Was driving when the car seemed to lose power and would not accelerate and started shaking. Check engine light came on and got it read, the code indicated a misfire and other errors. There was no one local to fix it as we were out of town. So we replaced the plugs that were indicated and noticed how badly damaged they were. Vehicle started to drive better before stalling out again and replacing th
... e rest of the plugs. Was able to get it home and seemed to be driving normally but then we noticed it has an oil leak now. We have to keep a religious check on the oil because of the amount leaking and the fact the car isn't giving us a low oil warning. We took it to the dealership and they said we needed a new engine and it was just outside the power train warranty. All of this occurred our 78,000-80,000 mile mark. The dealer would not even change the oil before of how bad the leak was. This car was for our teenage daughter and its not safe for anyone to drive. I believe the dealership knew this car had issues, we bought it pre-owned and have only had it 6 months.Read more

Component/System: Braking System (Caliper Bolt) and Suspension (Control Arm/Linkage Bolt). Description of Incident: While traveling on a tollway at 70 mph, I heard a faint noise followed by a severe metallic scratching sound coming from the front driver-side wheel. Upon inspection at a tire service center, it was discovered that a brake caliper bolt had fallen out, causing the caliper to displace
... and score the inner rim of the wheel. The vehicle was towed to a Tesla Service Center, where the caliper and wheel were replaced under warranty. Tesla could not identify a root cause but stated they performed a quality check on all remaining wheels. Subsequently, a second failure occurred on the front passenger-side wheel. A different bolt—this time related to the suspension—loosened or fell out. The vehicle produced a severe grinding noise and felt unstable, as if the wheel was about to dislodge. Safety Risk: Both incidents posed an immediate risk of catastrophic mechanical failure at high speeds. A detached brake caliper can lead to total loss of braking or wheel lock-up, while a suspension bolt failure can cause a complete loss of steering control. Either scenario could have resulted in a high-speed collision, endangering my life and the lives of my two children. Confirmation/Inspection: • Confirmed by Dealer: Yes, Tesla Service Center performed repairs on both occasions. • Available for Inspection: The vehicle has been repaired, but service records and photos of the damage/missing bolts are available. • Other Inspections: Initial driver-side failure was visually confirmed by Discount Tire. Warning Signs: There were no dashboard warning lamps or messages. The only symptoms were a brief "pop" or "click" followed immediately by loud metal-on-metal grinding and vibration.Read more

While driving, the rear arm connected to the rear driver-side wheel broke off. According to my Nissan dealership diagnosis, this was due to excessive rust/rot of the whole subframe. The 2013 Nissan Murano rear arm cannot re attach the wheel to the sub frame due to so much rust/rot on the sub frame. The whole subframe would need replacement. When doing an estimate on fixing, Nissan called and s
... topped the estimate when replacement of the subframe, fixing of the arm, and additional rust/replacement exceeded the value of the car. My son and I were driving on the road when the arm broke off the rear wheel, the wheel went sideways and we skidded to a stop, so our safety was at risk. There were no warning lights or signs of this happening. While driving on the road, my car felt unstable then seconds later the arm broke off. The car was at Nissan 4 months prior to have work done, I had them do a multipoint inspection when there was a problem/engine light with the vehicle and it would not go more than 15mph. Nissan fixed loose RF hub, plus they replaced a right and left front sway bar. This is right on the sub frame, there was no warning given to me that the sub frame was rusted or could give out.Read more

My car has been making high pitched whining sound from front end for the last 20,000 miles. I am currently at 101,500 mi and have been advised it is the transmission. I have done some research on the 2018 Toyota CHR's and found that Canada has extended the warranty of the CVT transmission to 193,000 miles [XXX] ). Now I am left with a car that isn't even paid off yet and relatively low on miles especially considering the issue started at about 90,000 miles. I want to bring this to your attention in hopes that if other countries recognize this as an issue and have made it right maybe something can be done here to rectify the situation. I also located class a class action lawsuit that has begun for Toyota on this issue [XXX] ). I am a single mother and can't afford to replace a transmission. Please help! While backing at low speed in a residential driveway, the vehicle struck a parked car causing significant damage. No ADAS safety systems activated: reverse automatic braking did not engage, no parking sensor warnings sounded, no audible or visual alerts occurred. The vehicle made no attempt to slow or stop despite approaching a large stationary obstacle. The vehicle has two open unrepaired recalls
... at the time of incident: Recall 25V488 (Electronic Brake Booster): EBB module may shut off unexpectedly during ADAS use. The EBB is integral to the electronic braking system ADAS relies on to autonomously apply brakes. If faulted, reverse automatic braking cannot engage regardless of sensor detection. Software fix was available but never applied. Ford documented 37 warranty claims and one crash before issuing this recall. Recall 25V863 (Integrated Park Module): May fail to lock into park. Remedy not yet available. The vehicle provided zero warning of degraded safety capability. No dashboard indicators or alerts that ADAS was unavailable. Multiple overlapping systems failed simultaneously suggesting cascading failure from the EBB fault or multiple independent defects. Ford SSMs 52161, 49767, and 50360 document known Lightning issues with inoperative park aid and reverse brake assist unavailability. The recall notice emphasizes brake pedal feel but does not clearly communicate that the defect can disable automatic emergency braking. Consumers may delay repair not realizing ADAS is compromised. The upper radiator hose on some huge percentage of these trucks fail (mine has failed at just over 37K miles). You can check the Colorado Chevy and GMC Canyon forums, youtube, Facebook, etc., et al, and find plenty of instances where this has failed. As this is the cooling system, it can cause the engine to overheat and potentially ruin the engine. The flaw seems to be an engineering issue with th
... e rubber seal they use (instead of a high quality o-ring) to seal the upper hose to the radiator. Additionally, since this can cause engine failure it should be addressed immediately. Instead, my local Chevy dealer, since its not a recall item, said they could schedule a time next week for me to LEAVE the truck and that I am responsible for the repair. This is extremely unfair to the consumer who depends on these vehicles. This should absolutely be a recall item. You can find 1000's of examples online and if you can pull GM repair data, I'm sure you'll find 1000's more.Read more

Prior to this incident, I experienced multiple separate occasions where braking felt abnormal and insufficient in conditions requiring higher traction including rain and snow. ... e progressively worsened and are consistent with widespread complaints I have found from other 2019 Suburban owners. This appears to be a known issue affecting multiple vehicles. 2. Rear Liftgate / Electrical Malfunction The rear trunk/liftgate has closed on its own without warning multiple times. I have personally been struck in the head several times as a result. This presents a serious injury risk, especially for families loading children or cargo. There is clearly an electrical or sensor malfunction causing this behavior. 3. Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) System Activating Randomly The most alarming issue is that the automatic emergency braking system has activated on its own multiple times while driving on the turnpike with no obstruction present. This has nearly caused accidents on several occasions. Unexpected braking at highway speeds creates an extremely dangerous situation for both my family and surrounding drivers. These issues are not minor inconveniences — they are serious safety hazards. Sudden braking, unintended liftgate closure, and transmission failure all create significant risk of injury or collision. Given the number of similar complaints publicly reported by other owners, I am requesting that NHTSA formally investigate these defects and determine whether a recall should be issued for affected 2019 GMC Suburban vehicles. I am extremely concerned for the safety of my family and others on the road. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise if additional information is needed. I am the original owner of a 2015 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ) with approximately 63,000 miles. After driving for about 20–30 minutes, the engine will suddenly rev up but the vehicle will not accelerate or will barely move when I press the gas pedal. This has happened multiple times when trying to merge, climb hills, or cross intersections. The vehicle loses drive power even though the engine is r
... unning and revving. When this happens, I have to move over and wait until the vehicle cools down before it will drive normally again. My Nissan dealer has diagnosed the issue as a failing CVT transmission and quoted about $7,700 to replace it. This behavior creates a serious safety hazard because the car can lose power in traffic, leaving me unable to accelerate to highway speed, climb grades, or clear intersections. I am concerned this may be related to known Nissan CVT problems and believe it should be investigated as a safety‑related defect.
