The tire size that was on the vehicle that was purchased is 255/35ZR19, the manufacturers size is 235/55R19 per the les Schwab it can damage the vehicle and decrease the performance of the function of the vehicle which also impacts the speedometer reading and also the mileage tracking adding additional strain on the vehicle as well as decreasing its value faster. The vehicle is an all-wheel drive car and have the incorrect size is a safety concern as well as increasing the amount of mile that are driven that are artificial, also messing with the speedometer reading to have to go 10 mile over the limit to make it go the correct speed, this makes the computer think the vehicle is driving more mile than it is. I have informed the dealer of the issues, and they have refused to help and state that there is nothing to be concerned about. On Saturday October 5th at roughly 8:30 p.m. heading West on I-94 near battle creek, MI, the glass sunroof on our Mercedes suddenly exploded out and shattered. They pointed out that our MY2020 with 29,711 miles on the odo was not covered under warranty for the sunroof shattering and that we would have to deal with our insurance company. They also informed us that they would not have any rental cars available during a repair until at least December. We mentioned that there was signs on the internet of class-actions against Mercedes for similar sunglass explosions to which they quickly responded with - not on MY20 300 GLC. We did get the sunroof replaced through our insurance. Anecdotely, when we took it into the glass repair shop, they had just did another one, similar situation the week before. This could have been tragic. Glass shards could have been everywhere. The only reason the sunscreen was deployed was that we had our baby granddaughter in the car only 1 hour earlier. ... be thawed to Volkswagen at Inver Grove, the diagnosis done was extreme misfires on all cylinders that cause the car to die while in operation. The root cause was due to excessive oil inside the cylinder. In this occasion, the repair would not be covered under the guarantee and thus the option provided was to replace the motor at an estimated cost of $11,000 USD which is above the cost of the vehicle. It is important to notice that the car was routinely checked and serviced by Volkswagen at Inver Grove during the time we have owned the vehicle. There were not diagnostic tools that we could have to address this issue, to our knowledge there is nothing we did to cause this catastrophic failure. This recurrent incident could be likely a manufacturing issue and thus it is not caused by the user. The damage of the cylinder was not isolated to just one, all four have the same issue. Our car is currently parked (we are paying storage insurance on it) and we cannot use it. Our ask is for Volkswagen to repair the vehicle at no cost to us as we were not at fault for this issue. ... After calling Kia, they will not do anything about it because it has never had a specific software update that is under a product improvement action. A knock sensor detection that would detect prior to engine failure. I told Kia that we looked up recalls on the vehicle and there was nothing regarding that on the search. From both their website, and NHTSA. And they said that it wasn’t their responsibility to do so. But it was their failed product and design, that put my child at risk, and we had no reasonable way of knowing about it. They said it wasn’t their responsibility. I don’t understand how a detection system of the engine failure, would be required after the failure? There’s no prevention aspect to the “product improvement”. At this point, it serves no purpose, the engine failed for that reason. And installing the software update prior to failure wouldn’t have changed anything. They have orchestrated a loophole to not be accountable for a design and product they out on the public market, which they received financial compensation for, that could have cost my child’s life. In fact, they won’t even pay to replace the deficient engine that broke because of their negligence in design and risk assessment. They are 100% unwilling to address the defective product they sold. Ford issued NHTSA recall 22V142 for my 2021 F-150 truck. The windshield wiper motors were known to fail. I was told by the Ford customer service representative on CAS-51684816 that Ford has not replaced this part with a new one, and the faulty motors are still being installed. My wiper motor was "replaced" under warranty on 5/18/2023 with 39,836 miles. The "new" motor then failed on 9/24/2024 at
... 69,600 miles, so the wiper motor only worked for a little over a year and 30,000 miles. The wiper motor also failed during a thunderstorm, and I had to pull over to the side of the road. My first two years of ownership of the Juicebox 40 were pretty uneventful. However, over the last few months my Juicebox 40 became very unpredictable. Then, on 9/12/24, I walked into my garage and smelled smoke. I had a sense it was coming from where the Juicebox connects to the 14-50 wall plug so I cut the breaker. The check engine light would intermittently light up and then go out for a few months prior to system failure. In the week prior to failure, we took the vehicle to AutoZone and used their engine code scanner to try to diagnose the problem. A couple of days after that, while I was driving home from work one morning, the check engine light started to flash at me, which it had not done before, the car started shaking, and the RPM pin started dancing but would not exceed 2000RPM. We took it to the dealership where they diagnosed a coolant intrusion in cylinder 2 and told us this is a known problem with Turbo Boost engines from 2015-2018 and that there is currently a class action lawsuit underway to push Ford Motor Company to make it an official recall. They recommended replacing the engine or trading the vehicle in for a new car. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic, who confirmed the dealership's diagnosis and replaced the engine with a 2019 ReMan turbo boost engine, including brand new turbo hoses and gaskets. ... pants. First occurrence was on July 12, 2024. Driving approximately 40 mph on two lane road near a school that was not in session. There were no surrounding vehicles, pedestrians or obstacles. Vehicle beeped, seatbelts locked, and speed forced to 10 mph. Took vehicle to local MB dealership who attributed the vehicle’s response to proximity to a school zone. Vehicle was not checked for fault codes. Second occurrence was on August 19, 2024. Driving 55 mph on major highway and a truck entered the merge lane to the right. The truck was travelling at reduced speed and remained in the merge lane showing no effort to merge into vehicle’s lane. Vehicle had violent sudden deceleration with beeping alerts, locking seatbelts and reduced speed to 10 mph. Driver and passenger experienced symptoms of whiplash. It was fortunate that there was no vehicle travelling immediately behind the vehicle. Vehicle was driven to MB dealership for analysis. The vehicle had been driven 6,177 miles in 15 months. Service manager indicated there were no fault codes so no maintenance was warranted. Owner viewed the vehicle as dangerous due to false collision avoidance issues that put passengers and others at risk. The owner sold the vehicle to the MB dealership.Read more
