I am a [XXX] physician who has been driving for about 30 years. Purchased this vehicle as a CPO with VIN as identified above. It is a 2024 BMW 530i X-drive from Faulkner BMW in Lancaster, PA. ... [XXX] about to make a right turn onto [XXX] for work at the Hospital System where I am employed. The traffic light was red and I was going about 5 miles an hour and attempted to brake the car. There was an 18 wheeler truck about 10 to 15 feet ahead of me. My car instead of braking underwent unintended acceleration. Despite my efforts to slam on the brake, the car was accelerating. None of the safety features including automatic emergency breaking were activated. Unfortunately I collided with the 18 wheeler. This was fortunate in some regards as I could have potentially struck a pedestrian or a motorcycle and have had a potentially fatal event. Please note that additionally my airbag did not deploy. The BMW dealership was contacted. They dropped off a loaner vehicle and picked up my vehicle in a flat bed for investigation. I was informed to contact BMW of North America which I did. Interestingly enough, there were no safety recalls on this vehicle on [XXX]. The car is at the BMW dealership in Lancaster PA for their internal inspection. I am being informed that the engineers are looking at the vehicle to find out what transpired. Interestingly enough, I did receive a phone call from the service manager advising me on August 9 that there was a safety recall as a relates to the brakes. As I review the NHTSA site, there is now a recall on my actual vehicle's braking system. I did a review of unintended acceleration and found multiple complaints. I got the car back and immediately noted a difference

I took it back to the dealer and the tech took it for a ride and came back saying the car was trying to kill him. He test drove five other Accords and had the same issue. The tech then said he has a new Honda CRX and his does not have this issue but all Accords he drove did. The car now has 1,500 miles on it and I refuse to drive it because I can't trust the safety features since the rack and pinion was replaced. The dealership submitted an incident report to Honda and we have not heard back from them yet. I have 4 other cars ranging from 1971-2013; I feel safe in them and will drive them until Honda can provide me the safe and reliable car I thought I purchased in February.Read more

I searched this issue online and found that there are recalls for this exact issue in other trims of this truck but the recalls don't cover my trim. The vehicle stopped to work without any warning or apparent reason. Now the gear shift is stuck at Park position and the vehicle will not start asking the driver to move the gear selector to Park position. It will not also take any charge (it's Lightning, an EV). There is Transmission problems with the 2009 Nissan. The car shakes/ Vibrates when idle, when sitting to long at a light the idle engine delays the gas pedal from going forward, having to accelerate the gas pedal till it jumps to proceed to move forward, The liquid is up to date however the car can’t move backwards in reverse but can move forward.

Yes it was, so we purchased 3 new Goodyear tires, the same ones that was replaced from flat. The Goodyer guy told us to send the tire to Goodyear, because it felt it was defected. Maybe they would pay the over $5000.00 to repair our car. He told me that they have had a lot of problems with that tire. Goodyear sent a certified letter to us stating " Tire condition occured as a result of substantial impact causing overdeflection of the tire and fracture of sidewall rubber and/or fabric plies and/or liner material". Despite being told this code is "for the speed sensor because it saw a voltage drop from the battery system" the dealer claims there is nothing they can do because they can't recreate the problem. This is highly dangerous to my family and others as the safety features can prevent accidents. The most concerning is the car suddenly losing acceleration as this could potential happen where there is no safe way to get off the road in time prior to an accident. This loss of acceleration has been reported by many other people on the Facebook group I am a part of called Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Owners. I have received "High Voltage Battery Warnings" on 3 separate occasions (5/5/24, 5/9/24, 7/14/24), each time being told to stop the vehicle as soon as possible. ... be able to stop in a safe place. Furthermore, Ford has failed twice to fix the High Voltage battery issue, and the vehicle is currently at the dealer trying to resolve the issue for a third time. The fact that Ford does not know how to resolve this repeating issue is a large safety concern for two main reasons. First, as the high voltage battery is the main power unit for the propulsion system of the car, and with Ford clearly unaware of what or how to fix the issue, the car is at risk of stopping at any time or location. Second, the dealership working with Ford to fix the car mentioned that the repairs were taking a long time because Ford indicated that the High Voltage from the battery may be discharging into other components of the vehicle, e.g. frame, door panels, etc., and so they had to proceed with extreme caution. With Ford failing to resolve the issue at least two time, there may be a risk of very high electric current coming in contact with the driver or passengers in the vehicle.
