We leased our jeep [XXX and started having Software (SW) issues in December 2023. We were informed in June 2024, after having multiple SW issues, from dealer senior mechanic that 90% of the first wave 2024 Jeep Wranglers had SW issues. Issues include Control-D: going totally blank starting in Jan 2024 on startup or while driving or starting, in Oct 2024 having a half inch strip across the top and down left side, Dash navigation direction provides two dashes starting Jul 2024 on startup and for about 30sec, GPS freezing up in Aug 2024, all functions on screen froze up Nov 2024, to name a few. FCA US LLC has no idea when the next SW update will be released or what fix's will be included. Hardware (HW): Mar 2024 headlights with switch in Auto will come on in broad sunlight. While driving on [XXX], engine warning light came on and remained on for a total of 36hours during start up and driving time. Presently at Starr Motors Suffolk, VA since Dec 16, 2024. They have been directed to trouble shoot and fix HW. We've were informed Jan 14, 2025, that the Oil Control Valve is bad, and more testing will be performed once parts are replaced. While driving previous year 2024 the steering wheel became stiff and hard to turn. I was going around 60MPH and the Reduce Steering Drive with caution appear. Took it to the nearest Autzone no codes. We removed battery for 30 min and the steering wheel worked. Again changed my battery and the steering wheel will not turn. Had to disconnect for a day and the steering wheel worked. He checked everything and found a code for the parking brake not set. Going down the road it would not be set. We found a way to over ride the slide and get it back in. We left the power to both slides
... unplugged so it could not happen again. After arriving at our destination we plugged the slides back in and they worked fine. After a couple of hours the slide that gave the problem retracted all by itself. Lucky there was no one inside and nothing was in the way so no damage was done. At 5:00 AM the slide fully extended again while we were in bed. I got up and unplugged it again. I have contacted Forest River, Lippert, and Percision Circuits to try to get help and answers to this problem. No one has been able to help as of yet 1-14-2025. We have had to mobile techs look at the problem at a total cost of $685.00 out of pocket and still haven't figured anything out. We could have had a very serious accident causing harm or death to us or other travelers when that slide came out. I purchased this vehicle in the summer of 2024. Only after a few months of driving it, I began to have a weird issue with my phone being connected via Bluetooth. This was only an issue when playing media from my phone, it is not an issue when listening to the regular radio. It would not happen all the time, just sporadically and without any correlation I could identify. The issue would present as
... a weird crackling noise through the speakers, as if there was an issue with a connection. After a while of this happening sporadically, the cracking noise would be accompanied by my back-up camera looking like a fish bowl. The dealership wasn't able to get me in for an appointment until January 3, 2025. It's important to note that this issue did not come with a dash light coming on. Prior to my January service appointment, my backup camera completely stopped working and gave me the notice on my dash to "service vision system". Upon taking my car to the dealership for my appointment, they informed me that they were ordering me a new backup camera and I'd have to come back for it to be installed. But the technician did some updates on my car for the Bluetooth system and should be resolved. Today, January 13, 2025, the crackling noise has come back and I will be notifying the dealership. Chevrolet has not identified a cause for this, but upon my research, owners of both the 2024 and 2025 Trax experience the same, or similar, issue with their vehicle with no resolution from the dealer.Read more

I was scheduled to receive the 2.2 software update November 12 and noticed a low voltage battery warning some time earlier in the day, November 11 - this is not the main battery, as it was charged around 70%. ... night and I was driving home and received the warning again, but this time in a more critical fashion (beeps, red caution blinking, etc) and then a couple seconds later while turning on a bend the car totally shut down, the wheel locked up, breaks activated in full and I slid straight into the curb and got a flat tire and broke the wheel on the axel. Thankfully I was alone and was not hurt, and only going about 20 mph, but it could have been a lot worse. The car has not been online since as I haven't had time to charge the 12 volt, and the main battery will not charge because the cabin does not have power. Any advice on how to file a complaint, or next steps? I would love to be able to prove this with the logs or events within the car computer if I was ever able to power it back on again. While driving my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, I heard a knocking sound coming from the engine. Shortly afterward, the vehicle began moving jerkingly forward, and the oil, engine, and battery warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Due to the failure, I had to exit the vehicle and physically push it to the side of the road in cold, rainy conditions with reduced visibility, creating a risk of being struck by oncoming traffic. Strangers who assisted in moving the vehicle also placed themselves at risk. A certified mechanic has since confirmed that the engine has locked up and identified this as a known issue with Hyundai engines. Prior to this incident, the only warning sign was the oil light briefly flashing while driving on an uneven road surface. I have Toyota extended warranty because I am second owner and wanted some type of coverage. The peeling paint transferred to my clothing while driving, causing financial losses and embarrassment. Issues with the rims were also mishandled, further compromising the vehicle's quality. CarMax failed to disclose unresolved safety recalls affecting critical vehicle systems, and their inadequate repairs and omissions put my safety at risk. These defects have caused significant inconvenience, financial loss, and concerns about the vehicle’s reliability. Despite requests, CarMax has not adequately addressed these issues. CarMax acquired the vehicle in 2021 from its first owner, who had purchased it in 2018. At the time of acquisition, the vehicle had been driven 45,069 miles. When I purchased it in 2022, the odometer read 57,925 miles, indicating that CarMax operated the vehicle for 12,856 miles. This period of use was later discovered to involve its usage as a loaner vehicle, a fact not disclosed during the transaction. Upon taking possession of the vehicle, I became aware of several safety issues that were not disclosed, including unresolved recalls affecting key components of the vehicle. Despite the critical nature of these recalls, CarMax sold the vehicle without addressing these defects or informing me of their existence. Total recalls should be done, and full compensation to consumers. GM & Chevy are fully aware of the defects and should be held responsible and accountable for the dangerously hazardous fumes that they are knowingly allowing unsuspecting consumers to become victims of their neglect and found guilty of all laws created to protect consumers, and the environment for these defective vehicles and found guilty pursuant to any and all Lemon Laws pertaining to aforementioned toxic chemical exposure. Was driving on highway at 60-65 mph. The car continued to accelerate. Pressed on brake and wasn't slowing the vehicle. The driver was weaving in and out of cars as the van started to creek up to 92 mph. The driver and passengers thought they were going to crash and possible die. The driver tried the brake multiple times and nothing. The driver said the accelerator pedal wasn't pressed all the way
... down to the floor. It was half way and driver had to go down and pull up on the pedal while driving. The van then started to slow and driver was able to pull over to have the van evaluated . The throttle body was reached and cleaned of carbon because it said that this may have been part of the issue. Never has this van taken off like this. The throttle body cable wasnt loose or disconnected either. So far we havent been able to recreate but 3 people could have been killed.Read more
