I leased my EV9, GT from Northstar KIA, NY. I got the delivery of EV9 GT on 3/29/2024. I started to notice that the car was not charging properly. After the whole night of charging it was charged like 3-4% at most. on the 3rd-4th day, the car started to make sudden abnormal sounds. Later that day I was driving to the shopping mall, and the car started to behave weirdly, after driving about 8-10 miles, right before the mall entrance, the car became very slow, it was not responding to acceleration. I was slowly able to pull the car to the parking. About 2-3 hours later when I started the car again, it started normally, all the signs were good, and as soon as I turned my car on the main street, about 3-4 minutes after starting the car, it suddenly stopped. Thank God, there were no cars right behind me. The power was on, but the car was not moving. I had to tow the car to my home since the service center was closed. The next day I called Kia roadside assistance and it is at a service center on 04/08/2024. I am an extremely busy physician and have small children in my household. I am deeply concerned about the safety aspects of this vehicle as it tends to shut off in the roadway while driving. This is extremely dangerous for me and my family. To my surprise, My dealer, Northstar KIA has no loaner vehicle. After my repeated requests, my salesperson told me to go to the service center and ask for a rental car. and also told me they would reimburse the rental fees. I had just purchased my vehicle on 03/06/2024. A few days after purchasing my vehicle, the check engine light came on. I took it to Autozone to get the check engine light code read and see what the issue was. The code showed a cylinder 4 misfire. I purchased and replaced replaced the spark plugs, egnition coils, a sensor and cleaner for fuel injectors and throttle body. After I replaced the diffe
... rent parts, it was still showing the check engine light. I took it to Bi O Tires and they had the code read and told me it had a cylinder 4 misfire. They told me to take it to Tunex because they were not able to fix it there. I took it to Tunex and they did a diagnostic to see the reason it was misfiring and told me that the car wasn't misfiring and that the vehicle was fine. They turn the check engine light off and after a couple of days the check engine light came on. I took it to the Chrysler dealership to get it checked, they told me that they were going to check it and fix a recall issue on it, and that if the check engine light came on, they didn't know what to do. The service man then told us that this is happening with multiple vehicles. They thought they had a fix, but within 2 weeks it returned on other people. He said hold on. We are in contact with Ford to see what to do. He will let me know. Then in March 2024, I became so frustrated I called them again asking if they heard anything from Ford. He said bring it in. I asked if that was something they were taking care of or I was responsible for. He responded, let's just get it in and see. I got a call the back after his 'inspection' to tell me the 'fix' didn't work but it was only $70 and we needed a new transmission that was $4500. I was so flustered at that point, I had him call my husband. (I was literally on my way to hospital with an emergency). This has been ongoing for years and I have been pushed off and now that it's not under warranty I am responsible for something that they don't even know is wrong. I have been recommended to read Ford blogs regarding this and this is a know problem with vehicle and a know tactic with dealerships to avoid responsibility. Frustrated!!!!Read more

... y and unexpectedly stopped it jerked my body forward causing my neck to become sore. This can cause greater injury or worst if I was going any faster. If someone was behind me it could cause them to crash into me which would be doing the opposite of the purpose of the safety feature. I took the car in to the dealership and nothing could be done because there wasn't a code and it didn't happen in the presence of the mechanic. It could be a sensor issue but I don't know and the mechanics seem to be just as clueless and very dismissive. I find this to be unacceptable that I must drive around with a car that can break abruptly at any given time. I do not feel safe driving this car and it should be a safety recall on this issue.
