Incident date: May 10, 2026
Accident happened while driving on a two-way county road without center lane markings. The driver was leaning to the right of the road. The lane keep assisting overcorrected to the left hitting a culvert. Upon the crash the seat unlocked from its position and slid towards the steering wheel. The seat belt did not lock in time to prevent the seat from considerable forward movement. The airbag loca
... ted inside steering wheel seemed only partially inflated. No other airbags deployed. The combined malfunctions resulted in the driver's left foot being crushed (various fractures and joints dislodged), and right ankle fracture and dislocation. The driver was the only one involved in the cash. However, other drivers could have been affected by the sudden change of lanes - especially if driving the opposite direction. The issue has not been reproduced as far as known (unable to find any reports, images or videos online). There was no inspection following the accident. The car had previously shown unexplainable lane keeping assistance overcorrections before, but there were no system failure warning lights. The seat sometimes needed readjustment (the locking system would click, but the seat would not remain in place). Summary of issues: -Lane keep assisting - overcorrected leading to hitting a culvert on the opposite side of the road. -Driver's seat unlocked forward toward the steering wheel when car hit the culvert. -Seatbelt did not lock appropriately to prevent seat moving forward toward the steering wheel. I am unsure if the car is still available for inspection. It was totaled by the insurance company. I have a code on my Acura regarding the driver side airbag. The code is 11-10, covered under service bulletin: 18-020, noting defects in the driver side air bag module. I brought my vehicle in to Hall Acura in November 2025 where this was officially diagnosed and a order was placed for a part on back order (Part Number: 77810-tx4-a40za). To this date, the part continues to be on "critical back ord

With no preceding accident or damage, the vehicle suddenly received multiple warning lights on the dash, including: "Adaptive Cruise Control Problem", "Lane Keeping Assist Problem", "Collision Mitigation System Problem", "Road Departure Mitigation System Problem", ""Auto High-Beam Problem", and a Brake System Caution Light. I attempted turning the car off and back on again, disconnecting the batte

I find this defect to be unacceptable and STRONGLY believe that it warrants a recall by the manufacturer.Read more

The primary failure is a total loss of engine power and electrical systems while the vehicle is in motion. The dealership (Ray Skillman Southside Mitsubishi) has diagnosed this as a failed engine/body control computer system. The vehicle is currently located at the dealership's service center and is available for inspection. The vehicle has stalled/shut off completely while driving on four separat
... e occasions. This resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and motive power, nearly causing collisions in traffic. A vehicle that loses all power without warning is a severe safety hazard to the driver, passengers, and other motorists on the road. Yes. The problem has been confirmed by the Ray Skillman service department. They have attempted to repair the issue 3 times without success and currently state that the vehicle is inoperable while they search for a used replacement computer component. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the Ray Skillman dealership technicians. To date, no representative from the manufacturer (General Motors) or insurance has performed an independent inspection, though a formal complaint has been initiated with the dealership's corporate management. There were no consistent warning lamps or symptoms prior to the failures. The vehicle would unexpectedly lose all power and shut down. These symptoms first appeared within the first 100 miles of ownership (purchased at 11,000 miles; current mileage approximately 11,800 The dealership has refused to provide a loaner vehicle and is currently attempting to resolve a recurring safety failure using a used/salvage electronic component rather than a certified new part, which I believe further compromises the safety of the vehicle.Read more

Intermittently for the last year, car will show 3 dash lights: 1. AEB light 2. Slip indicator light 3. Master warning light When this occurs, the car can be slow to accelerate. When the three lights are on, the problem will persist until the engine is shut off for a period of several minutes. It does not occur every time the car is driven. In the last 3 months, there have been 3-4 instances
... where the check engine light has come on as well. The code every time has been P1010 or no code displayed. We tried changing out the MAF sensor with a third party part, and the issue occurred even more frequently. We then went back to the first sensor after cleaning it with MAF sensor cleaner. This seemed to resolve the issue for a month, but then it started to reoccur. The last two occurrences of the check engine light have occurred after rapid acceleration. - Yes original part is available for inspection. - Safety is at risk for self and others as car can have issues accelerating, which makes it dangerous to enter freeways and highways (which are necessary for my commute). - Dealer has not reproduced the error, however they have not seen it with a check engine code (taking the car in tomorrow). - no inspection by insurance, police, or manufacturer. - before the 3 error lights started to come on fairly regularly (several times a week) I had a few issues of intermittent sluggish acceleration over the course of 1-2 years when this issue first started, but no lights came on at first.Read more

The vehicle experiences a severe loss of power, placing it into a reduced-power or limp mode that prevents the vehicle from exceeding approximately 10 mph. The issue has occurred repeatedly despite multiple repair attempts. The battery was replaced initially, after which the vehicle broke down while still at the dealership. The service department removed the new battery & reinstalled the original
... battery, at which point the vehicle temporarily operated normally. On a subsequent visit for the same reduced-power condition, the dealership replaced the throttle body chamber and multiple gaskets. This repair resolved the issue only for a short period of time. During a third service visit, I paid approximately $3,000 for additional repairs; however, the same issue occurred again, & I was unable to safely leave the dealership parking lot. The vehicle is currently available for inspection, testing, & servicing upon request. All prior inspections & repair attempts are documented in dealership service records. My safety & the safety of others were placed at significant risk because the vehicle unexpectedly loses power while being driven. The vehicle abruptly slows & cannot exceed 10 mph. This occurred while driving on the highway during heavy 5:00 p.m. traffic, as well as during normal roadway driving. A sudden and severe reduction in speed in traffic creates a high risk of rear-end collisions or other serious accidents, particularly if surrounding drivers are unable to react in time. Yes. The affected systems are the engine and powertrain. After completion of Safety Recall 23S64 (NHTSA #23V905) in November 2025, my vehicle began experiencing repeated loss of power, stalling, and reduced-power “limp mode” events. The check engine light illuminated and diagnostic trouble code P0299 (Turbocharger Underboost Condition) was identified. The vehicle remains available for inspection up
... on request. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk due to sudden loss of engine power while driving, including hesitation and reduced acceleration in traffic. The vehicle has stalled and entered limp mode unexpectedly, creating a risk of being unable to maintain speed or safely merge. The problem has been reproduced and documented through multiple return visits to the same Ford dealership following the recall repair. The dealership attempted repairs including spark plug replacement and battery replacement, which did not resolve the issue. On the most recent visit, the dealership stated the issue was “unable to duplicate” and returned the vehicle without repair, despite prior documented limp mode behavior. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer’s authorized dealership multiple times. Additionally, an independent diagnostic scan confirmed P0299 turbocharger underboost. Warning indicators included the check engine light, reduced engine power, and limp mode behavior, which first appeared after the recall repair was completed. These symptoms have continued despite repeated service visits. Given the vehicle’s history of prior engine failure at approximately 29, 313 miles, and the fact that Recall 23S64 involves oil pump belt failure and oil pressure loss, I am concerned that the recall repair was incomplete or ineffective, potentially allowing residual oil starvation damage affecting the turbocharger and related components.Read more
