Swollen Wheel Nuts
Incident date: Feb 1, 2024
My name is [XXX] Owner of KIA SORENTO 2016 V6 At the begging of this year in early January , my automobile starting showing extremely overheating conditions. My wife was taking our kids to school on a cold weather, 15 minutes from home and as she was arriving to the school parking lot she noticed the temperature indicator up to (H) mark, she then notice a loud buzzing sound coming from the eng
... ine.She parked the car immediately as she could , shutdown the engine and asked my kids to leave the car immediately . She called me very frightened and worry about my kids safety and hers. She said that she was able to shutdown the engine but the temperature indicator stayed on H mark and the buzzing sound was still on. Then, I remember receiving a latter from Kia Corporate Headquarters, extending the warranty on my car on mid December 2023. The letter states that the warranty has been extended because it's a potential overheating and coolant leaking that it has been related to the cylinder head gasket and head bolts. We reached out to a dealer right after the incident and on [XXX] we took our car for inspection and acknowledge the mechanical problem. All the sings of the fail system of the engine are present in my car. My car has been at the dealer since [XXX] and as of now Kia Corporate has fail to proceed with the approval of the repairs of my car. I have been renting cars all this time and the dealer personal said they can't approve to pay any rental until Kia Corporate Headquarters acknowledge the fail engine. Its absurd that Kia Corporate Headquarters have the knowledge of this dangerous mechanical issues in my car engine but fail to acknowledge repairs. The case it's no longer" to be determine" on their data base, its updated to repair as fallow but yet has not acknowledge that our car has to be fix under their extended warranty and my wife still driving my kids on a rental car . I was contacted by Hyundai last year about a possible recall on my engine so I brought it in October 2023 to have it checked out. I was told that everything with the car was fine. Fast forward to last week 02-21-2024 and my engine starts shutting off while driving ON THE HIGHWAY? I have it towed to a new dealership in Jacksonville FL Jenkins Hyundai I believe. They inform me that it is indeed the
... engine and it will be replaced for free under warranty. However, it’s been over a week and the parts for the car are still not available. I have researched online and found I am far from the only one this has happened to. I was not given a loaner car and they did not offer to pay for my rental but I was told they would reimburse me. I was also told that they would just pay every week for a rental car for me but then I was later told that that was a flat out lie. After March 7th when the rental car I have is to be returned I can no longer afford a rental car and will not have access to reliable transportation. This could potentially result in me losing my job. This is unacceptable and Hyundai should be investigated and held accountable for selling cars they know have faulty engines.Read more

Since more than 18 months, we have the known intermittent problem described in TSB [XXX], where all of a sudden the wrench appears, speedometer drops to zero and car can't change gear anymore. Technicians drove it for 11 miles (!) and could not reproduce the problem so could not do the required work ie changing the molded leadframe. Now, in January 2024 the problem happened again and this time the Check Engine light came on. The same error code P0720 was now permanently stored. Took the car to the garage, where they were able to diagnose the problem and ... replaced the molded leadframe. This at an out of pocket cost of $1,300. Contacted Ford and they say there is no program or financial assistance in place for this problem, despite all the information that can be found. It is clear this a general problem of all 6R80 gearboxes beyond the time periods stated in the recall. Ford is negligent by not doing a recall on all cars having this gearbox. Nobody is looking at this issue at Ford, when creating a case number they say no program exists, and state paperwork and proof can be sent to a PO BOX in Dearborn (not even an email address to send attachments in this 21st century). All ways to discourage people to react, send in documents or claim documents did not arrive. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The auto leveling lights drift during driving. On staff up, the headlights will point up and down, then self level. However, for the past week, the right headlight drifts down towards the road and the left headlight will drift upwards after about 20-30 minutes of driving. The downward drifting headlight only illuminates about 1 car length ahead while the upward drifting headlight will point toward
... s overhead street signs. This causes reduced visibility with increased flare and reduced headlight throw at the same time. It also is dangerous to incoming traffic since the left headlight ends up drifting upward to produce a throw similar to a high beam, even though the high beams are off. The only way to get the lights to re-level is to shut off the vehicle and restart. Even after this, the lights will only be at the correct level for about 20-30 minutes as they start to drift in opposite vertical directions while driving. There have been multiple reports of similar cases on forums discussing the Cadillac Lyriq. Since the problem only occurs noticeably after 20-30 of night driving, the dealer has stated they can not reproduce it while in their possession. There are no warning messages or codes displayed.Read more

Campaign #[XXX] I was notified and contacted Hyundai multiple times - 11/14, 15 and 16.There were multiple other times as well. I contacted both Broadway and Bergstrom Hyundai in both Appleton and Green Bay on multiple occasions as well to ask for a rental while awaiting the remedy as you are advised not to park near structures and outside. I live in an area where this is not possible and rent a d
... uplex with a shared driveway-meaning that if a fire would occur, an explosion would most likely occur and lives would be lost. This also means that going to run errands while parked near other vehicles could cause multiple fatalities, as an explosion would most likely occur and more lives would be lost. If I were at any location and the vehicle started on fire, there would certainly be fatalities. To date, I have contacted Hyundai again and the representative was extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. At one point I was promised a rental but then was turned away. No warning lights came on but if there is a fluid leak, who is to say that the wires that would transmit a signal to turn on an ABS light would not be disabled as well?Brake fluid has certain components that could render wires useless. I have not had my vehicle inspected by a dealer because the recall was sent to me by Hyundai. I also have had other problems with this vehicle including seats not being stable and seatbelt indicators not working which questions whether I need to worry about the passengers safety. This campaign has been ongoing since I received this letter in November of 2023. Hyundai has yet to do a thing about this recall. I am asking for a complete refund for this vehicle due to multiple recalls. Today-[XXX] I was on hold for 50 minutes, without an agent-so I am also questioning how seriously you are taking these issues. I have always looked on your website prior to purchasing vehicles, but now I am uncertain as to how much I should take your websites advice. I was patient throughout the 2 previous Odyssey recalls (which took HONDA months to remedy) but, since, according to HONDA, fuel pump recall # 23V-858 poses a clear SAFETY RISK: If the fuel pump module is inoperative, the engine may not start or can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury -- I cannot be patient again. After the supposed fix, the issue seemed fine for a while. However, the issue came back shortly after purchase and got worse causing other symptoms such as the car alarm going off randomly after locking the car. I honestly feel the dealer just cleaned the sensor and door latch area to make a sale, which from what I've read is only a temporary fix. They did what I felt like was a quick fix because the owner told the mechanic what he needed to do but the mechanic did a ride along with me, vocally stated what he wanted to do and reassured me he would do his best but the owner took precedence. Something was done to my air compressor(s) and it lasted a little over a week then went back to violently shaking every time I hit a bump or pot hole as well as the car taking a while to come to a complete stop. That happened from the beginning and I took it to the Nissan dealership twice and was told that’s normal. I have to stop far off from a stop sign or light to stop in time or just fly through. All of the recalls that the 2010 Armada has is all of the same issues I’m having which are very dangerous and life threatening. My suspension, rack and pinion, and brakes are all severely affected. Now the aux battery is draining my main battery and I’ve had to tow my car 3 times because I’ve been left stranded. I’m now in that same predicament and it’s 2/26/24

The supplemental air bag warning light came on the dashboard. My local mechanic coded it at B1018, occupant sensor failure. At his suggestion, I brought it to a Nissan dealership (Infiniti is over an hour away from where I live.). They indicated I need to replace both seat sensor and OCS module. They say the seat must be replaced. Checking the Internet, there is a recent recall for Infiniti
... air bag problems. I contend that if that same system was used in 2011, a recall of that year should exist. In addition, there are many similar issues reported on the Internet.Read more

Experiencing a high-pitched whining/ringing sound from the air conditioning system. It is highly distracting and irritating, and basically prevents the use of some fan speed settings for extended durations due to the pain it causes. Many other Corolla owners are experiencing the same issue and Toyota refuses to take action in every case, saying the problem is "characteristic of the vehicle" or som

A particular chip resonates at about 15.7 kHz. I encourage you to put that frequency into an online tone generator to get an idea of the problem, although for some people, especially those who are older, sounds this high are inaudible like a dog whistle.
