Took truck for service maintenance and tire rotation. Tire rotation wasn’t done because tech said lug nuts were swollen and they couldn’t get lug nuts off. I took truck across street to Big-O tires and they rotated tires and we had lug nuts replaced with steel lug nuts.

We purchased this 2018 Ford Escape new. The headlights have burned out many times, and much sooner than normal. What is really a mystery is that many times the low beams will burn out together. This vehicle, driven mildly and maintained perfectly on schedule, with most service done at the local Ford dealer service center, has experienced both engine and transmission failure in the low 90k miles. I am writing to bring to your attention several persistent issues we have encountered with the Blue Bird student seating in our buses. The seat backs, constructed from a black mesh material welded at all four corners and secured with a top bar, have repeatedly failed. We have observed that nearly all of our seats have broken seat backs, necessitating multiple repairs at Central States of Lexington

This is particularly concerning as, in the event of an accident, these seats would not adequately provide the necessary compartmentalization for student safety. We are in the process of replacing the seat frames in the buses that are currently damaged, but given our experience, we believe that using the same materials will only result in further issues in the near future. To date, we have identified a total of six buses affected by this problem. The Kentucky Department of Education has conducted a review of our district's situation and expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the seats provided by Blue Bird. This leads us to believe that this issue may not be limited to our district or state. Please advise on how you would like to proceed with the investigation of this complaint. We currently have one bus out of service at our shop, available for in-person inspection. i was driving on the highway at 50MPH in 5th gear. the truck goes in neutral on its own and then 1st gear for about two seconds and then back to 5th gear. the ground was wet and the rear tires skid. i believe that's what prevented the tires locking up and getting out of control it was a very scary situation that could have ended very bad.

... ed a ignition coil. Picked it up and still had the same issue, and I took it back and they replaced the fuel injector. After the fuel injector was replaced, 2 days later I was driving it home still having the same exact issues of when I originally took it in rough, misfiring start the car over heated. I shut the car off and seen that I had zero coolant. I put coolant in the reservoir ( completely shocked because I had just had an oil change, and they didn't notice the coolant was low). The next morning I called the place I had been taking it and told them what happened and they were stumped. So, I called Ford told them the issues I was having, they said, they are 100% sure they know the issue( because it is a known issue with this year and make of vehicle) of what is wrong with it but to bring it in and they will run a diagnostic on it. With in an hour they said, that I had a coolant leak that was leaking behind the spark plugs and going out the exhaust causing the misfire and white smoke. To replace the motor will be $7K. I bought this car brand new, had the extended warranty and maintenance plan on the vehicle. It was kept in pristine condition and never missed a oil change or any recall. Then 6 months after the warranty is out, this issue began. Ford knows that this is an issue and they have a technical warning on it for the Ford edge and other vehicles. It is a unsafe to drive and not fair that I need to pair 7k for a new engine on a issue they know they have with this engine.Read more

2015 original owner, developed misfire cylinder #4 P0304, replaced coils, plugs, injectors, harness on that side. Misfire still present, noted others have reported issues with cylinder head (valves, cams, rockers). Engine has a slight tick, found no recalls on NHTSA site except for 2014 versions with same engine for this exact issue.

Over the last 2 years I had both left and right side rear "lower link" suspension elements "rot out" and break while operating the vehicle. Both times leaving me stranded roadside. ... 10 years and unlimited mileage. They are now denying repair of my issue because I am 2 weeks beyond their arbitrary 120 month warranty extension. I say arbitrary because how can they put a time limit on parts you know to be faulty and are corroding? I have one of these known faulty parts and simply based on random circumstances mine failed 2 weeks too late. So they dodge responsibility for selling me a poor quality car? At the urging of the dealer, I escalated with Customer Satisfaction believing they would own up to this and acknowledge responsibility. Customer Satisfaction mandated I must tow the car to Nissan to confirm failure of the part - which I did at my expense. The dealer confirmed the part failure but Customer Satisfaction parroted the "denied because it was 2 weeks too late" position. I believe Nissan 1) Minimized to the NSTB the safety risk this failure poses (breaking while at moderate to high speeds and stranding people in traffic roadside), 2) Is failing to act in good faith to cover a know manufacturers defect and 3) is employing "bait and switch" tactics by telling customer to have vehicles towed to their service centers to only then deny coverage based purely on "calendar date" (in hopes of forcing a customer to pay to use their service center).Read more
