AFTER A QUICK INSPECTION IT APPEARED THE CONTROL ARM BROKE. AFTER REMOVING THE TIRE, IT WAS EVIDENT THAT THE CROSS MEMBER HAD SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE DUE TO EXTREME CORROSION CAUSING THE LOSS OF CONTROL AND ABRUPT STOP. THIS IS THE EXACT PROBLEM I HAD TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE RECALL AND WAS TOLD MINE DID NOT NEED REPLACED. TAKATA RECALL. HAD ORIGINAL AIRBAG REPLACED 2 YRS AGO. RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MITSUBISHI STATING I NEEDED TO HAVE IT DONE AGAIN. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR MITSUBISHI WHEN I LEARNED THEY NO LONGER HAVE A MITSUBISHI DEALERSHIP LOCALLY. HOWEVER, THEY NEED TO HAVE CURRENT CERTIFICATION. I HAVE CALLED A FEW DEALERSHIPS IN THE AREA, BUT NO ONE HAS A CERTIFICATION FOR MITSUBISHI. I DIDN'T INSTALL THE BAD AIRBAGS.
