We purchased the vehicle in Feb 2024. On [XXX] a check engine light came on while driving on [XXX] (1 lane highway) and a few seconds later the on the display on the instrument panel stated "Stop Safely, the vehicle will shut off soon" and the vehicle immediately started slowing down and lost the ability to accelerate. Luckily the vehicle was able to pull off the road about 20 seconds after the "S

We let the vehicle sit for approximately 10 minutes and the vehicle was able to start back up with a "Check Engine" caution light. We were able to limp the vehicle home. The vehicle was brought into the dealer on the 29th of May and found multiple error codes on the vehicle. The maintainer said would require a new PIM Power Inverter P/N 68381781-AD. The part is not available and is on back order (Dealership said it could take months). I contacted Chrysler at 1-800-334-9200 on 6 June and discussed the issue. They said they will elevate my case to a supervisor and will call me back within 24 hours. They did not call back. On 11 June my case worker was unavailable and left a voice mail. And on 12 June I contacted Chrysler at the above number again and spoke to a different person who said my case worker is the only one that can handle my issue. Again, they have not returned my call. Lastly, I called another dealer in Orlando to see if they had the part (above part number), they said that they had 5 vehicles waiting for the part and the PIM Power Inverter is on back order (which he said that the part could take months). Bottom line, if the vehicle would have shut off like it did on a freeway like the I-95, this would have ended in an accident or worse. I am having trouble with my car jerking when accelerating between 30 and 50 mph. I originally began to have trouble with my 2019 Ford Edge on 5/13/22. On this date, the car began to overheat and I ended up having to incur the expense of not only having the car towed; but also of retrieving the car as the closest Ford dealership at the time was 5 hours away from my home. Shortly after the repair, I noticed that my car's wifi was no longer working; and, when I inquired I was told that there would be a $400 diagnostic fee. Furthermore, after about 6 months I noticed that the car would begin to jerk when accelerating. There were no console warnings, just an irregularity when driving. I took it back to the dealership on 8-28-2023 for the acceleration issue. I was given a rental car while they reviewed the issue. The repair cost me $600. After about 6 months, the issue returned and persisted. Until I finally turned the car in on 5-1-2024. After 26 days, I was given an estimate of more than $4,000 for diagnostic services and repairs. I trusted Ford Motor Company so I did everything to be a good client, pay my bill and retrieve my car as quickly as possible. I turned in the rental car on 5/27/24 and was able to pay my bill but 6/7/24. And not 24 hours later, I have the same jerking issue. It occurs when the car is accelerating between 30mph and 50mph; especially when going uphill. I have followed all factory requested specs and have had it serviced regularly. Ever since then my gas gauge has NEVER been accurate and just goes up and down randomly. I have to track my gas by resetting the miles of my “total trip” when I fill up. My dashboard constantly went on and off and I never knew what was accurate and what wasn’t. About 6 months ago my dashboard went completely black and hasn’t came on since. My car is now barley taking over 4 gallons of gas at a time before the auto stop on the pump cuts off. If I try refilling anyways gas overflows. This makes absolutely no sense. I can’t see how fast im going, hear my blinkers go on and off, see how much gas I have, how many miles are on my car, any check engine lights, and now I can’t drive over 75 miles without having to “fill up” my measly 4 gallons again before the pump shuts off. I was never notified of any recalls but there is absolutely no way my car is excluded from them. The electronic control module is fried, I can’t even get gas, and a brand new battery and fuel pump was clearly just a miniature band aid on this disaster chain of problems. This has occurred three separate times, but this report explains what happened during the most recent occurrence. I was driving at 40 mph. The car in front of me hit their brakes, so I lightly tapped my brakes to slow down. When I tapped the gas pedal, the car would not increase speed. The check engine light, oil light, and battery light each turned on simultaneously. The car then stalled complete

I hit the brakes (which were now hard to push down), hit my emergency flashes so that the car behind me would pass me, pulled over to the side of the road, and then I turned off the car. When I turned the car back on, 30 seconds later, all of the lights were off and the car started with no issue.Read more

The transmission is slow, hesitant and jerky in models with the v6 engine. I almost got into a major car crash due to the transmission’s very hesitant behavior. When driving, the car started to stutter when accelerating and while driving any speed below 60 mph, while trying to get the car home it would not accelerate up a hill after I stopped at a light and I was in the middle of the street stuck on a blind spot. My husband had to get out and direct the traffic before they came pst the blind spot and hit me.

Glacier white pearl paint is faulty. Chips and peals. Simply driving the car and getting rained on caused the paint to chip and peal.
