When driving on the interstate highway with about 70 mph a warning message “Service hybrid electric vehicle system” appeared. The high voltage battery charging level was less than 1%. About 30 minutes later, after exiting the highway, another warning message was displayed: “Stop Safely Vehicle will shut off soon”. ... ling. There was no propulsion power anymore, and I was only able to roll into the entrance of a parking lot. Luckily it was a relatively safe location where the vehicle came to a stop. I was alone in the car and was not in direct danger. The vehicle could not be restarted. I called a towing service, and the car was transported to a Chrysler dealership. The fault codes were read out. Chrysler Star recommended to replace a 350 A fuse. The dealership service team drove the car for more than 70 miles without being able to reproduce the fault after this repair. One day after collecting the car from the dealership I drove about 300 miles on the highway. After about 250 miles the warning message “Service hybrid electric vehicle system“ appeared. The high voltage battery charging level was less than 1%. When driving on the highway with about 55 mph, about 150 miles after the warning message appeared, the motive power stopped inadvertently without any warning. I felt a short impulse on the gas pedal, then while rolling at below 50 mph the message “Switch P to start engine“ was displayed. I managed to roll out from the 3rd lane from the right to the emergency stopping lane. It was a dangerous maneuver and I feared for the safety of my five family members traveling with me in the car as the oncoming traffic behind my car didn’t slow down even after switching on the hazard lights. My 2007 Lincoln MKX was in Drive with the brake depressed waiting to back up into a traffic lane from an angled parking space in front of a small shop in our historic downtown area. Suddenly, the vehicle accelerated forward at a high rate of speed jumping the shallow curb and slamming into the cement foundation of the store. The speed moving forward was so high that in the 10-12 feet from the curb to the store entrance the impact demolished the entire front of the vehicle even bending the front axels. The airbags did not deploy at all. The witness interviewed, reported loud screeching tires as her back was to the scene during the collision. Local PD, EMS and Fire all responded, with a full police report filed. It was extremely fortunate no person was either on the sidewalk or in the entrance to the storefront. My injuries included severe bruising to the right side of my neck, as well as a hematoma on my right tibia and an oblique fracture to bones in my right foot. There were no passengers in the car with me. The accident, and extreme concern over the malfunction of the vehicle allowing it to take control away from myself as the driver, has been reported to Ford Lincoln and a claim number established. My insurance company took possession of the vehicle from the tow lot after three days after determining it was a total loss. To reiterate, there was no warning at all before the incident. I was simply waiting for traffic to clear, so I could put the vehicle from Drive into Reverse and pull out of the parking space.Read more

We have tried the resets, which don't work. We only use good-grade gasoline.

I only caught what may have been a part of a warning message on the dash that I believe said "connected" after the first incident. The truck has been at the West Richmond, VA Ford dealership for the past 10 days and they have not been able to diagnose the problem. This is a very dangerous situation and I can't drive the vehicle until a fix has been found and implemented. The NHTSA issued a report on a similar situation back in April of this year (24V267000) so it appears like Ford has not provided their dealers with a satisfactory answer to this problem. My truck did not exhibit an electrical shutdown or flash numerous trouble codes or the check engine light. The engine simply shuts off for no apparent reason. ABS pump motor control and anti-lock brake hydraulic unit is out again. first time replaced at dealer on 12/27/2019 second time8/10/2022 and now ABS light flashing again for about 3 weeks now with code c0020-01. This should be a recall it is very dangerous to be hauling heavy equipment with this reoccurring problem approximately every 20,000 miles or so.

The ABS deployment was obviously unexpected and caused the vehicle to shake abruptly and kept the vehicle from coming to a stop as quickly ad it should have. There seems to be an issue with the ABS system and is causing dangerous situations on the roadway.

When driving (at any speed) car error message comes up that says "Hybryd system warning safely stop and do not drive" then when that light goes out a new warning comes up that says "check brake" at this time the car will slow itself down until the car stops completely - even if you have your foot all the way on the gas pedal. There's no pattern to when it happens, it can happen on any drive at any
... time. When this happens all I can do is turn the car off and wait to restart car to keep driving. The front brakes have replaced, the back brakes and rotors have been replaced and the brake pump was replaced but, the problem persists. Primarily this is a safety issue if I'm on the highway, or anywhere I can't really pull over. A perfect example of this is on 8/31/2024 my son received a warning citation for "Improper Stopping" the remarks on the citation say " was parked on side of roadway due to car not wanting to accelerate but, could not move outside of the roadway". Basically the car slowed down but, completely shut down in an area that wasn't safe to be parked or sitting. It's dangerous for me and any other driver on the road that's behind me or on either side of me. After researching online it seems this is a common issue that Hyundai has not figured out yet. Other consumers have spent thousands on repairs thru Hyundai and still have not resolved the issue. Please help me figure this out.Read more

The car is not starting properly, it takes a couple of tries to start, and the instrument panel lights come on. It appears that the Honda dealership in Doylestown PA does not have the part needed to repair my car and my safety is at risk and I don't feel comfortable driving the car.
