Hello, I believe Ford has failed to issue a recall that is causing water damage to brand new vehicles which posses a health risk(mold) to consumers as well as shorten the life of the product sold. My vehicle started having a problem with a wet passenger floor and after a quick search its clearly a common problem as there are several web forums dedicated to the issue. I should not have to pay for
... repairs that are clearly a manufacturing issue common across a brand new vehicle model. When I checked for a recall related to this there is none which is irksome to say the least. I messaged Ford and they would not acknowledge any existing recall or warranty covering for the issue and that repair would be at my own expense. Android auto provides an interface between an Android phone and a car's display and audio system. One of the primary features is navigation and turn-by-turn directions. Beginning about 6 months ago, Android auto has failed to announce turn-by-turn directions. It is not obvious that it is in this failure mode until you notice that turns are not being announced. The user interface indicates that th
... ey should be being played. This has resulted in me not noticing and exit coming up, and I have found myself making sudden unsafe unwise lane changes to exit a highway. This has been a frequent problem, happening more than half of the time. Restarting the phone sometimes helps sometimes it does not. This is especially dangerous because the failure it's not obvious until you are driving, and trying to restart a phone while driving is equally unsafe.Read more

I began hearing a rattling sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. I believed it was possibly the suspension, as the vehicle would also bounce more often than expected when going over any irregularities in the road (potholes, speed bumps, normal wear on roads, etc). I brought it to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, and they found no issues. I had previously replaced all 4 tires and
... brakes before hearing this sound, and nothing was brought to my attention then, either. The noise continued, and I brought the vehicle to another mechanic, where the damage was found immediately. The frame had corroded to the point where the mechanic advised me to not even drive home, rather have the vehicle towed to the dealership to be assessed and checked for a recall. Multiple incidents similar to mine have been found - all starting after 100k miles - but none have resulted in an official recall notice.Read more

When starting from a stop, with my 2022 Ford F150 FX4 in drive, sometimes the parking brake will automatically turn on without me activating it while driving. This causes my truck to skid to a halt and I have to manually disengage the parking brake to resume driving. I am concerned about the increased risk for harm to myself or others from a collision due to the unintended stopping. I don't know i
... f the brake lights turn on or not when this happens either, but the vehicle remains in drive and the red park brake active light comes on (lower right corner of the instrument cluster). The local Ford dealership has had the truck in twice for this condition, but they have said they cannot reproduce the problem. I have recorded a video of it happening and sent it to Ford. The recall on my truck having to do with the parking brake that was issued September 2023 has been repaired by the local Ford dealership as of October 2023, but this is still occuring. No advanced warning is given when this occures. It is sudden, and seemingly random, but so far has only occurred when starting from a stop. Other potentially useful information: This has occurred with my vehicle 6 times in the last two weeks with today being the most recent. I have auto hold turned ON. I set the parking brake when I am parked in my driveway. I turn right from my driveway in the mornings. Most of the occurrences of this have been on a slope, but one occurrence has occurred on level ground. Ford has not found an answer for my vehicle yet. They did re-inspect the recall work and said nothing was wrong with that part.Read more

When driving and releasing the accelerator, the regen kicks in to slow the car and provide deceleration and regeneration. During this time, you can feel the brake pedal vibrate. When allowing regen to kick in and suddenly driving over a bump or uneven surface, the regen turns off, and thus, the car gets pushed forward suddenly as the part of deacceleration coming of the regen is not present. This
... ultimately translates into an increase in the stopping distance since the driver is under the assumption that the regen braking is going to be present. To compensate, when using the manual brake pedal, suddenly, the car responds by activating the ABS and momentarily continuing forward at a slightly faster speed for a few feet. In addition, with 2.0, it has been observed that the current braking is a mix of manual brakes and regen brakes. You can see while the system is working, your brake pedal is being compressed automatically while the regen is also being active. when driving over an even surface, the regen gets deactivated, and the brake pedal remains compressed and does not come back up as quickly as it should; it appears that during this time, you are basically pressing the pedal, and there is essentially no regen brakes working, and the manual brakes appear to be activating. Compounding my concerns are the numerous warning messages that have appeared on the vehicle's dashboard, including "Auto Emergency Braking unavailable - Drive carefully" and "Brake system malfunction - Service is required", "Lane Keep Assistance Deativated" "Front Facing Collision Camera Fault". No service tickets have been provided to track, and no prior tickets for vent issues have been addressed. Poor communication and service provided into evaluating and addressing these concerns and braking issues.Read more

While driving (speed doesn’t matter, highway or city streets) the check hybrid system turn off engine message/code comes on. When u turn off the car and wait for a period of time the it’s not there anymore but the check engine light stays on and the car drive normal until the code comes back up. When the message comes up the engine loses power and and the car just slows down until the car is t
... urned off. This is a safety hazard when you’re driving on a freeway and especially a freeway with no shoulder to pull over on or going through a read light with no speed. The car just does it periodically and when u take it to the dealership they say they can’t duplicate the problem. When all u do is hook a computer up and look for a code when the problem arises while driving you’re never going to find the issue. No the dealer hasn’t reproduced the problem because they didn’t drive the car just leaving it to sit up and checking codes doesn’t bring the problem to light. They wasn’t any warning signal or codes before this but not code p2600 and code p0401 are coming up. Spending $2000 for a part that will can’t be ordered anywhere but from the dealership and the problem still exist is not being logical. So many online reviews have the same problem and not one person has found out the problem from changing the electric water pump to transmission to the engine the warning sign still come back after some time. Me not being the 1st owner and the car out of warranty due to mileage is just robbing folks blinds with no solution.Read more

On my recent visit to my trusted independent service center, which specializes in Mercedes-Benz, they noticed serious corrosion problems. There were no symptoms to alert me to any problem. Also, I never received the notice from MB so how would I know? My mechanic asked me to sign a waiver (which I never have had to do before) that stated the rear subframe was rotted completely through; needs to
... be replaced ASAP; and is unsafe to drive. The rear brakes lines also had corrosion. This tells me the car is unsafe to drive, and must be fixed. It seems that MB issued an "extended warranty" to cover the rear subframe, but not the rear brake lines. I contacted MB Corporate who said they 'may' offer some assistance. I have an appointment next week with a MB dealer who must provide an estimate of the damage and cost to MB for their approval before doing any work. As a result of learning what's eating my car underneath, I won't take it on any extended trips. I really am afraid of something bad happening. And it has, to many others. No one should ever have to get into a car and worry about these two safety issues. It’s very important that Mercedes-Benz recognizes its responsibility to not only its customers, but to all the other drivers on the road who can be negatively affected through accidents caused by these corrosion issues.Read more

While operating my vehicle at speeds exceeding 70 mph in the leftmost lane of [XXX] , the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral. Despite attempts to manually select a driving gear, the transmission failed to engage, causing a rapid loss of speed. In an effort to avoid a potentially hazardous situation due to the decreasing speed in a high-speed lane, I attempted to maneuver the vehicle towards
... the right shoulder but was unable to because of the oncoming traffic. It became necessary to bring the vehicle to a complete halt, turn off the ignition, and then restart the engine in the left lane with traffic building behind me. The vehicle managed to restart but with difficulty, allowing me to exit the highway and pull into a nearby gas station where it eventually stalled and could not be restarted. - The vehicle displayed no warning lights or error messages prior to or during the incident. - got the vehicle towed to Cadillac dealership for inspection and diagnostic testing. The Engine needs to be replaced - The dealership was unable to provide a conclusive explanation but noted that similar incidents had been reported with this model. - Independent research indicated a pattern of similar issues among owners of the same model, involving unintended shifts into neutral while driving. - Multiple online forums and consumer reports sites have documented complaints regarding this issue. [XXX] - The inability to maintain or control vehicle speed in high-speed traffic lanes presents a significant risk of collision. - Inexperienced drivers may not respond adequately to such unexpected vehicle behaviors, increasing the likelihood of accidents. This incident underscores a critical safety concern that requires immediate attention from both the manufacturer and regulatory bodies. I recommend a thorough investigation into the model’s transmission system by the National Highway Safety Commission.
The harness that controls the lift gate is malfunctioning. It’s an issue from the previous recall that has reproduced results. The only way to fix it is to disconnect and connect the safety pins by the foot panel on the drivers side door. Over time it has progressively gotten worse to the point that anytime it opens, it’ll need to be disconnected and then connected before the next time you use
... it. Also one time it stopped working when the lift gate was open and would not let you close the lift gate.Read more
