The contact owns a 2016 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel indicated that the engine was overheating. While driving at 35 MPH, the temperature gauge indicated that the engine was overheating. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, where the vehicle experienced complete engine failure. The vehicle was towed to a certified mecha

The mechanic informed the contact that it was a known failure with the vehicle and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The engine block failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V011000 (Equipment); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed through an online complaint of the failure; however, the contact was not able to speak with a representative. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.Read more

Toyota said fix would be by Dec 2025. No fix yet, they have not given any other communication and in the recall letter said not to use the second row. I am reporting Hyundai Motor America’s failure to remedy two active safety recalls on my 2025 Hyundai Palisade (VIN: [XXX] ) within a reasonable timeframe, despite multiple attempts to have the vehicle repaired. My vehicle has two open safety recalls involving critical occupant protection systems, including seat belt buckle assemblies that may fail to latch properly and a third-row occupant safe
... ty defect that increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash or rollover. On October 23, 2025, I brought my vehicle to the Hyundai dealership specifically to have the recall defects repaired. At the time of drop-off, I clearly informed the dealership that the purpose of the visit was for recall repairs. However, the dealership labeled the visit as a “maintenance appointment” instead of properly documenting it as a recall repair visit. The recall defects were not repaired. I returned to the Hyundai dealership again on February 18, 2026, after being promised that the recall repairs would be completed. Once again, Hyundai failed to repair the safety defects, and the recalls remain unresolved. It is now February 20, 2026, more than four months since I first presented the vehicle for recall repair, and Hyundai has failed to remedy these critical safety defects or provide a clear timeline for repair. These defects involve essential safety systems, including seat belts and third-row occupant protection. I have four children who regularly occupy the rear seating areas, and I am deeply concerned about their safety. Hyundai’s failure to repair these safety recalls has placed my family at risk. Because Hyundai has failed to repair the vehicle within a reasonable timeframe, I am requesting NHTSA investigation and assistance. I am also requesting that Hyundai provide trade assistance, replacement, or buyback so that I can obtain a safe vehicle for my family, at no cost to me, due to Hyundai’s inability to remedy these safety defects. The rear hatchback window, and it will be available until Monday when we have an appointment to replace the shattered rear hatchback window. They wouldn’t even come out and look at the shattered window even though it is a 2024 and still under warranty. They totally blew us off and would have nothing to do with us. We have reported it to USAA and Glass Doctor will hopefully be bringing us a new window on Monday for $750. It’s hard to find the window because this Z is brand new to the fleet. The component involved is the engine (2.4L Theta II gasoline engine) in my 2018 Hyundai Sonata. The malfunction involves excessive internal engine oil consumption between oil changes. The vehicle consumes oil at an abnormal rate, requiring frequent top-offs to prevent low oil levels. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a safety risk because excessive oil c
... onsumption can lead to critically low oil levels, engine seizure, sudden engine stall, or loss of propulsion while driving. A sudden engine stall or loss of power while operating at highway speeds could increase the risk of a crash. The problem has been inspected and documented by an authorized Hyundai dealership. During service, the dealership recorded that the customer reported oil burning between oil changes and noted evidence of engine oil consumption. No permanent repair has been performed. The issue remains unresolved. Hyundai Motor America has not physically inspected the vehicle directly but has reviewed the case through customer care. The manufacturer has required additional diagnostic testing at the owner’s expense as a condition of further evaluation and declined to authorize testing at no cost or provide assurance of reimbursement. No crash, fire, or injury has occurred to date. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps illuminated at the time the oil consumption was first observed. The condition was first noticed when oil levels were found to be significantly low between scheduled oil changes. The issue has been ongoing and progressive. Given the known history of engine-related issues involving Hyundai Theta II engines, I am submitting this complaint due to concerns that continued oil consumption may result in engine failure, sudden stall, or loss of propulsion while driving, creating a potential safety hazard. The vehicle remains in service but the condition has not been corrected.Read more

1. The engine is the system that is malfunctioning. There was a recall on my vehicle. I was told to bring the vehicle in for the metal found in oil. Infiniti denied to replace my engine which was stated during the recall that the engine would be replaced. My vehicle was returned to me without receiving an engine per the recall. 2. My safety is at risk because the engine can fail which can cause m
... e to lose controls of the vehicle and not be able to prevent an accident. That also places others at risk. My engine could also blow up at any given time. 3.The problem has been confirmed by the Infiniti dealership (service department) during both inspections. 4.The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer. Infiniti had denied to expect responsibility per the recall and denied to replace my engine per their recall. 5.There had not been any warnings, messages or symptoms of the problem prior to getting notification of the recall or getting my vehicle inspected per the recall. This is the second complaint that I am filing against Infiniti per the recall that was called on my vehicle. My vehicle has not been serviced correctly and my engine has not been replaced.Read more

On Saturday, February 7th, at approximately 1:00 PM, I was involved in a high-impact rear-end collision while driving cautiously with Adaptive Cruise Control and driver assistance systems activated, maintaining the distance set by the vehicle itself. When the vehicles ahead of me suddenly collided, my Nissan Armada did not brake properly. I am not stating that the braking response was insufficien
... t — I am stating that the braking system failed to function correctly. Despite fully depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate in a normal or expected manner. Most importantly, there were no visible skid marks or braking marks on the pavement after the accident, which strongly indicates that the braking system did not engage as it should have. Any properly functioning vehicle under full brake application would normally leave visible braking evidence on the roadway. This did not occur. The impact was severe and resulted in extensive frontal damage, yet no airbags deployed, which further intensifies the concern regarding multiple safety system failures. This incident placed my life, the lives of my family members traveling with me, and the lives of others on the road at extreme risk. While there were no fatalities, there were minor injuries and significant emotional trauma, particularly for my [XXX] daughter, who is now fearful of riding in a vehicle.
