I am reporting a safety defect involving my 2022 Nissan Rogue related to NHTSA Recall 25V437 (engine bearing failure). Prior to complete engine failure, I experienced multiple instances of sudden loss of power while driving at highway speeds, creating a serious safety hazard. In one instance, this nearly resulted in a multi-vehicle accident in heavy traffic. The vehicle also exhibited additional
... symptoms consistent with the recall, including engine shaking, knocking noises, rough riding and hard shifting, burning smell, and warning lights. Nissan performed the recall service, which consisted of reprogramming the Engine Control Module (ECM). However, this software update did not repair or replace the defective engine components. The vehicle’s condition worsened after the recall service. The engine ultimately failed completely at approximately 122,000 miles, shortly after the recall repair was completed. This indicates that the recall remedy is ineffective and does not adequately address the safety risk, as a software update cannot prevent or correct pre-existing mechanical failure of engine bearings. I am concerned that other vehicles with this defect remain at risk of sudden power loss and potential crashes despite having the recall performed.Read more

My vehicle stalled. I had to get someone to help me move it out if a busy traffic thoroughfare. It was making odd noises then was stuck in reverse only. I took it to my mechanic who informed me the transmission had failed and that I needed a new one. I work from home and do not drive my vehicle consistently.

During a traffic incident on March 26 2026 I was the driver of the 2023 Nissan Altima SL and I suffered unnecessary bodily injury due to the AEB system. I was in a forward collision, the warning indicator did not go off, and the AEB may have went off after the crash unnecessarily causing major damage to my right shoulder tearing one ligament partially, one ligament completely and tearing my rotato
... r cuff and needing reconstruction and two joints anchored. The impact of the AEB jolt went up my wrist and the force through my shoulder to cause that damage is inexplainable since I was at a complete stop and maybe only one car length away from the other car. I hit my face on the steering wheel. Airbags did not deploy. My son in the passenger seat suffered a concussion as did I. The only thing we can find that could cause this amount of damage is if the AEB decelerated after impact unnecessarily and the airbag did not deploy. That means our bodies were already moving through the impact of the crash only to have been thrust into a second unnecessarily intensely strong AEB jolt. Had the AEB not engaged, we would not have injuries. The warning system failed to activate as well. This system has gone off in error multiple times and the AEB had also engaged several previous times in error when backing out of my driveway. I did not know that it could be an error with the system until I started researching my injuries and learned that this is an issue with this model of Nissan.Read more

My 2022 Nissan Pathfinder was purchased new and now has 27150 miles. On April 9 2026, I was having my summer tires installed and was told by the tire shop that the rear brakes were worn out and needed replacement. I contacted the Nissan dealership who quoted a cost of $570 for brake replacement. There was no warning lamps or other symptoms but there is only 3mm of brake pad left. Per the dealers

The engine mounted high pressure fuel pump became loose and unseated because the engine-side mounting threads failed. The pump lifted off its mounting surface, the head of the engine, and oil came out around the top of the engine. This failure caused sudden loss of engine power and created a potential safety hazard because the vehicle could lose power unexpectedly in traffic and there was fluid le
... akage in the engine compartment near hot engine components. The problem was confirmed by a Nissan dealer. The dealer inspected the vehicle, documented the failed mounting area on the engine head, and submitted a goodwill warranty claim to Nissan, which was denied. Prior to the failure, there were no 18repairs or service in this area from the factory. Symptoms at the time of failure were loss of power and visible oil leakage from the top/right side of the engine. No warning lamps/messages prior to the mechanical failure. Vehicle had 60,845 miles at the time of failure.Read more

Good day, I am writing to formally raise and escalate a serious concern regarding the vehicle I recently purchased Autosource company. I purchased a car through auto source company that assists international professionals in leasing or purchasing vehicles in the United States. However, upon independently checking the vehicle’s VIN, it has come to my attention that the car has an unresolved saf
... ety recall involving the electric throttle body. This issue was not disclosed to us at any point during the purchasing process, which is very concerning. As this vehicle is intended for daily family use, including transporting my children, safety is our top priority. The presence of an unresolved recall raises significant concerns about the vehicle’s reliability and overall safety. Additionally, I have made multiple attempts to contact the assigned agent regarding this matter, but unfortunately, I have not received any response to my messages or emails. This lack of communication is deeply disappointing. Given that the vehicle is scheduled for delivery on [XXX] I respectfully request the following: Immediate clarification regarding the recall status Confirmation that all necessary repairs will be fully completed prior to delivery. Official documentation proving that the recall has been resolved. Assistance from a supervisor or appropriate representative to handle this escalation. Please treat this matter with urgency. I would appreciate a prompt response to ensure that this issue is resolved before the scheduled delivery date. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am reporting a potential unintended automatic emergency braking event involving a 2025 Tesla Cybertruck. On 23Mar2026, at approximately 40 mph, I was traveling behind a Tesla Cybertruck on a public roadway. There were no visible obstacles, hazards, or debris in the roadway that I observed. The Cybertruck suddenly and aggressively braked without warning. The abrupt deceleration appeared inconsi

After the impact, the Cybertruck initially left the scene, stating they were unaware a collision had occurred. No debris or roadway hazard was documented at the scene in the police report (FVPD report #2026-00777). The other driver later indicated a plastic bag may have triggered the vehicle’s emergency braking system. I opened the trunk with the button on the dash and while the hatch was open a few minutes i heard a loud pop and realized the rear glass blew out and shards of glass came rolling down from the upper right hand side of the rear window and it had also spider cracked throughout the window. This happened at night 10:30 pm it was 42 degrees and light rain. I had just driven the truck for a half hour
... before and there was no warning lights or sounds prior. The vehicle was stopped and off and all that proceeded the spontaneous explosion was me opening the trunk and within 3 minutes of opening the trunk the glass exploded on its own. I never had a problem before this event and never had it checked out by the dealership or mechanic as I was unaware this was a common issue and had to find out after this happened. I had taken this car several times for several recalls but was never informed of any recalls or issues regarding the rear glass spontaneously blowing out. This is a serious issue and a safety issue and would like answers as to why this wasn't brought to my attention or part of the previous recalls even though it's been a known issue for this make and model for some time.Read more

I am reporting a recurring defect involving the sunroof drain system in my 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum that has caused multiple interior flooding incidents. This issue has been addressed by a Nissan dealership on multiple occasions; however, the defect has not been permanently resolved and continues to reoccur. The repeated failure of the drainage system indicates a potential design or manufacturing defect rather than normal wear or maintenance-related issues. Water intrusion into the cabin creates safety concerns including: Potential damage to electrical components Risk of mold and air quality issues inside the vehicle Driver distraction and reduced vehicle reliability Despite multiple repair attempts, the issue persists. Nissan has declined further assistance due to the vehicle being outside of the warranty period, even though the defect is ongoing and unresolved. I am submitting this complaint to document a potential systemic issue with the sunroof drainage system that may affect other vehicles of the same model.Read more

My 2022 Nissan Rogue experienced a sudden engine failure related to an active recall. The vehicle became undrivable and was taken to the dealership. Nissan has only offered rental reimbursement, requiring out-of-pocket payment, and has not provided a loaner or direct rental despite the recall-related failure. My infant daughter became stuck in the rear seat due to a seat belt malfunction in my Nissan Ariya Evolve+. The seat belt buckle would not release even after repeated attempts to press the release button. We tried multiple times to unbuckle it normally, but it remained stuck and would not open. This created a serious safety situation, as my child was trapped and unable to be freed. Due to the em
... ergency, we had no option but to cut the seat belt in order to safely remove our child. This is extremely concerning because seat belts are a critical safety feature, and failure to release can pose a serious risk, especially in emergencies where immediate evacuation is required. The vehicle has since been taken to a Nissan service center, but they are claiming this is not a defect and are charging approximately $1000 for repair. I am reporting this issue because a seat belt that fails to release is a major safety hazard, particularly involving a child occupant. This issue could potentially affect other vehicles and should be investigated.Read more
