I made a left turn out of my work parking lot and felt a clunk. Shortly afterward, the car started shaking violently at about 10 mph. I relocated it to the Nissan dealer near my workplace and they discovered the rear lower link/control arm was fractured from rust deterioration. I was advised that they had previously had an extended warranty for that item. I told them i was never made aware of th
... at warranty and reached out to Nissan. They told me that because I “failed” to keep track of my warranty i was out of the window on that repair being covered. I asked how i was to know about the issue if not for the part snapping? He insisted that they sent notices (to the address i lived at when i purchased the car in 2015). He then advised that since work was already started on the car there was likely nothing they could do to offer a goodwill adjustment since I’d agreed to the repair. He advised me that i should have called before bringing the car in (to check the status on a warranty i had no idea existed). I take the tollway home. 5 minutes later and i could have died.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety issue involving the airbag system in my vehicle. The airbag warning light has illuminated on the dashboard, and I also received a notification indicating that the airbag system may not function properly in the event of a crash. This creates a significant safety risk, as the airbags may fail to deploy when needed. I contacted an authorized
... Nissan dealership regarding this issue. The dealership informed me that they have received similar complaints from multiple vehicles of the same generation as mine. However, they advised me to wait for a potential recall rather than proceed with immediate diagnostic and repair, stating that repairs at this time would be very expensive despite the vehicle being only three years old. Given the critical safety function of airbags, this situation is extremely concerning. A potential failure of the airbag system could result in serious injury or death in the event of an accident. I am requesting that this issue be investigated promptly to determine whether a defect exists that warrants a safety recall. It appears this may be a broader issue affecting multiple vehicles, not an isolated incidentRead more

I PURCHASED MY 2024 NISSAN ROGUE 12 DAYS AGO AT BOB BELL IN BALTIMORE MD. DAY 12 I WAS LEAVING WORK LIKE USUAL. WHEN I CLOSED MY DRIVER DOOR THE REAR HATCH GLASS EXPLODED INTO A MILLION PIECES. AT LEAST IN MY SITUATION I WAS PARKED WHEN IT EXPLODED BUT HAD I BEEN DRIVING THAT GLASS FLYING COULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH WORSE SITUATION. I JUST WANT NISSAN TO OWN UP TO THIS AND COVER THE REPAIR. Subject: URGENT SAFETY COMPLAINT - 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: XXX) - Recall Remedy Failure I am filing a formal complaint regarding a life-threatening defect in my 2022 Nissan Rogue. This vehicle has experienced three (3) total losses of motive power at highway speeds, nearly causing multiple accidents. I am now afraid to drive this vehicle as it remains a substantial safety hazard. Recall & Repair F
... ailure: The vehicle is subject to Recalls R25E2 and R25E3 for engine bearing and throttle body failure. The dealership performed an ECM software update which effectively removed the "open recall" status from my VIN history. However, the dealer refused to perform the mandatory physical oil pan inspection for metal debris required by the recall protocol. The car still exhibits severe bucking, hesitation, and gurgling noises. By only performing a software "fix," the manufacturer has cleared the safety alert while leaving a catastrophic mechanical defect unaddressed. This is a complete remedy failure. 30-Day Out-of-Service & Misdiagnosis: In January 2025, the dealership retained my vehicle for over 30 days. During this stay, the service department initially informed me via text that the engine required a full replacement. The following day, they abruptly changed the diagnosis to spark plugs. I have text records of this contradiction. This 30-day stay meets the statutory presumption of a "Lemon" under Florida Statute 681.104. Unresolved Issues: Despite replacing the throttle body, EGR valve, water pump, and various mounts, the engine still stumbles, especially from a stop. The dealer manager previously discussed a vehicle swap but attempted to force a new credit application, treating a safety-defect remedy as a new sale. I am seeking a Substitution of Collateral (Swap) on my existing loan terms for a reliable vehicle. Below, I put the date this all started, last service was a 3/9/26-power loss/throttle Current Mileage: 55,000 Dealer: Nissan of Cape Coral, Florida INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACTRead more

In October of 2025 my car stalled in slow traffic after a 100 mile car ride. After 20 minutes, it started again. The engine code was P0507. Two weeks later, without warning as I was accelerating on the highway the car stopped in the middle lane. This was incredibly dangerous. I had to wait 30 minutes in busy am traffic for a police escort. And the event was costly as I had to pay $200 to be towed
... off the highway. Once the car arrived at the service center, it started again. The mechanic convinced me to replace the purge solenoid as a starting place to address the problem. The car ran normally from November to March. In March 2026, after almost two hours in stop and go traffic, the car engine stalled out again. We pushed the car to the side of the road and waited 20 minutes. The engine started again. The coolant was below minimum and the computer code was P1217, engine overheat. My mechanic found a faulty cooling fan and replaced it on 3/17/26. This experience of the engine suddenly stopping while the car is moving with no warning or lights on the dash until the stallout has been extremely dangerous and costly. I believe Nissan knows of the cooling fan issue given online forums. Not recalling this faulty part has put me and my children in danger. In Summer 2024, the air conditioner of this car stopped working in traffic. It would blow hot air. The dealership could not replicate the issue and instead charged the air conditioner costing me a lot of money. The air conditioning problem has been intermittent since. I believe this is connected to the defective cooling fan and the Nissan dealership did not do their due diligence to investigate the issue.Read more

I am filing this complaint because the locking system on my 2019 Nissan Altima has been malfunctioning for a few years, and it has now become a serious safety issue. I first noticed that my back doors and my front driver-side doors would not lock or unlock when using the remote or the button inside the car. This is very concerning because it means my car is often unsecured when it should be locked
... , and there are never any warning lamps or messages to let me know the system failed. I have to manually lock and unlock the doors myself just to get them to work, which has happened multiple times while my kids were trying to exit the vehicle. The problem has recently gotten worse. Last week, I had an issue where the door would not open at all because the latch stayed engaged even though the door was "unlocked." I had to pull the manual lever multiple times before it would finally open. This constant locking issue is a major risk because it could prevent us from getting out of the car quickly in an emergency. The vehicle and these components are available for inspection, and I am taking the car to Nissan tomorrow to have the problem confirmed and inspected.Read more

Problem # 1- is 3 out of 4 door lock actuators all of a sudden stopped working at the exact same time, except the driver door. This is a huge safety issue and causes the door to remain locked. This causes someone getting locked inside the vehicle or locked outside. (Google) all the review's as this is a common thing people are reporting. Problem #2- My daughter said she almost passed out because
... he gas tank started to leak because the hose connector is plastic and integrated into the gas tank. The only way to fix this is replace the gas tank at $600+. (Google) this is a common problem that people are reporting. My vehicle only has 40k miles on it and its already a fire hazard because fuel is leaking from a plastic cheap fitting. This is the fitting that the fill hose connects to the gas tank. No warning signs until gas fumes filled the cab. This is a fire hazard and also can cause the driver to pass out because of the fumes in the vehicle. No inspections just phone calls to the service department. They want to charge me $175 to just tell me what is broken that I already know. So I called local dealership and they confirmed the symptoms are likely due to broken actuators, and plastic gas fittings.Read more

I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2026 Hyundai Palisade with fewer than 5,000 miles. Hyundai has now issued Recall 296 stating that the second and third row power seats may not respond properly when contacting an occupant or object. Prior to receiving the recall notice, I had already taken the vehicle to the dealership three separate times regarding problems with the rear seats a
... nd unexplained battery failures. Each time I was told nothing was wrong with the seats. The first incident occurred when my child was seated in the rear seat. I attempted to move the seat backward to create more space, but instead of opening properly the seat continued moving in a way that began closing toward my child and would not stop. I was able to quickly remove my child before the seat fully closed. The seat then continued moving on its own. The second incident involved the vehicle battery completely dying without warning. When AAA came to jump start the vehicle, I heard the rear seat motors operating mechanically even though no one was using the seats. The third incident occurred when the battery died again and AAA was called a second time. During the jump start I again heard mechanical movement from the rear seat motors. I had to pay to replace the battery even though the vehicle was nearly new. I informed the dealership multiple times that I believed the issue was related to the seat system, but they told me they could not find anything wrong. Given that Hyundai has now issued Recall 296 regarding malfunctioning power seats, I am extremely concerned that this defect presents a serious safety hazard, particularly to children in the rear seats. I believe the seat system may also be draining the battery due to unintended motor operation.Read more

I own a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. The car is equipped with a radar cruise control and automatic braking system that will brake the car if programming believes there is risk of an accident. The problem is this is all front-based monitory and no rear based monitoring. Recently I was traveling the speed limit on a 4-lane highway when a car stopped abruptly in the turn lane in which I was following.
... There was no need for my car to brake abruptly as I was not traveling so close behind the car in front of me to justify that. Rather, I was more concerned about a car behind me that was tailgating me. I wanted to brake gradually to give the car behind me time to stop. But the auto braking system in my car braked so suddenly against my will causing the car behind me to veer off the road onto the shoulder in order to avoid rear ending me. It also made me worry that the driver of the car behind me might believe I intentionally braked hard to make him back away from my car when this was not the case. The 2018 Camry XSE auto braking system is a hazard because it looks forward with the radar but did not consider the car tailgating me and it nearly caused me to be rear ended were it not for evasive action of the car behind me veering onto the shoulder. I can turn it off when I drive the car but it always comes back on when I start the car. I am undecided about liability as well if I must permit this defective system to run or whether I am protected legally by turning it off. It is such a hassle to constantly turn it off each time I start the car so I just let the car do it's thing most of the time thinking I might be better legally protected with it on than with it off.Read more

I am reporting a premature corrosion issue on my Nissan Rogue with approximately 25,000 miles. Rust has developed on the roof panel, which is highly unusual for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The vehicle was purchased in early December 2025. To my knowledge, this condition was not disclosed by the selling dealer, CarMax, along with other issues identified after purchase. To the best of my kn
... owledge, the vehicle has been properly maintained and not involved in any accidents, as none were reported or disclosed. The rust appears to be developing under or through the paint, suggesting a defect in factory paint or corrosion protection. I first brought the vehicle to Mossy Nissan on February 11, 2026, and was referred to their body shop, which completed a report on February 12, 2026. However, the dealership did not submit the claim to Nissan until March 4, 2026, causing a delay. After submission, I was contacted about a week later for mileage. Despite multiple follow-ups from me, there was no timely response. I was asked again to bring the vehicle for inspection, which I did promptly. After these delays, I was informed the claim was denied without a satisfactory explanation. Given the roof location and the vehicle’s condition, this raises concerns about a possible manufacturing defect and the claims process. Premature corrosion may affect long-term integrity and value. I request this be investigated as a defect in materials or workmanship and that Nissan provide an appropriate repair. I also request review of whether this condition should have been disclosed at the time of sale.Read more
