On February 27th, 2026, around 2:00 PM, while driving my 2024 Infinity QX60 on Hwy. 459 in Birmingham, AL, at approximately 70 mph in heavy traffic, the engine suddenly shut down completely and shifted into neutral without any prior warning lights, noises, or symptoms. I had great difficulty figuring out what had happened, and struggled to avoid being hit while crossing over three lanes to coast
... to the shoulder. I attempted to put the car back into drive without success and was absolutely terrified as I barely missed being hit by an 18-wheeler traveling behind me at a high rate of speed. The car was shuddering, but I managed to drive a short distance to the Birmingham Nissan dealer. After an inspection, they stated it was due to an improperly installed air filter that interfered with the MAF, and I was told I had to pay $1,000 for repairs. The Forward Collision warning sensor went out after the MAF was repaired, but the car was released to us. We had to take it right back to the dealer and leave it again.Read more

The vehicle exhibited charging failures on multiple occasions over the course of several days after being connected to a Level 2 home charging unit overnight. On repeated mornings, the high-voltage battery was found to have not charged. The vehicle also exhibited intermittent slow charging behavior during this same period. Approximately six months prior to the charging failures, the 12-volt auxili
... ary battery was found to be completely discharged. During this same period, the vehicle was started on one occasion to find that every warning and alarm indicator on the dashboard had triggered simultaneously. The vehicle was completely inoperable at that time. After several minutes, all warning indicators cleared and normal operation resumed without any intervention. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Hyundai dealership on March 6, 2026, where the technician diagnosed the root cause as a failed Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). The ICCU is responsible for managing both high-voltage battery charging and maintaining the 12-volt auxiliary battery; a failure of this component can result in loss of charging capability, auxiliary battery drain, and potentially a complete and sudden loss of vehicle operability. As of the date of this report, the vehicle is awaiting parts with an estimated repair time of approximately one week. The repair is expected to be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This failure occurred with fewer than 10,000 miles on a 2025 model year vehicle. Based on publicly available owner reports and online forums, ICCU failures appear to be a recurring issue across multiple Hyundai IONIQ model variants.Read more

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The primary system affected appears to be the CVT transmission. Additionally, the engine computer (ECU) and electrical system (including battery, driver-side window, and turn signals) have shown repeated failures. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the
... safety of others put at risk? During sudden loss of acceleration, the vehicle would not respond to the gas pedal for 10–20 seconds. This created dangerous situations when merging onto highways, crossing intersections, or making turns, as the car could not accelerate to avoid other vehicles or hazards. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Independent mechanics confirmed repeated ECU and MAF sensor failures. In February 2025, after the vehicle stalled at an intersection, multiple repairs were attempted (alternator, key reset, starter replacement), but the drivability issues persisted, confirming the problem. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by independent mechanics multiple times. Insurance roadside service documented over ten incidents where the vehicle would not start or stalled, including two towing events. The manufacturer has not inspected this specific vehicle. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. The check engine light for the mass air flow sensor would illuminate before and during drivability issues. These warnings first appeared in 2017, the first year of ownership. Other symptoms include engine chugging, electrical irregularities (window failure, rapid turn signal flashing), and sudden loss of acceleration.Read more

I took the vehicle to the dealership service center and they said the turbo function of my engine was failing. and it was still covered under warranty so they fixed that. One day after the picking it up all the lights came back on. I took it back and they stated that the fuel injectors are failing thus causing
... engine misfires resulting in the engine light coming back on and the car randomly stalling or slowing. They indicated that the fuel injectors are NOT covered and repairs are around 2,400.00, I believe this should be covered because there was a previous recall on the fuel on the fuel pump (which is connected to the injectors). There is a known issue with the Ram infotainment Uconnect systems. The 2022 Ram 1500 frequently experiences infotainment issues involving its Uconnect 5 system, characterized by loud buzzing or popping noises, "screen bouncing" (glitchy movement or flickering), and spontaneous reboots. These symptoms often result from software bugs, a full memory cache, or, in some cases, hardware defects requirin
... g a complete unit replacement. Some issues tied to this are Loss of Rearview Visibility, The radio software can prevent the backup camera image from displaying on the center screen when you shift into reverse. Driver Distraction from "Ghost Touching" and Loud Noise, Impairment of Integrated Safety Controls: In the 2022 Ram, the infotainment screen is often the only way to access or adjust certain safety-related features. Climate & Defrosting: If the screen is frozen or inoperable, drivers may be unable to activate the windshield defroster or adjust climate controls, which can lead to limited visibility in cold or humid conditions. There has been a recall notice for a similar issue with the camera systems not functioning properly and displaying on the infotainment screen however this is a completely separate issue that thousands are experiencing. The result is usually a replacement of the entire system costing upwards of 3000 dollars post warranty. These issues usually show up after the factory warranty. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The windshield washer system on my 2026 Honda CR V EX L is malfunctioning. The washer fluid only sprays on approximately half of the windshield instead of covering the full glass area. This appears to be related to the washer nozzles or fluid distribution system. The vehicle is available for inspecti
... on upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Because the washer system does not spray the full windshield, it prevents proper cleaning of the driver’s field of view while driving. This creates a visibility hazard when dirt, road grime, or debris accumulates on the windshield. If driving at highway speeds or in poor weather conditions, the inability to clear the entire windshield could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The issue occurs consistently whenever the windshield washer system is used. It can be reproduced repeatedly. At this time the vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer, but the malfunction is clearly observable. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or other representatives. However, I have observed other owners of the same model reporting the same issue online, suggesting this may not be an isolated case. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning lights or dashboard messages prior to the issue. The malfunction was first noticed when attempting to use the windshield washer system during normal driving.Read more

Blown turbo with propeller broken off lodged into the pre-catalytic converter, which caused damage to the catalytic converter/exhaust requiring a new turbo and a complete new catalytic converter and exhaust system. They also found major oil leaking from the upper timing cover gaskets, which I later found documented on the accounting service record as not repaired at that time few months from my pu

Oil starvation from known oil leaks, damaged gaskets, and failing parts caused oil starvation of the turbo, constant overheating with coolant and oil problems since purchasing the car and which ultimately froze the turbo and snapped the propeller. I’m still struggling without an operating vehicle for over a year, and trying to afford these expensive repairs, which should’ve been covered under the 15 year PZEV warranty and/or recalls of these known parts failures. It was at the dealership in plenty of time for the SMOG certification, which was the sole reason for the appointment and it being at AudiSD, which they refused to do. These are extremely expensive repairs, these are known issues with several class action lawsuits and recalls behind them, yet they simply refuse to take ownership, deny any support, and making excuses for their lack of responsibility. I asked several times for them to do the right thing, take the car back and refund my money or give me an equivalent car to what I was promised when I purchased it, they refused and no management has been involved. I deserve to be compensated for my time over the last several years dealing with these repeated issues, compensation for all the parts I have been forced to buy, refunded the amounts I’ve paid for technicians to truly diagnose the problem and for the repairs I’ve yet to be able to afford, as well as the towing and other charges I have incurred as a result of purchasing this vehicle from AudiSDRead more
