This has happened on four separate occasions. When driving, we suddenly get a warning about hill assist, immediately followed by a warning about stability control, immediately followed by the check engine wrench light. Everyone was in danger because we lost the engine at speed. I'm scared to imagine what would have happened going up an incline. On each of these occasions, turning everything off, waiting, and then turning it back on was what it took for it to be drivable again. We have taken it to the dealership multiple times and they either sell us a 'fix' that doesn't work, or they tell us nothing is wrong with it. Looking at forums online, this problem seems to be one many people have experienced. None of them have found a solution. They suggest problems with wheel sensors and traction control systems. No one has gotten any answers from Ford. It looks like another manufacturer had a suit filed against them for the same problem. Either way, Ford is knowingly letting people drive around with vehicles that can lose engine acceleration power at any time, anywhere. We could have died today, and realistically, us and everyone around us are at risk of injury or death every time we drive this thing. I noticed there was a reall of the front hub assemblies, however my truck must not be on the list of vins affected. I’m not sure where the problem originated, but I just passed over 20k miles and im experiencing signs and symptoms of what that recall would affect, this started a few weeks ago, not getting any better. After this I immediately took it into the dealership, they confirmed this was a known issue with the Volkswagen Tiguans as well as some Atlas’ however this was an issue with the computer in the car and they had attempted to fix the issue with an update to the computer but had no success therefore they had no way to resolve the issue and we would just have to take the car back as is. This issue put my life, my kid and my unborn child at risk as it would not move, after the dealership confirmed they knew this was an issue with this particular type of vehicle and saying they had absolutely no fix for it so therefore they would do nothing for us is completely unacceptable and when we bought the car no one informed us of this issues so I am very concerned there are many more individuals facing the same safety risk driving this vehicle and I feel it too unsafe to drive until they have a resolution.Read more

My vehicle sat at a kia dealership from January to March 6th and if this recall was so drastic such as a car fire why was this not taken car of when my vehicle sat for 2 months. I purchased this vehicle in July 2020. I did a through check for recalls, warranty problems and could not identify any with this vehicle. From the get go the check engine light would come on. I checked the codes and they indicated an "electrical fault on bank 1, oxygen sensor 1. I replaced the wiring harness on that sensor as well as the sensor. From then until now the car would code weekly about
... the same issue. Eventually I started using a catalytic converter cleaner (it cleans off sulfur deposits) in an attempt to solve the issue. It would work for a couple of tanks of gas and then continuing coding. I asked MB on numerous occasions about what the issue was. They all said they had no idea. It looks to me like they knew what the issue was, but kept it to themselves. Several weeks ago I received a letter in the mail(not dated by postmark) but the letter was dated August, 2023. The letter outlined an issue with the catalytic converter system identifying my vehicle by vin. The same problem I have had all along. The letter came at a time when the car codes almost daily with the same issue as always, ONLY NOW THE VEHICLE STALLS occasionally while waiting at stop lights. I said great. I called to get an appointment to fix the issue only to be told that the fix window had passed. I told them that I just got the letter. They told me that the fix expired in December 2023. I called MB hotline at 1-800-367-6372 to see what was up. They said they would get back to me in 3 days. It's been a week so I called again and they advised me they can't help. It's an issue for the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 MB S550 W221. Why is this not a recall and why won't they fix it. It's an expensive repair. It is impossible to adjust the flat glass mirror to indicate a smaller car to the right side of this truck, and at the same time, approaching traffic from the right rear. This is particularly dangerous when needing to make a quick "glance and maneuver". The GM Parts department advised there is no convex replacement option or even a convex towing mirror option for this truck. Replacing the flat glass mirror on the passenger side with a commonly used passenger "convex" door mirror glass would correct this hazardous situation.Read more

There needs to be a recall for water intrusion to the parking distance control system in at minimum the 2013 BMW X1. Our whole camera system and parking sensors went out, as soon as I searched the problem, there were numerous forums advising of the issue. When I opened up the area in the trunk, the entire area was filled with water. The parts within all need to be replaced. This should be covered

I was traveling at 40mph on August 14 when the engine stopped running suddenly and without warning. I lost all power. I tried pressing the gas pedal and the engine shuddered and sputtered with the speed ranging from 0 mph to about 18mph with no steady duration longer than a second or two. At the same time an engine icon appeared and a message displayed reading engine malfunction. I safely exited
... the travel lane despite having very little power. I waited 10 seconds and restarted the car and everything worked fine. I called the dealer explained the incident and to made arrangements to have the vehicle serviced. The appointment was for Friday. When I asked whether I should continue driving the car. I was told that so long as the engine icon was not flashing the car was ok to drive. The next day I started the car and did not see any warning message or engine icon. I thought all was ok so I cancelled the appointment. A second incident occurred later in the morning. I called the dealer again and was told to bring the car in that afternoon, Thursday. On the way over to drop off the car a third incident occurred with the same characteristics as the first two. Each time waiting 5 to 10 seconds restored power to the car. One week later the car was returned to me with the diagnosis of low fuel pump pressure problem. I am wary of driving this car on any trip especially on a speed highway for fear this situation will occur when I am driving at 70mph. Were my vehicle to spontaneously burst into flames due to a Farasis Energy battery, my family could die and we would have considerable property damage. Although I have repeatedly asked Mercedes to tell me whether the high voltage battery in my vehicle was made by Farasis Energy or by CATL, it has refused to provide the information. I have no way to obtain the information otherwise and am extremely worried that my family and I are at risk because I have a Farasis Energy battery. Can you please require Mercedes to advise each purchaser of one of its electric vehicles the name of the manufacturer of the high voltage battery in that vehicle so it can take appropriate action to protect itself?
