I leased a 2023 Ioniq 6 electric car on September 2023. Since leasing the vehicle, the vehicle has been towed four times for the same problem, the parking brake malfunctions rendering the vehicle unusable. I have multiple photos and videos documenting this. This has happened either after parking the vehicle and attempting to turn it off, or after turning on the car after being parked. The first t
... hree times this happened the vehicle remained in neutral and would not change into any other gear. The car would not turn off or lock. The last time it happened again the car stayed in neutral and would not change gears, but I was still able to turn it off and lock it. Below is a summary of all the times the car was towed and how many days it was in the dealer. 1.December 12, 2025 (towed to dealership #1) to December 19, 2025: 8 days, no action taken, unable to find the cause of the problem 2.December 20, 2025 (towed to dealership #1) to December 29, 2025: 10 days, no action taken, unable to find the cause of the problem. Note the car failed again the day after it was returned to me on December 19. 3.January 2, 2026 (towed to dealership #2) to January 13, 2026: 12 days. Changed the 12V battery and replaced the VCU, vehicle control unit as an educated guess based on conversations with the Hyundai engineering team as the initial diagnostic scan failed to pinpoint the problem. 4.March 12, 2026 (towed to dealership #2). As of tMarch 15, 2026 the car is in the dealership for repairs for the same problem. Since this problem is likely related to the electric car’s electronics, it has been both challenging to diagnose, and extremely unpredictable and dangerous when it happens without any previous actionable warnings. The fact that the parking brake malfunctions and cannot engage, and that in addition the car gets stuck in neutral, is an extremely serious safety concern that could result in an accident, injury or death.Read more

I am reporting a recurring safety issue with the power windows on my 2023 Toyota Tundra. Specifically: 1.The driver-side window and front passenger-side window have stopped moving partway during operation. The window halts halfway, the window becomes stuck and cannot be closed even when attempting to push the window up manually with my hands. 2.The problem has occurred with two separate windows o
... n the same truck. 3.This behavior has occurred under normal operating conditions and appears similar to reports from other 2023 Tundra owners, suggesting a possible design or manufacturing defect. 4.The issue could pose a safety risk, as the window may trap fingers, limbs, or objects unexpectedly, or fail to close during adverse weather or security situations. Actions Taken: •I have taken the vehicle to a Toyota dealer for inspection and attempted repairs. •The dealer has documented the issue in service records, but the problem has occurred in a different window. Additional Notes: •I am aware of multiple owners experiencing the same issue with 2023 Tundras. •I am submitting this complaint to request that NHTSA investigate the potential defect and assess whether a formal recall or safety advisory is warranted.Read more

I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my 2020 Hyundai Palisade due to severe and ongoing engine oil consumption that presents a safety risk, combined with an active federal airbag safety recall. For approximately one year, my vehicle has been consuming excessive engine oil. Approximately 1,500–2,000 miles after an oil change, the vehicle becomes dangerously low on oil. On January 19, 2
... 026, at 171,650 miles, the dealership initiated Hyundai’s official oil consumption test. At intake, the engine oil level was so low that nothing was visible on the dipstick. The dealership confirmed no external oil leaks were present and began the manufacturer’s oil consumption protocol. After driving approximately 1,000 miles, I returned on February 2, 2026, at 172,657 miles. The inspection showed the engine was 2.6 quarts low. The dealership stated combustion chamber cleaning was needed; however, Hyundai denied the repair based solely on mileage and the vehicle being out of warranty. This level of oil consumption presents a serious safety concern. Driving with critically low oil can cause sudden engine failure, stalling, or loss of power while traveling at highway speeds. This could create a crash hazard without warning. Additionally, my vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall #26V034000 (Recall #292 – Ejection Mitigation), involving potential failure of the side curtain airbags for third-row passengers to deploy properly in certain crash scenarios. The remedy is not yet available. The combination of excessive oil consumption and an unresolved federal safety recall raises significant concerns regarding the overall safety and reliability of this vehicle. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the engine oil consumption issue in the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, as excessive oil burning may indicate a broader manufacturing defect affecting engine integrity and driver safety. I own a Ram 1500 Big Horn that has repeatedly shut off while driving and entered limp mode, causing sudden loss of power and engine shaking. This has occurred both while driving and while stopped at intersections, creating a serious safety hazard in traffic. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership more than nine times for the same issue, but they initially claimed they could not diagnose the
... problem because no codes were present. The vehicle recently broke down again and the dealership retrieved diagnostic codes P2172, C121C00, B151A100, and U100300, indicating airflow and CAN bus communication issues. Ram ordered an alternator to fix the truck, but the first part received was defective and had to be reordered, further delaying repairs. Despite being a loyal customer since 2019, I have repeatedly received substandard service and temporary fixes from Ram, and the truck remains unsafe and unreliable. The problem is unresolved, and I am concerned this defect could cause the vehicle to stall in traffic and potentially lead to an accident.Read more

On Friday, March 13, 2026, while traveling at approximately 60 mph on the highway, my 2021 Chevrolet Suburban equipped with an L87 6.2L V8 engine experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power. The failure sequence began with a dashboard warning prompting me to "press the start button again," followed immediately by the vehicle shifting into neutral without any driver input. Despite repeat
... edly pressing the accelerator, the vehicle continued to decelerate and could not re-engage drive. A second dashboard warning displaying "engine recall" then appeared mid-incident. Subsequently, the rear wheels locked, forcing the vehicle to coast to a complete stop on the hard shoulder without any brake input required from the driver. Upon coming to a full stop, the start button continued flashing with repeated prompts to press it, the vehicle lock emblem illuminated on the dashboard, and the vehicle became fully and mechanically immobile, unable to shift out of neutral or transition into any other gear. The engine could not power the vehicle at all. My safety and the safety of other motorists were directly and seriously endangered, as the failure occurred without warning in the middle lane of an active highway at highway speed, leaving the vehicle unable to maneuver or accelerate out of harm's way. A responding police officer confirmed the road hazard on scene and remained present to protect the vehicle and occupants while we awaited assistance. The AAA tow truck operator independently concurred upon arrival. The vehicle was transported to Classic Chevrolet, Grapevine, TX, the same day and is currently awaiting full technical inspection by the dealership's service team; an official mechanical diagnosis remains pending. The dealership service advisor has verbally confirmed awareness of an active engine and powertrain/transmission recall affecting this vehicle. I purchased my vehicle from a certified used car dealership in Connecticut in 2020 with a little over 1800 miles. Since purchasing the vehicle, it has been very reluctant to down shift and had slight transmission whine. I was notified of a recall for I believe the TCM a few months after purchasing it, which i had remedied by the dealership. Over the years, my car has been maintained completely to
... Toyotas manufacturer standard. Around 50,000 miles i started experiencing shuddering during shifts and slipping during shifts and a louder whine Around 89,000 miles my transmission symptoms worsened. Sporadic shifting, obvious whine, grinding and clunking during shifts and shifting between gears, and clicking from a stop. At 97k i serviced the transmission fluid which seemed to help a little bit but did not get rid of the symptoms fully. The fluid was dark brown, which was serviced 3,000 miles before Toyotas recommended interval. I then replaced the driver side cv axle shaft which also did not remedy any symptoms and i was notified by my shop that it was premature transmission failure. Now at 100,998 miles, my transmission grinds and clunks during all lower gear shifts, will shift through gears while maintaining steady speed, and whines audibly from the exterior and interior. My car is still running and driving for now, but after research this is a very common issue with the UA80E transmission and Toyota has knowingly sold these cars with these production errors putting people at risk of injury and financial nightmares.Read more

My brand new truck started shaking while accelerating past 65mph. The shaking was not dampened by the suspension at all. (I.e. it kept the same or increased strength). The shaking could cause damage, excessive loosening or wear of critical components and lead to a serious accident at these speeds. It is similar to the "death wobble", but not as violent. It occurred multiple times. The shaking

They noted a wheel was warped and moved it from the front to the back. This did not solve the problem. While driving home from work using SuperCruise, I almost died! Luckily I was paying attention that's why I'm here to give this testimony. Now I was using Google maps which is integrated into the infotain

While coming up on an intersection/exit/merger Google maps showed red traffic at that merger (which is probably the reason why I'm still alive); however my car didn't slow down at all in anticipation. So approaching the congestion it was completely stopped cars due to heavy traffic. Remind you up until this section there was practically no traffic. All of a sudden, traffic! My car literally kept going at 70mph not recognizing the stopped cars ahead of me! Luckily for me 1:) Google maps showed me this traffic jam miles before and 2:) I have come to expect the Super Unreliability of SuperCruise so I wanted to see if it will recognize it, or when. It didn't! It kept going FULL SPEED AHEAD into the completely stopped cars. Finally at the last second I stomped on my breaks and guess what happened! My red SuperCruise disengaged lights went off, the seats were vibrating and the most comical of them all, my collision alert lights went off. So the car was telling me I was about to collide with another vehicle after setting me up for said collision! I couldn't believe it! I stopped just in time to avoid this collision thank God, but SuperCruise never disengaged until I hit the brakes and it almost killed me!Read more
