This car has 54,000 miles on it and has been serviced at Nissan dealerships according to the Nissan service schedule. Right front passenger door weld has failed as confirmed by Ford dealership. Car has 84,000 miles on it and is not eligible for warranty. Ford does not do body work and suggested it be taken to a body shop. Took to a body shop and they confirmed the weld has failed. I found out that there was a recall done on 2011-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokees. This recall was “Equipment Safety Recall 21A NHTSA 23E-019”. This recall calls out this exact problem for our exact model and the exact part replaced. My vehicle did not qualify for this recall for some reason which does not make sense because of the following information. The Julian date range for the failed part is 8166-9106. The part pulled out of my vehicle has a Julian date of 8228. I am more than willing to provide photos and any documentation showing this repairs high cost and that it was done. There needs to be another recall with these cars to include mine and many others as this issue could cause death of unsuspecting people around the vehicle. It’s ridiculous that my vehicle did not qualify for this recall when I have an obviously failed part that FCA knows about but refuses to fix or reimburse me for. Please investigate this and enact a recall to fix a problem that was bad enough to be recalled once for another batch of cars. Finally, I turned the car off and back on, put it in drive, pushed the gas and it went. I live in Miami, with the serious traffic congestion. The issues that my stalled car caused blocking other drivers’ passage through a few lights, can only be imagined Fortunately, no accidents happened as other drivers attempted to get around my vehicle. The car was taken into service on October 9, 2023, many tests were performed, a diagnosis of the stalling problem was provided, however, I was told there no solution to the problem at this time, “maybe in the future” I was told. Turn off the Economy button, I was told. What if I forget? What if someone else is driving the car? As one can clearly read from the service record, attached hereto, the car is irreparable.The car was released to me anyway on October 28, 2023. After complaining to Mercedes corporate, they offered to repurchase my car. I said I wanted a replacement. They said my model had this problem and a replacement would not solve my problem. I asked about the safety of all other owners and drivers coming into contact with this model on the road and why a recall hadn't been issued and there was no response, nor concern from Mercedes. On 10/02/2023 we took this truck to Kenny Kent Chevrolet for power steering intermittently going out, and they replaced the battery, codes for low voltage to power steering module. Tested battery and found to test bad, so they replaced the battery. Checked for codes and none were found after replacement of the battery, appeared to be the point of failure at this time. Aside from a very expensive repair to a part which never should have failed (especially since the car is very lightly driven) we were and are very concerned that this could have resulted in a very serious injury in the event of a vehicle crash. Vehicle stopped and is not operational. Dealer stated that the generator went out. Part is not available due to this problem occuring on so many vehicles. Vehicle has been in the shop since late, October it is now November 28th and still no ETA on part arrival or repair completion.

This car was purchased from Nissan and was guaranteed to be safe and dependable. This was sold to me for over $15,000.00, trade in is maybe $3,000 but probably nothing now because of this recall and I am still paying on this loan. I live in a huge fire zone, in the mountains near Yosemite National Park, California. I feel my vehicle is not safe and I have been sold a faulty vehicle.

Drivers door is making a creaking/popping sound and sometimes won’t close. The window will not always go up.
