I own a 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite with 39,000 miles on it. In January 2026, suddenly I had multiple warning lights on in my minivan related to an ADAS system failure. I replaced the car battery and later determined that the ADAS camera had failed in the car. In reading online, this is a very common issue with Hondas as the cameras are known to overheat and require replacement. Warning lights:

Luckily my wife was able to get the car safely moved out of traffic and we stopped driving the car at that point. I wound up replacing the camera and and needing to get it recalibrated so that the car could be drivable. This resulted in the van not being operable for nearly a month. For a car that had 39,000 miles on it, this really should be something under a longer warranty as it could have created an unsafe driving condition for my family. The brakes were stiff and hard to press. The vehicle still did not stop properly and came to a stop in the middle of the road past the stop sign. After arriving at my destination, the vehicle sat for approximately 1–2 hours. When restarted, the brakes appeared normal again, but the check engine light remained on. In the MyChevrolet diagnostics app, it then showed warnings for Engine and Transmission System, Transmission System, and Four Wheel Drive System. While driving to the dealership afterward, the vehicle also began shaking. This same issue previously occurred on April 16, 2026. I was driving on the interstate when the brakes lost assist and the dash displayed “Service ESC,” “Brake Assist Failure Press Hard to Brake,” and “Speed Limited.” After reaching my destination, I was told by someone at the dealership to turn the vehicle off for 10 minutes to see if that would fix things, so I turned the vehicle off for about 10 minutes. The passenger side roof is leaking water. It’s leaks through the roof and through the headliner. The water leaks onto the passenger curtain airbag before it leaks onto the headliner. This creates an inconsistent lighting signature and may not meet federal lighting performance and visibility expectations. Replaced the battery as I was told the errors were pointing back to low voltage. After battery was replaced, maybe three weeks later the vehicle did the same thing on the highway again. Car speed kept increasing on its own, no cruise control or pedal input. Vehicle kept speeding. I took this vehicle to Moon Township, PA Nissan Cochran dealership and they could not replicate the issue. I have video proof the first time this happened where the vehicle kept increasing in speed without pedal input. I have two kids under the age of [XXX] , This is an unsafe vehicle and it has lost my trust completely. The extended warranty company for this vehicle said they can’t do anything since the dealership says no check engine light is on. Third incident- got into vehicle, turned the vehicle on and the parking brake would not release. The parking brake was never applied in the first place so I have no clue how or why it was on when I turned the vehicle on. I just recently called the dealership on this issue now (Moon Township, Nissan Cochran) and will see what they say. Again, no check engine light is present. They diagnosed the issue as a failure of the occupant classification sensor and seat pad, and noted that recalibration was attempted. The recalibration did not resolve the problem, and the airbag warning light remains on. I have not yet taken the vehicle to a Nissan dealership for diagnosis. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The symptoms closely match two active Ford recalls — 26S10 (EGR valve failure causing unexpected loss of drive power, stated by Ford to be most likely at speeds under 13 mph) and 25V-239 (PCM reset causing temporary loss of acceleration). My vehicle is not currently listed as included in either recall per Ford’s VIN lookup. Numerous owner reports on public Ford Ranger forums describe identical symptoms on 2024 and 2025 Ranger trucks, many of which are also not covered by the existing recalls and for which dealers have been unable to find stored codes. A sudden, unannounced loss of drive power at low speed on an incline or while turning into traffic represents a clear crash risk. Driver's side (left) rear trailing arm broke away from the rear subframe mount due to excessive rust and corrosion. In addition to the failed trailing arm mount location, the mount to the body in the same location also rusted through.
