At 8:00 PM, driving 70 MPH on [XXX] from Dallas to Houston, Texas, multiple warning lights and messages illuminated on the dash. Other than a low fuel warning, there were no other warnings or messages at the time of the incident. I was driving in the left lane and had to make my way to the shoulder on the right of the highway. Fortunately, I came to a stop approximately two miles from the [XXX] exit for Centerville, Texas. It would have been extremely dangerous to remain on the shoulder, especially after sunset, so after reading the owner's manual, I decided to travel the shoulder at the very reduced speed my vehicle allowed. After exiting to a safe location and refueling, I called 24/7 Nissan roadside assistance at 8:50 PM. I was told a tow truck would arrive around 10:20 PM, and I would receive text messages with status updates. I called three more times, at 9:32, 11:28, and 11:54 PM. I never received a text message because no towing providers were ever located and dispatched to my location. On the final call at 11:54, I was told they would try again at 8:00 AM. Centerville, Texas is a small town with a population under 1,000 people. I was left stranded nearly 150 miles from home in a non-major metropolitan city without ample resources such as uber to take me to the nearest hotel. Furthermore, had I not called back, no one from Nissan was going to inform me that I would not receive a tow. Never notified me the part that was recalled was in fact broken when it was removed. Instead replaced it then told me my rear suspension, Structs, and say bar links are broken on both sides of my rear end which mechanically is attached to these coils which is the resulting damages of driving the vehicle for 40,000 miles with improper installed coils. I report this to Mopar when giving them the car, the rear end always bounced. I went through my first set of tires in less than 18,000 miles due to this. My Case managers name was mary, She was very Rude. Called me a liar more than once. They would not even call me to come pick my car up. When talking to the Customer service guy at jeep in morganttown. He said mary said fix only the parts and only what the exact recalled said. and they would not evaluate or do anything for my Front control arm and pinch bolt, they tighted it, I even submitted photos where they just tightened it submitted to mopar. Also asked for submission of buy back program due to value dropping more than 10,000 dollars in 3 weeks time, Attempted trade off for 38,000- owed 42,000 in Octor 2022. Nov price dropped to 32,000 trade in. Value now for trade in due to severity of mechanical issues is now down to less than 28,000, I said 55,000 dollars for this car. I have a 2.5% interest rate and did not carry over anything over MSRP on this Vehicle. I am unable to trade it. And the vehicle is barely drivable.Read more

Dealership removed and replaced all components damaged with leak. This problem started again Friday, 8/23/24. Did not resolve and got stronger. I took it to the dealership the next day, and they told me the transmission is failing and it would cost me $6200 to replace it. I asked if there was a recall on it, they said there was but my warranty expired. I thought the warranty was extended for another 10 years. Is this not the case? I'm confused by what I'm reading online. Is my dealership required to replace my transmission at no cost? All normal. Upon leaving Leland, same thing. No power at first, then it moved forward, normally. We noticed it was a rough shift at 45 mph as we got out on freeway. I called the service department at Hallmark Ford, Batesville, and told mgr. my problem. Thought it might be fuel pump, filter, or transmission. Upon arrival at home, it wouldn't go in reverse. I sent it to dealer on wrecker. Got second opinion. Both say it needs a new transmission at $8900. My concern is will the new transmission have same problems...reading now on internet of other people who have had similar events. With regular maintenance, at 138,000 miles my engine has a crack in the block and an inner oil leak that hadn't been previously detected during oil changes, which may have been a result of the check engine light that read camshaft issues just before it happened. All the other recalls and problems these kia engines have had I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.
