They even gave me a name and address for a shop they normally recommend Tesla customers go to in order to get the work done. Tesla admits knowing of the engineering mistake and refuses to replace the camber part or the tires. I asked the service department why this issue was not addressed at the time of sale, they claim they can’t control what the sales people do are refrain from doing. This should be a recall on all Tesla Model Y Performance models. As a consumer I should not have to pay $1,550 to rectify their engineering mistake.Read more

I have a single-owner 2011 automatic-transmission Subaru Forester [145k miles]. In a parking lot, I started the car as usual and shifted into reverse. I immediately noticed another car was approaching behind me and reflexively pushed on the brake to give the oncoming vehicle the right of way. As I pushed on the brake, the car suddenly and without warning surged backwards as the engine revved and "
... stuck" at a high rpm level. Surprised by the sudden loss of control and to stop the lunge backwards, I immediately released the brake pedal and shifted into neutral. I believe this reflexive action was solely attributable to my long history driving manual transmissions which "teaches" your brain that as an alternative to using the brake you can clutch [or if necessary "pop"] to neutral to disengage the engine from the wheels to control the vehicle. People without manual transmission experience would probably keep pressing the brake as their only option to regain control. The car stopped but the engine continued to rev at high rpms for a few moments then returned to normal rpms. No damages. This has never happened before and I was unable to duplicate the sequence of events which I tried to do immediately after the incident. I thought the gas pedal might be mechanically compromised ... for example by the floor mat ... but found no evidence of that. They indicated they knew there was an issue with the motor and replaced it; however it took us 4 calls to FMC to get this acknowledgement and assistance. The first three times we called we were told that there was no known issue and it was our problem. Now that the replacement motor is doing the same thing, approximately 2 years/ 50,000 miles later we are in the same situation. Current calls to FMC indicate it is our problem even though the replacement motor is under warranty. Problem has been inspected by Ford dealership service center in addition to a private certified service center, AAA Auto Group. Check engine light appeared both times at the time of breakdown, not any period of time before. All of our documentation is sitting with the vehicle at a Ford dealership at the moment. If this is an issue we can continue wiht NHTSA we will get the service records uploaded ASAP.Read more

I called Nissan consumer affairs case # [XXX] and complained and said " How is this not water proofed as if water can get in this area cause the car to be immobile. stuck in park. I awaited a tow truck from AAA at [XXX] [XXX]... This complaint or defect is serious! I was so scared. But the police surrounded my car from traffic within 3 minutes.. on [XXX], Long Island. This ability for water to go through the shifter and cause this issue is an absolute manufacturers defect and needs to be address to this shifter design. It is the newer style shifter with only forward neutral and park button. this should be a sealed area as the cup holders are 2 inches away from the shifter. I think the issue started 2 years ago and corroded the electronics as nothing has spilt in this area ever! I don't even remember spilling anything in 2022. The sliding door locks/actuators on the rear sliding doors do not engage allowing the doors to open even when the doors are locked leaving the risk of the doors opening while the vehicle is moving or allowing someone to break into the vehicle since the doors won't lock and can be opened, even when the rest of the doors on the vehicle are locked.

Very disappointed with this purchase as I paid over 50k for the vehicle brand new and don’t feel safe in the car as it bucks on acceleration and lacks the power to flow with traffic.
