no idea of who drove the car before I purchased it and that I can only provide them with documents of what I took care of within the time frame I drove it up until the day it just stopped on me while I was driving. I really need my car and they is holding my car doing nothing to it all this time just to tell me that it's up to the manufacturer and sending him my documents for them to decide wether they will approve the repairs or not.Read more

Happened at US 101 Southbound 0.1 MILES SOUTH of RENGSTORFF AVENUE. “Power Steering Malfunction” light came on, then suddenly after 1 second, the car’s steering went stiff and suddenly braked while at freeway speed flow of traffic. Car then sharply veered left into center divider due to automatic sudden braking with no control of the steering wheel

... Recall Query RQ26001. My 2024 GMC Yukon XL Denali experienced progressive internal engine failure beginning at approximately 61, 975 miles. First attempt: The vehicle required camshaft and lifter replacement due to internal mechanical damage. Immediately after 4.5 week repair, the vehicle suffered sudden loss of motive power at highway speed. The engine shut down without warning at 75 mph with children in the car. (Car was in owners possession for no more than 15 hours, and was driven 25 miles on the highway when it switched to neutral and shut down). Second attempt: The vehicle was towed back to the dealership. Additional electrical repairs were then attempted. (Fuse box) It shut down again during dealer testing. Third attempt: Subsequent internal inspection revealed cylinders 5 and 6 seized, requiring full engine replacement. This represents: • Repeated loss of motive power • Escalation from top-end failure to catastrophic lower-end seizure • Failure occurring immediately after dealer-performed repair(s) • A 2024 model-year vehicle with relatively low mileage Given NHTSA’s ongoing investigations into post-remedy failures (RQ26001) and out-of-scope bearing failures (EA25007), I request that this incident be evaluated as part of the broader defect pattern analysis.Read more
