This is the fourth time this has happened to us during normal driving. I pulled out onto a highway and suddenly with no prior warning, the car lost all power and went into what I can only describe as a "limp mode" and wouldn't go above 5 mph. They said they could not recreate the issue even though I showed them video of the dashboard acting strangely. The service manager said he believed something had blocked the front bumper sensor and that it should be fine now. We have already performed both software updated recalls and since then, it has happened to us twice more. The battery was at around 80%, had just been driven by my wife for around 30 min with no issues, was turned off in the driveway for about 15 min and then we left again. Have had this car for over a year and have been dealing with it constantly going into limp mode randomly throughout the day, usually when driving in stop and go traffic. Transmission fluid has been flushed and replaced more then once since owning the car. On bad days, my car has gone into limp mode up to 6 times in one day. I've read this is a common problem with this year and model of car yet there is no recall for the CVT or cooling system for the transmission fluid. Mechanics can't seem to figure out a solution and I'm stuck with a car that has almost caused me to be in multiple accidents due to the hesitation/lag randomly when accelerating. Initially it was determined to be the Starting Battery. My concern was it to ba a Compiter or Power drain problem. Several batteries and Dealership visits didn't solve it. I moved to SC in May 2022. These problems continued there, where Cox Ford of Southern Pines took over. After more Service visits the only answer was a BAD BATTERY. Recently, after returning from Vacation and having to jump start the vehicle two times, I had several conversations with the service department. Finally a new Service writer found some information. A Technical Service Bulletin described how in this vehicle, how under seat wiring for the automatic seats, were becoming frayed and shorting on metal rails.(182025A). Also another for Battery Drain (SSM 50250). My Automotive background (which I no longer do) Tells me that electric seat wiring, grounding against seat rails could cause the Battery to be Draining. ... und, the car sped up again at high speed, did a 180 degree turn in reverse and hit two additional parked cars. Luckily, no one was hurt. I am 100% certain that I did not depress the accelerator pedal to cause the car to go at that speed in reverse twice! We contacted General Motors which supposedly had their engineers look at the mechanicals of the car but the only information we received from them is that the car did accelerate both times at 99% of capacity. The air bags did not deploy so the crash computer did not activiate. GM either did not examine the soft ware on the car, or, if they did, that information was not shared with us. I bought this truck in Colorado and in the dry cold of Colorado I had no issues like this but the moment i had my first winter in a more humid environment and it dropped to 20 degrees Fahrenheit the system failed such as the fact that im in Texas now. being a sealed system no air is able to vent out unless triggered buy certain modes so my ride just leveled out to normal drive mode but will not engage the compressor properly. I'm currently in college though just starting for diesel engines even my instructor is stumped. this system to me doesn't make sense and its failing from what I gathered in more humid cold environments not so much dryer cold, and popping the fuses by trying to pull more power to dry the system that supposedly isn't getting moister in it. so this system is clearly flawed and doesn't make seance plus it also truly depends on how and where the company tested the product. in the end my suspension triggered the red code of immediate air suspension repair/replacement and no longer works properly this is almost a 500 dollar fix that many have to do every winter including me. some may have to pay more for those who cant do it themselves. please investigate the compression and dryer system in higher humidity and extreme cold based environment and if im right im right if im wrong im wrong. i just want answers and the problem fixed since this issue has been going since 2013 to now.Read more

At times almost dies. A/C unit stuck on "hot" delivering 92 degree air when outside 72 degrees. Temp set at Low. (No A/C just trying to get fresh outside air in). Vehicle was under recall and control modules "reflashed" before purchased (new). Dealer reflashed which did not solve problems. Dealer cannot duplicate (but they only spend a little time looking at the issue). Has been in shop off/on for about 2 weeks attempting to resolve. My 2019 Tesla Model 3 (RWD) began alerting error messages on the primary dashboard screen saying "Steering assist reduced. Steering may require increased effort." and "Lane Departure Avoidance features unavailable", followed by the power steering going out completely. ... st caused a collision with other cars. The error goes away after parking the car and powering it off and on again, but reappears after driving short distances (anywhere from 5 to 30 miles). With the error on the screen, sometimes the power steering appears to work without increased effort (but with Lane Departure Avoidance unavailable), but other times the power steering is completely disabled. I received no warnings or alerts prior to the error messages and behavior I described above. I scheduled an appointment with Tesla Service (Plano-Lexington Drive-Service 300 Lexington Dr Plano, TX 75075) through the Tesla app, and after it was accepted, the app asked me to approve a repair estimate of almost $3000 to "remove and replace the steering rack". The replacement item is listed as "STEERING GEAR - LEFT HAND DRIVE (1188832-00-B)" with a unit price of 2,260.00. I contacted Tesla Service and asked if they would just do a diagnosis first to inspect the car, and they agreed and reduced the estimate to just a $215 diagnosis. The morning of my appointment (Jan 17th, 2025), Tesla Service sent me another new invoice for $3,176.36 for a complete steering rack replacement. When I arrived at the service center, the tech said they inspected the logs remotely, and found the steering rack was failing and needed a complete replacement, before even looking at the car in person.Read more

The sunroof glass violently shattered/exploded while driving the vehicle. The manufacturer claims the window meets current standards and is not defective. The curtain or fabric cover was extended covering the glass panel otherwise the driver would have been covered with broken glass.
