Took my car for a doorknob repair and was told the whole subframe is rotted. They told me not to drive the car on the highway. The car brakes very hard to the right and always goes right while making cranking noises. Car feels very unsafe. I paid a lot of money for this and own a 2012 c300 4matic.

The vehicle has just over 35000 miles of light normal use as a second family vehicle. It developed a loud grinding noise from the etransmission that quickly progressed to a vibration. It was taken to BMW Seattle where it was diagnosed as a known issue of the main transmission bearings disintegrating due to the effect of the permanent magnet motors on the metal roller bearings. The bearings were qu
... ietly modified by BMW for the 2019 model year due to this in an effort to mitigate the problem and subsequently BMW abandoned the permanent magnet motor technology due to this . This information was from the various BMW service advisors. The repair is quoted as $7400 to replece the entire e transmission to the new design. If unrepaired there is a " significant risk the transmission will jam at highway speed causing a loss of control due to rear wheel lockup". Calls to BMW NA about this issue were replied with "BMW is unwilling to assist the customer with this issue." It is unconscionable that a vehicle with 35000m and a 4 year 50 000m warranty would have its transmission disintegrate with the potential of a catastrophic accident under light use due to a known manufacturer defect and BMW would not even attempt to assist their customers when they have the rectification available.Read more

I own a 2017 Nissan Altima. This vehicle has been having similar issues that other owners have reported with the vehicle failing to accelerate after stopping or sitting ideal while running the and you go too take off, barely moves to a crawl even if the gas pedal is to the floor. It will also loose power (speed) without warning while driving. The vehicle will not register any warning lights wh
... en this occurs not even a check engine light comes on when this occurs. It does not register any issues in a diagnostic test to which one was completed by a Nissan dealer in Lebanon Pa. (Moyer Nissan). Because of this the Service advisor/mechanic indicated that they would be "guessing" as to what the issue was even though it is clearly a issue with the 2017 models; it hasn't been the first time I'm sure that someone came to that Nissan dealer with the same problems and knowing that the 2017 have complaints with CVT Transmission. I'm no mechanic but I think it is a blatant disregard for human life if that they do NOT recall this vehicle or at the very least replace all equipment (transmission; throttle, pertaining to the accelerator) at no expense to the owner.Read more

Head Gasket Failure diagnosed by Honda city in New York. The purpose of the diagnostic was to address what I believed to be issues related to the ongoing Fuel Pump recall, as discussed with an American Honda representative prior to my visit. The symptoms I had been experiencing included intermittent stalling or loss of power, what prompted me to reach out immediately was an instance on a highway
... where the engine lost all power, prompting us to pull over to the side of the road, This could have been a much worse outcome. Additionally, I have noticed occasional trembling upon startup. Per the Service department the conclusion of the diagnostic was that the coolant was low due to washing the piston heads and cylinder walls and ultimately the head gasket needed to be replaced along with spark plugs. The total costs for these services amount to about $4,800. To provide further context, the coolant was last replaced on [XXX] 2024. The first issues began to arise in mid-February when the digital gauge displayed at least 8 warnings across various systems. [XXX], 2024 the car was brought in for more maintenance and further investigation into the warnings. Nothing came about here as the issue couldn't be reproduced and no action was taken. I feel as though there was nothing more I could have done to prevent this situation. The car has a pristine maintenance record and has just over 42,000 miles after a little over 5 years of ownership , an average of 15-20 miles a day. After researching on my own, Ive found this to be much more common issue for the 2018 1.5 accords along with other models. First issue- banjo bolt connected to front break master cylinder was loose and lost brake fluid, causing loss of front break function. Fixed by dealer under warranty. Luckily I noticed it when I was in my garage, otherwise it could have resulted in severe injury or death if on the road. No warning light. Second issue- traction control failure light, turn signal failure light. Both fixed by separ
... ate software updates. The traction control failure could have caused an accident if I was expecting the system to be operational and encountered wet pavement. Turn signal malfunction fixed by software update. Third issue- abs control unit software recall. Fixed under KTM warranty. No warning light displayed. Ktm did not notify me of the recall. I was not aware of the abs issue. Fourth issue- valve cover gasket leak and premature camshaft failure. Based on photos from the dealership when inspecting the valve cover gasket the camshaft lobes were prematurely worn at 8k miles, valves were also out of spec. Ktm refused to replace the camshaft and instead is polishing it and putting back in. Now I owe money on the repair because they are blaming the valve adjustment on “light” dust ingestion into the motor despite air filter cleanings being done well before the manufacturer recommendation and KTM factory accessories for additional air filtrations. No warning lights on dash. The premature camshaft failure could eventually cause engine lockup if not addressed until the recommended 18k mile valve inspection. Engine lockup could cause the rear wheel to lockup causing a loss of control and risk of accident. I am now selling the bike at a large loss due to fear for my safety when riding the bike. Based on expert guidance the camshafts should have been replaced and the cleaning procedure done under KTM warranty will result in accelerated wear. Ktm customer service refused to acknowledge widespread camshaft failure, as reported by thousands of owners.Read more

Purchased a new 2025 CRV Touring from EdVoylesHonda in Marietta GA on [XXX] with my hard-earned savings because my Accord was totaled in an accident. Picked it up on [XXX]. I found a safety issue where CarPlay is not playing audio output from any Maps (Apple/ Google/ Waze) if I’m in on a call. Apple designed the Apple Maps to chime if anyone is in a call while using CarPlay. I brought up this is
... sue on 5/25 to the dealer but was told it’s an expected behavior. Not satisfied with the answer, I went to HondaConyersGA to do some digging and found that this issue doesn’t apply to Android Auto and any lower trim (ie. Sport L). The issue is consistent across 2023-2025 CRV Touring trim. I went back to EdVoylesHonda service on [XXX] and [XXX] only to be discredited on my findings, and the service manager said that it might be a compatibility issue with Bose speakers. It was deemed normal since all Gen 6 Touring has the same behavior. I was also told that the turn-by-turn also plays on the screen and should be keeping an eye on the screen instead. This is disturbing because I’m trying to limit my attention to the screen as much as possible, and sounds like a safety issue. A ticket was also opened with Honda Customer Service on 5/28, but haven’t heard any statement or a path to move forward since the case manager said that they can only document the issue. Either Honda needs to take the car back and let me get a car that’s working or have a commitment to resolve this issue. Ever since I bought my vehicle off the lot, my oil has been burning and/or leaking from the engine. I have been having to put oil in every 2-3 weeks. The first instance I had with this problem was on a road trip to Texas from Tennessee alone. All four spark plugs
... began faltering on the highway where the speed limit was 75mph, easily a dangerous situation for a malfunctioning engine. I had to pay to repair my vehicle the next day and it totaled to a little under $600. I was driving to work, and I reversed out of my driveway. I stopped, put the transmission in Drive, and proceeded forward. I let my foot off of the accelerator, and the transmission slipped and the car lurched and made a "thunk" noise. I stopped, and then accelerated again. After about 10 minutes of driving (while stopping and going at several stoplights), I was driving at 45 mph. The engine
... suddenly started revving past 4000 RPM, and the car would not accelerate forward anymore. I let my foot off the accelerator, then pressed on it again. The engine again revved with no forward movement, and several clunking and grinding noises. I was fortunately able to pull over on the shoulder of the road. I put the vehicle in park, then drive again. It would not move. After turning the car off and on again, and putting the transmission in drive, it clunked loudly and lurched forward. I was able to drive another 1/4 mile slowly, and pull into a parking lot. After that, the car would not move in forward or reverse gear. It was towed to the dealership on May 15, and has been there evere since. I am submitting this due to the Ford Motor Corporation's awareness of the issues with the transmissions on these vehicles, and the safety risk that they pose. I was lucky that there was a place to safely pull off of the road and move the vehicle to a parking spot.Read more

It suddenly lost power and slowly hopped through the intersection. At 60k the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel quit working. When we asked the Nissan Dealership about it, we were told that was typical and it would slowly lose all the functionality of the steering wheel controls. All the functionality was gone by 70k miles. We have learned that Nissan's transmissions are very problematic and these situations are typical as you get closer to 120k miles. We planned to have this car for several more years. If we sell it and buy a different car we are out several thousand dollars or if we keep it we will likely have to pay for a new transmission also several thousand dollars.Read more
