... mage is to bad for mechanics to risk removing the bolts. Yes, the car is available for inspection. This dealership endangered my life, the lives of my loved ones and other drivers on the road with us by allowing us to drive a car with a damaged frame with could have caused a major accident. I took the car to my mechanic and the dealership's mechanic of choice and both said the car is unsafe to drive. The car was inspected by the Peachtree Mitsubishi Service Center and for whatever their reason may be, they told us the car was in great condition. After driving the car for a couple of weeks, we noticed the fumes and a knocking noise under the car. Also, the check engine light was on and the Peachtree Mitsubishi Service Center said it was the tire pressure. Despite my attempts to resolve this matter with the dealership directly, they have refused to take responsibility for their actions. I believe their practices violate consumer protection laws and pose a significant risk to public safety.Read more

I recently acquired this 2006 Chevy Malibu that belonged to my parents. It only has 29K miles on it to date. It is mint inside and out, and has been well taken care of in regard to routine maintenance. Looking through repair records I see a pattern of various power steering issues with this vehicle. The car was purchased new in 8/2006, then in 4/2009 the power steering shaft had to be replaced at
... the dealership. The recall in 2014 was also power steering related and was repaired at the dealership. Fast forward to the present. This vehicle now had the electronic power steering module fail - causing the steering to not work - making the car not drivable. I had it towed to a mechanic who performed an inspection and noted the electronic power steering module needed to be replaced. After 2 weeks, they confirmed no parts were available and it was best to try and deal with GM directly. I opened a case with them #9-14673786524 regarding this part and they would only work with a certified dealer so it was towed to the original dealer it was purchased at that has all of these repair records on file. As of today, it has been sitting at the dealership since 2/28 waiting on this part with no ETA in site. I feel GM should have included this with the other recall. It's pretty obvious the power steering in this year and model has serious failure issues. Had it been getting driven more - it most likely may have failed a lot sooner while it was being driving on the road - and who knows what sort of accident this may have caused. GM doesn't seem to see it that way and keeps telling me the vehicle is old - There are plenty of old vehicles on the road - so I think it's irrelevant to keep bringing up the age when the poor power steering is the issue at hand. I want to have the vehicle fixed and I think GM should be held accountable for everything. Please help because nobody is helping me at all at this point.Read more

Two weeks I had my model Y serviced for shaking of the car and steering wheel. They deemed the cause of the shaking due to unalignment of the wheels and they claimed to have fixed the issue. When I went to check two large approximately 3 inch bolts were on the ground but no nuts in sight and my control arm broke the bottom plate and was completely unattached from the car. Thankfully the bolts came off while in a parking lot and not 20 minutes prior when I was driving on a windy road. Within 24hours Tesla contacted me saying my car was ready for pickup without any explanation of why the bolts came off, No full inspection completed for other issues and no alignment of the tires. Under the Tesla mechanic notes they only reinstalled the bolts and tightened the front wheels and not the back. Upon further research online I have found numerous other people complaining of the same issue of the bolts for the control arm falling off on Model Y and 3 Teslas due to forgetting to weld the bolt nuts to the sub frame.Read more

On 3/1/2025, while driving, my vehicle became unresponsive and inoperable . My vehicle stopped at the intersection in a turn lane. The vehicle engine turned off and a check engine light turned on in the dashboard. There were no sounds or indicators prior to the event. All of the controls became inoperable and unresponsive. When I tried to restart the vehicle it would not turn over. I was unable to
... shift the vehicle out of park. The dash board showed the message “Conditions Not Correct for Shift”. I tried several different corrective actions and referred to the owners manual but I was unable to do anything. The owners manual didn’t specify how to shift the vehicle when it is not running. I had to call a tow truck because we were in the intersection and it presented a concern for safety for ourselves and others the tow truck tried resetting the vehicle, jumping it, and looked for the manual shift override but were unsuccessful. They pulled my truck onto the tow truck and took it to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. When we arrived at the dealership the tow truck driver consulted with the dealership personnel and were still unable to determine any cause or how to manually shift the vehicle into neutral. My truck has the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine with only 15466 miles. The dealer confirmed engine failure and is in the process of ordering a new engine. There is no known ETA for the engine because it has become a national issue. I have also read multiple encounters of other owners have multiple engines fail and replaced.Read more

The antifreeze that was filled up the day before was completely empty. He could tell what the issue was. I called the dealership. Was initially told it would cost $10k-$12k to replace engine. Talked to several managers at the dealership. Called Lincoln Concierge. There was no recall for my vin. The design of my long block with the 2.0 Ecoboost was the same design as the vehicles recalled in 2017-2019. After a second call to Lincoln concierge, was told the vin specifics are based on the plants where the vehicles are made. I did get the MKC to the Ford dealership to do an official diagnosis and it was confirmed that there was coolant intrusion. This has been very disheartening. I'm not understanding why, if the engine is the same design flaw, there is no recall or assistance.Read more

Both dealers added that they had never even heard of this happening before, so they referred me to contact Hyundai corp to open up a registered complaint. The response I got was the dealer was the one who makes the ultimate decision. she gave me a link to buy direct from Hyundai as soon as I stated I would make a complaint here. Then I asked her the same thing I asked both dealers, why are you denying this? This is a very common issue. I also added that if the truck behind us was struck by the antenna ripping off, I would be in court to sue them. I then added it will only be a matter of time before injuries or death from this occurs and that will end up with all of the complaints being used in court to force you to comply. I ended up finding a better deal from a Hyundai dealer than the one she gave me. I performed the repair myself. the repair cost me about 300 dollars. I also want to ad that when i used AI to ask how to tell if the antenna was defective, the explanation and pics were exactly identical to the pictures I took. as this was during warmer months I felt very happy a person on a motorcycle was not hit. If this had occurred in high-speed traffic, it could have led to a crash, endangering my safety and that of others on the road. •Reproduction of Issue: The issue has not been reproduced yet, but it is an ongoing concern. I have not received a resolution from Tesla at this time. •Inspection by Authorities: The vehicle has not yet been inspected by Tesla, law enforcement, or insurance representatives. However, I am willing to make it available for investigation. •Warning Signs: There were no prior warning signs before the failure. Therefore spite concerns for my safety I had to leave my vehicle in order to call for help. I walked about 30 ft in the pitch black on this highway dressed in dark clothing on a shoulder that was very narrow. There was a pickup truck coming my way who flashed his high beams in my face but did not stop to see if he could help. Actually I was grateful for this because it's a pretty secluded area and I was very frightened for my safety. I was able to get a connection about 30 ft away from the vehicle and called my husband who said he would be on his way. I walked back to the vehicle got in and tried to start it. The complaint is against Reading Truck Body, LLC regarding unresolved safety issues and property damages incurred because of the recall remedy work (NHTSA Campaign Number 18E-021) performed on my 2017 Silverado 3500HD Crew Cab service truck by Reading Truck Body, LLC. In May 2020, I was notified by Reading Truck Body, LLC of a safety recall specific to the aluminum service body on my truck. Follow
... ing the initial remedy “patch” work done by the company, I was shocked to discover damages to the rear crossmember and compromising cracks in the welding of the body, as well as to the integrity and functionality of the wiring harnesses on my vehicle. Despite assurances that these damages would be addressed, I have been met with delays, unresponsiveness, and ultimately a subpar replacement body that does not meet the quality and craftsmanship of the original. The replacement body not only fails to match the size and finish of the original, but also poses serious safety risks due to missing bolts, faulty wiring harnesses, and overall poor construction. Despite my repeated attempts to seek resolution through the company’s Recall and Warranty departments, I have been met with dismissive treatment, unfounded accusations, and a refusal to address the issues at hand. This has not only caused financial loss and property damage but has also taken a toll on my emotional well-being and business operations. As a concerned customer, I am requesting your support to hold Reading Truck Body, LLC accountable for their actions in this complaint and fully remedy the recall. To do so, I request they replace the service body with one of equal quality, size, and finish as my original. Proper powder coating and meticulous craftsmanship are essential to restoring the value and integrity of my vehicle. I urge you to help rectify these issues promptly and help me ensure Reading Truck Body, LLC addresses the safety concerns outlined in my complaint. Supporting documentation attachedRead more
