On July 12, 2024 I was driving down the highway when my sunroof suddenly shattered. It sounded like an explosion or a gun went off. I nearly crashed my vehicle. I put my truck up on a 2 post lift to change the brakes. But once the full truck weight was on the lift the frame started to crack i instantly put it on the ground and took a look and found that there was a crack through the middle of my frame on the side facing me Spanning from the back part where it starts to go up all the way to about the part of the frame under the middle of the drivers door.

I proceeded to feel in the previously mentioned hole and found some of the frame was paper thin other parts where about half the thickness of a good part of the frame. After this I took it into my local GM dealer to take a look at it they said that the frame is definitely in a very bad shape but it will hold but it will be an issue in the future. I feel i could be put at risk because I could hit a bad part of road at some point in the future and it could damage the frame more or completely brake.Read more

When pulling trailers I frequently get warning to check trailer wiring. I have gotten this warning with every trailer I have towed to include, my travel trailer(camper), livestock trailer, car hauler trailer and enclosed cargo trailer. It is intermittent but frequent. I am unsure if trailer brakes will engage during this failure.

The vehicle has an automatic start stop function that randomly turns off the vehicle when at a stop sign and puts the brake on. This has happen 3 times since leasing this car last year. Hello NTSB, the frameless windows Thor used on my rv are all failing.. basically the adhesive used to glue the bottom rail onto the glass keeps failing. This week I had two windows fail. The top bunk window, and the emergency exit window. Both window (at separate times) failed while driving. Lucky I saw them break loose and my wife was able to grab the window before it flew off on the freeway and
... possibly caused a major accident or injury with flying glass at freeway speed. Again this is the 4th window failure in the last 3 years. All with the Same problem. Last summer I had the same problem with the bottom bunk window, however that window flew off somewhere in New Mexico. Unfortunately I have no idea if the large piece of glass flying off my rv at freeway speed hurt anyone or anything. I filed a NTSB report (just like this) last year, and the never received or heard anything back from you guys. A year later 2 more windows have failed. Reading other post in the palazzo Facebook page, window failure (as I’m describing) is a very common occurrence. So much so, the 2017 and 2016 units have the recall on the windows. However the 2018’s are not included in that recall, but are obviously having the same problem. Please investigate this. Thor and the windows manufacturer HELM, are aware of the problem. So much so they sent me a new window and frame for the one I lost at no cost. Taking with HELM, they said they see this a lot.Read more

The Ford dealership says that the engine block is cracked, the engine needs to be replaced, and that Ford will not warrant it. I have seen hundreds of reports of this same issue at about this same mileage online. Clearly this is a manufacturing defect. No one expects a car to only last 62K miles.

... e to steer (without power steering support) into the emergency lane as the car dramatically dropped speed. The brakes were also not being supported by the booster so it was extremely difficult to push the pedal, thankfully it was on a bit of an uphill. Put the car manually into park after it stopped, and by itself the car restarted, although some of the cluster components and infotainment components were very slow to restart. The next time this happened was in slow traffic, once again the car shut off with no warning of any kind. Once I managed to get the brake pedal pushed far enough for the brakes to engage, I managed to stop the car within a foot or so of the person in front of me. Once again, I put the car in park and it was able to restart on its own. Both times it has been to the dealer, Don Herring of Plano, and as helpful as the service advisor is, there is still no solution in sight as they keep changing electrical components left and right. I am worried about the car becoming a rolling ball of metal that I cannot stop one day. I hope Mitsubishi figures this problem out, otherwise its a fatality waiting to happen.Read more

This is VW part 7P6907217BZ1Y. I ordered the part in November 2023 from a OKC VW dealer online (since it was the best price.) They then told me the part was unavailable/on back order. However, it has been 7 months and there is no ETA on the part availability. The dealer sent me a text message exchange with VW and that is what VW told the dealer. I am concerned VW is no longer making the part as required by 49 U.S.C. 30118-30119 and/or 49 U.S.C. 30120. I am part of VW Touareg owner forums. There are other Touareg (and other VW model) owners who report this same problem, lack of part availability, and no info from VW on whether they are even trying to obtain/supply this part any longer. I believe this is a serious, widespread safety issue based on reading other complaints online by Touareg/VW owners who have ACC/Driver Assist, who face the same dilatory action by VW to perhaps avoid fixing this issue until their legal obligation to manufacture the part expires. Now this 2024 recall which is major involving over 30,000 vehicles as of today with the fire hazard is very very suspect.
