The steering wheel began wiggling when driving straight. Then when I was completing a turn I began to audibly hear a clicking sound, followed by feeling a click when completing a turn. I took the vehicle into the Hardin Honda dealership to have the problem diagnosed. Upon assessment they were able to replicate the issue and determined the issue was that the steering gearbox needed to be replaced.

Keeler Mercedes, USA, of Colonie New York, stated they completed my subframe repair under the MB rear subframe extended warranty. The vehicle was driven home and inspected only to find out Keeler Mercedes of NY did NOT replace this crucial safety component under MB-USA extended warranty issued for this defect. This is pure negligence. When asked why the subframe wasn’t replaced as the work order stated it did, they stated “a mix up in paper work” I believe Mercedes-Benz USA and Keeler Mercedes of New York conspired together to push this massive safety defect aside and lie about completing the work in fear of the payment from warranty not being worth the labor hours required by the technicians. This oversight COULD have been a multi million dollar lawsuit if any injury was sustained after said repairs were done in belief the vehicle was safe to drive. Keeler Mercedes’ has also had this vehicle in their possession from June 14th 2024, to todays date, July 5th 2024 with no word on when repairs to subframe will be completed. I believe this should definitly be a safety recall for these vehicles. My mechanic states that a new wiring harness olone is about $1500.00 plus a LOT of labor to install it. It was a temporary fix because the lights have been on and off for a whole year now. I cannot get the issue fix because the parts have been on and off back order for the whole year I have owned this car. My car is running harder and hesitating a lot more and I do not get the same average milage on gas anymore. I normally fill up once a week and do the same amount of driving, but my gas is no longer lasting me the week it used to. The fuel injectors seem to be a common issue with these cars especially with the parts on back order for this long intensive time period. I am scared my car will not be drivable in the near future on the symptoms it is now displaying. My car is available at any time for an inspection. I'm very surprised this issue is not a recall on the hazard it is driving, and the car could hesitate or not proceed to go when in traffic which could lead to terrible safety hazards. Approaching stops on an incline, driving forward, release gas, start to apply brakes, truck will shift and apply power while under braking. Once, pulled in to parking space, backed out to straighten, placed in drive, wrench light came on, no power. Turned the truck on and off again, and that fixed the issue.
