... I purchased the vehicle and I was advised to contact Nissan Consumer. The vehicle is not drivable and I was advised to have it towed to a dealership, where it has been for a month now. The inspector went to the dealership over two weeks ago. I was told I would receive an a call regarding the results to determine if Nissan was at fault ( this makes no sense since there’s an open recall and the tie rod is bent/broken). I’ve yet to hear from Nissan Consumer with the results. I’ve left 2 messages and no one has returned my call. The dealership is charging a daily storage fee, car/insurance payments are being made on a vehicle that’s not in my possession. My daughter has to pay for Uber rides for her classes at the school where she has to do observations for her degree. She has to pay for grocery delivery. Additionally, my daughter is a recent kidney transplant recipient. She has doctors appointments she must attend. Without a vehicle, I have to go to a different city to pick her up, take her to the appointment and bring her back. Which means I have to take off from work ( loss wages/ or use vacation time) which I shouldn’t have to, until this issue is rectified. I understand the protocol and we’re not the only consumers with issue, but over a month is ridiculous.Read more

Due to the plastic brake, gas line, and evap line being exposed to road hazards, it's allowed direct contact with road debris, in which I encountered in my 2024 Honda Accord EX Turbo. The Honda engineering team should have known, reasonably expected leaving such thin plastic pipes exposed under the undercarriage of the car would most likely result in costly repairs in which they would, therefore, deny any responsibility for damages occurring. The local Honda dealership can't repair these damaged pipes due to liability issues. The pipes can't be coupled together, so the entire length of these pipes must be replaced at a cost of $7,035.52. American Honda has calculated the repair time and charges for any necessary work need, these charges are universal throughout all Honda dealerships in the United States. Due to car being under warranty one is unable to seek repairs elsewhere without violating the the 3 year/ 36000 factory warranty for other covered parts. Having to report and claim such damages on my auto insurance policy shouldn't be an option. An insurance company shouldn't have to pay to replace damaged fuel and brake lines due to the poor engineering of an auto manufacturer. The financial burden on owners is significant, and having such issues as this increases all our insurance costs. This could have resulted in me losing brakes and fire starting as both exposed fluid lines run parallel to the exhaust and have no cover/ guard to aid in protection. ... ng that the ABS System may be malfunctioning. When the alert warning/indicator lights appear, the alert states on the dashboard "Warning" "System Fault" "See Owners Manual" . The system generated email states "Your vehicle's antilock braking system may require service". We only received one notification from the vehicle related to the 9/12/24 alert.On 9/19/24 the dealership could not replicate or find a code related to the ABS System Fault and we were encouraged to bring the vehicle back if it happened again so they could run the code.The dealership would take the vehicle for a longer drive on 9/20/24 to try to replicate the issue. At this point, we filed a complaint with the manufacturer, and have not heard directly from the dealership if they have been able to replicate the warning. The concern for safety is that since the vehicle alerting that the ABS system may be require attention, there may be other electrical issues with the vehicle, along with braking issue concern. There was one occasion on 1/21/2024 with a system error message stating "warning when Parked apply parking brake" the vehicle had just been turned on and put in reverse. There is a large safety concern as this vehicle has had other safety issues including a half latch (where the doors would not open from inside or outside, requiring exiting through alternate door, a parking pawl recall, and transmission issues that we've brought forward in our formal complaint to the manufacturer. Including "Tow" alarm notifications to strengthen the safety concern of electrical issues with this vehicle.Read more

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Concentration from what used to be GMs in house engineering school. (GMI/Kettering) To say I'm intimately familiar with how this should work is an understatement. Also, the manual slider control should just provide requested power to brakes, bypassing any BXM/TCM interlocks. In aviation, if I use a backup brake it bypasses antiskid, anything else. Towing a 21,000 pound trailer in the Mountains when this thing decides to not work is sketchy. It will eventually cause an accident given that it's a widespread issue known to people but magically no recall. If this was an Airbus 321 or Boeing 737 we'd have an Airworthiness Directive at a minimum.Read more

We were told from Tulsa Hyundai that our car was involved in a massive recall due to engine failure and that the warranty had been extended to 150,000 miles on Theta engines. They told us we had to follow the process in order to have a claim submitted to Hyundai corporate. They required us to pay for a valve gasket replacement and a valve cover gasket ($1000), then to take the car home and drive f
... or 1000 miles and then bring it back in. We brought it back in and were required to pay for a combustion cleaning (around $800) and then take it home and drive it for 1000 miles. We brought it back in and they performed the oil consumption test. They then submitted the claim to Hyundai and we heard back the next day (9/18/2024) that they were denying they claim due to it being an issue with piston rings instead of rod bearing failure. I called Hyundai and they basically said there was nothing else they would do. They told us we could be reimbursed for the $1800 we had to spend to go through that process. Those fees were incurred were not necessary, especially when Hyundai is not going to replace the engine. Hyundai markets on their dealer websites, "engines for life", yet they will do nothing to replace our engine that is in failure.Read more

This Vehicle was bought back in Jun of this year. Since purchasing the vehicle with only 49,933 miles this Sentra has broken down 4 times, been in the shop for 1Month 2weeks consecutively. The first incident was 4.5 hrs after purchase. The Passenger side Tide Rod snapped in half on the highway causing the jam and slow down along with leaving me in fear for my life. ... acing the driver. The second time happened to be the same issue but at a different dealership. The car went to Moss Bros San Bernardino where it was bought and was there for about 25days .Later it was sent to Nissan of San Bernardino and was there for 2weeks. The same day It got picked up from Nissan it was taken back the same day. Had same Bumpy and shaking throughout the car. When the tie rod snapped in half it had destroyed the durability of the belt and pulley systems as the vehicle weight was slammed abruptly onto the passenger side of the car leaving it slanted and slid for 2-3 mins on the freeway this caused the engine to become weak which led up to the defective parts breaking over time of driving regularly. The Alternator Pulley, Serpentine Belt, Axle, and balance to become uneven. So as of 09/10 this vehicle has broke down 4-5 times. Been in the shop since. The vehicle has Powertrain warranty but as usual they denied coverage. Total cost is around $2,700 in damages due to the original recall. This Tie rod recall has destroyed the vehicle. Congratulation to me cause I still owe 22K. This hazardous, and dangerous vehicle has also been deemed unsafe by CHP as of 06/11/2024. This particularly Sentra is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode on the freeway.Read more

Update to claim #11614644. Car was inspected by Auto Lenders in Lakewood, NJ. Vacuum pump failed and cam shaft has to be replaced, was told the engine **SHOULD* be salvageable. They won't know until they start taking it apart. Was told it will take 12 hrs for each part at $180 an hr. Damage is estimated at $4500. Car is currently under an extended warranty, we are waiting to hear if the warranty w

Windshield wipers turn on randomly and will not stay on when switch is on, also sprays washer fluid on windshield randomly and wipers do not work making it a very dangerous driving hazard
