Hi - I'm filing a complaint against Chevrolet with the NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation. I purchased a brand new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado in Dec of 2024 from a dealership in MA. I've had the truck for only 2 months and only a couple thousand miles. I was in Quebec with my family for a ski vacation and we were driving back on [XXX} when my truck suddenly started making loud engine noises.

After 22,207 mi, the right rear wheel unit started making a clunking similar to a flat tire. I looked online and found TSB 22-2023 which states that a common problem with the Mach E one pedal driving is brake pad material gets fused to the rotor. I took it in for repair and the brakes are out of warranty after 18000mi. Average life of brake rotors FOR CARS THAT USE THEIR BRAKES is 30,000-70,000mi.

CRUISE CONTROL SURGING VEHICLE BEYOND INITIAL SET LIMIT. I recently purchased my 2022 Nissan frontier 4x4 crewcab from a Texas dealership. I found that very unsafe and that my nissan frontier is not the only one that experiences this behavior. The internet has had a few reports/complaints on this very issue. According to some of these owners, there's a software update to address this issues. However, some dealerships will charge for this software update if your vehicle has gone past the 36k warranty date to the sum of $600 plus out of pocket. Within a week, the vehicle displayed multiple braking system failure warnings, including “Braking system failure,” “Service Stabilitrak,” and “Brake assist failure.” One-pedal driving also became unavailable. However, about a week later, the same critical brake failure occurred again. The car would not brake, forcing me to request another tow back to Honda Carland. This time, the dealership claimed the issue was due to a faulty brake master unit, which they replaced—a far more serious defect than initially diagnosed. Given the life-threatening nature of repeated total brake failure, I refused to drive the vehicle and attempted to return it. In researching this issue, I have found similar complaints in online searches, including the NHTSA database, suggesting that this may be a much broader issue affecting Honda Prologue vehicles manufactured in 2024. This is not a minor issue—it is a safety hazard that puts my life and the lives of others at risk. I have read literally hundreds of complaints from Kick's owners stating that their dealerships either: Say that it is a known issue without a solution. Say they have been provided a guide to find the solution. Say they know what needs to be done to correct the problem. In every single instance, when the kicks owner agrees to have repairs/part replacements done, the problem returns. Often, the very next day. The lack of a proven fix for this problem is so wide spread that many people, myself included, are not letting the dealerships make the suggested repairs/ replacements because the cost of allowing what is essentially useless troubleshooting is very high. Typical "solutions" are to change the battery, replace the ABS module, clean or replace the mass air flow sensor, clean front or rear collision sensors, replace throttle body, replace throttle body gasket..... Because this problem is VERY well known in owner, dealer, mechanic, reddit etc forums, affects thousands of vehicles and relates to critical safety components, I believe an investigation, recall is warranted. There is no way to be sure the anti-lock or emergency braking system will work when needed. How is this allowable? ... Neutral. My Q5 was chain dragged onto a flatbed and taken to Audi for service. Audi confirmed the gateway control module failed, stating the component needed to be replaced. The part was back-ordered and would take 7-10 business days. After nearly 8 weeks with no part, on April 2, 2024 the Q5 and repair were transferred to the Audi dealer I purchased the Q5 from. The part was listed as “high priority”, the Q5 was not drivable. April, May, June and July passed, no part. Audi service continued to claim the part was being made in Germany. Each month I was told the part would arrive, it never did. In August 2024, I contacted VW America (Audi’s parent company), to request a buyback. Six months had passed, there was no sign of the part. VW America requested the repair order, purchase agreement, warranty info and registration. On [XXX], I submitted a buyback request with all documents. On [XXX], VW of America refused to settle, and suggested I initiate a case with the Better Business Bureau. BBB determined the Q5 was eligible and opened a claim. I uploaded all requested documents to the BBB case. Audi did not respond. The case was set to go to arbitration, then BBB suddenly determined the Q5 was not eligible; it was over three years old, it had been over three when the case was opened. Nearly 10 months after the Q5 stopped working, I contacted the dealer, asking them to intervene. Audi refused to admit it could not make the part. Their solution, buy a new car.
