Finally took it in to Hyundai and was told there was no compression in the 4th cylinder and a new engine was going to cost me $8650. The engine barely has 117k miles on it and everything else is in excellent shape. There were no warning signs ever that my car was low on oil, never any indication anything was wrong in the 5 years I have owned it until suddenly it breaks on me out of nowhere. The propane regulator on this RV was recalled by the NHTSA recently as it was venting propane under high temperature conditions. The replacement regulator is of such poor quality, less than 1 year later the hoses are cracked and worn to the point where I do not trust them to hold propane. This is an item that previously had zero signs of wear, no cracks or damage to the hoses, but was faulty from

This part should have a usable service life of far longer than one year. The hoses are far more unsafe than the faulty regulator as they would allow liquefied propane to escape rather than just a little bit of gas propane under extremely hot conditions. My regulator was only replaced about a year ago, the regulator is also not exposed to any sunlight, so it is unlikely that sun damage could account for this issue.Read more

During the last 3 winters I have noticed the car do something strange when going up an extended highway inclines. The battery % along with the estimated miles left will drop suddenly (~40% in a minute) and when I would go over the top of the hill most of the battery % and miles would return. During the 2021-2022 winter, I noticed this happen only once or twice. During 2022-2023 winter, I noticed t
... his happen more often but I did not know what was causing it except it seemed to only happen on very cold days and also when the battery % prior to the drop was around 50% or less. During the current 2023-2024 winter, this issue became common. It no longer had to be very cold but just an extended incline and battery at 50% or less. It usually happened between exit [XXX] and exit [XXX] on [XXX] in New Jersey. It has become so common that I was able to record it. The videos show the car will lose over 40% of battery in about a minute. However, once I would go over the hill most of the battery % would come right back. In one video the “Battery charge is low Charge now” warning is triggered. On a few occasions, when I had around 30% of battery prior to going up this hill and the battery started to drop suddenly, I had to make a rapid emergency stop on the right shoulder midway up the hill. When stopped the battery would recover back to around 30% and I was able to get over the hill. This obviously created a safety concern. My car battery is still covered under Nissan’s EV battery warranty. I have taken the car to two 2 Nissan dealerships. One of the dealership was able to replicate the issue, but stated the only way they will approve the warranty repair is if they disassembles the battery. They stated once they approve the warranty repair they can order the battery but that it might take up to 8-9 months to get the battery. They stated that during this whole time my car will be inoperable and Nissan will not provide or reimburse for a loaner car. My ABS/Brake/Traction alarm is lit up on my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn (99.5k miles) and I was notified that the part is not available from Mopar/Dodge. It has been checked out by Firestone and confirmed by them that the part is not available.

I was driving on a congested thoroughfare during rush hour on a Friday night. My truck became unresponsive and the steering wheel locked up. The truck made a screeching stop. With over 100 cars behind me honking. I was unable to drive car off the road shoulder in a safe location. The cars electrical system when dead. With very limited battery life on my phone, I worked to to solve this problem
... . Luckily I had a few tools in the truck and was able to dismantle the all of the underdash plastic and metal components in about 1 hr with cachophany of honking and yelling with ever car. No stopped to help. I had to push the vehicle approx a quarter of a mile on a moderate incline and jump in the cab without power steering and coast down a side street. I had to learn how to put the car in neutral this way to move. This is Friday night and unable to get a towing service provider to my location, I had to wait in a lesser than desirable neighborhood until 2:30 am to get the car to my place residence. This was one of the scariest and deadliest incidents I have ever had in a motor vehicle. I am deathly afraid this will reoccur on a highway with fatal consequences.Read more
