While driving the car, the power steering system will randomly stop working. While driving in a parking lot the power steering stops working , the car becomes hard to steer. Her safety was put at risk because the engine did not provide reliable power to drive after that acute event and she easily could have been rear-ended or involved in an accident. We were both very thankful that our children were not in the van at the time. The check engine light immediately came on as well when this happened and when she got to the dealer, the service department identified a P0303 stored code suggesting a cylinder 3 misfire on the lower block. There were metal fragments in the oil and they noticed internal noise/knocking. They informed us that we would need to have a new engine installed. I spoke to our dealership today 2/13/24 and they felt like it was highly probable that a manufacturing defect related to the Honda service bulletin 23-097 for Connecting Rod Bearing problems could be the manufacturing defect and culprit for why our engine stopped working. This bulletin covers build dates of 2018-2019 Honda Odyssey vans from 4/9/2018 through 8/28/2018. Our build date was prior to October 2017 is what our dealer has told me. I do not believe that our defective engine would be available for inspection as I believe the dealership discarded it after installing a salvaged engine, also from a 2018 Odyssey. I do not believe any other agency inspected our defective engine after it was removed. The dealership also was unaware of the 23-097 service bulletin, since they were informed of that later in the year during November 2023. The problem is intermittent. The lane keeping assistance seems to cause the steering to become "sticky" while freeway driving. It becomes difficult to turn the steering wheel small amounts, like its stuck, and applying extra force to steer causes over correction. I can't really pinpoint at what times it happens, but I notice it most when driving on freeways at freeway speed.

While driving, the throttle body valve malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to rapidly lose power and go into an engine "safe mode." The check engine light appeared on the dash. I was luckily able to pull over to the side of the road. Restarting the vehicle cleared the error, but the issue continued to recur until I was able to get home. There was a recall for the specific part that failed, but due to my model being a hybrid, it was not included even though it contained the exact faulty component. Speaking with Ford Customer Care confirmed this to be the case that my specific car was not included in the recall. I was able to order the replacement part myself and perform the repair. The error message that was thrown in the car's OBD system was: P2112 "Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed" The code was not saved in the module so it could only be read at the time the issue was actively occurring before the vehicle was turned off.Read more

However, my SUV has no warranty and I was told engine replacement is not covered. This poses a risk to my daughter with the possibility of engine fire if coolant burns out, not to mention hesitation at lights while turning that can cause an accident. SUV is available for your inspection. I feel Ford issued a TSB to prevent a recall so they do not have to address problem with all the vehicle. I am the owner of a 2017 Nissan Rogue SV FWD. Bought the vehicle back in October 2022 with a clear history with no prior accidents reported on the vehicle. Recently while driving to work, my brakes on my 2017 Nissan Rogue suddenly braked or locked up without me pressing the brake pedal. ... Nissan Rogue to lose traction and hydroplane across the lanes on the freeway and in doing so sending me crashing into the concrete barrier in the medium. It has been raining that day and while it was raining at the time of the incident, me hydroplaning unexpectedly was inevitable. The impact with the concrete barrier send me careening backward to now face the oncoming traffic that were behind me more than two hundred feet away. I look to the dash and discovered the "automatic braking" light on. Not wanting to get struck by oncoming drivers, I managed to move my vehicle to a safe location and turn the engine off. I like to also add that the driver side airbag on the 2017 Nissan Rogue DID NOT deploy from the impact. No drivers or other vehicles were struck damaged or impact from the incident. While driving in rush hour on interstate 75 on my way to work, my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe completely shut off without any warning lights or indication of any problems. I had to drift without power in my vehicle to the far right shoulder over 4 lanes of traffic. I was towed to a Hyundai dealership who confirmed my engine seized due to a rod bearing issue. And the second w sidewall failure at about 10,000 miles of use. i have photographed the second tire failure. While vehicle was in motion front wiper failed to operate while it was heavily raining. Resulting in have to pull to side of road and request a tow to a mechanics due to the dangerous hazard of no longer being able to see out of front windshield and possibly causing accidents and or fatalities. After multiple repairs on my vehicle. We have received a new error today. Showing e-Step system failure, ABS light, Brake system failure, forward collision system off, rear braking system off & traction control system off.

The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer advised the contact to repair the vehicle at her own expense, and she might be reimbursed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.Read more
