The ABS module had been replaced. The contact believed that the engine needed to be replaced but the engine was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. Prior to May 2022, both of the quarter panel mounted tail light assemblies on my 2017 Ford Escape SE started taking in water due the seals on the tail lights failing. Soon after those started failing the same thing began happening to the tail light assemblies on the hatch. I have replaced all 4 tail lights with OEM parts sourced from a salvage yard. All parts sourced from the salvage yard had a
... perfect conditions rating per the salvage yard. Fast forward to November 2024 and I began to notice the seals on the quarter panel mounted tail light assemblies begging to fail. Since then, the passenger side tail light assembly has began taking on water, with the driver side soon to take on water as well. Water and electricity do not mix. The tail lights are available for inspection upon request and I have included pictures. Driving at night or in low light conditions with my tail lights like this puts me and other drivers at risk due to water potentially shorting out my lights/electrical system and making my lights harder for other drivers to see. The problem, to my knowledge has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The vehicle component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. First appeared prior to May 2022 and again, after replacing the components, around November 2024. I have appealed to the Ford motor company about this and no recall or programs are in affect for this issue at this time. I have also consulted with other owners of the same vehicle with the same issue and there are multiple online forum threads about this issue.Read more

I managed to pull off onto an exit ramp, kept the car running, and was able to get it to town to have
... battery tested. Battery was fine. Turned the car off and turned it back on and there were 0 issues and everything worked just fine. Took car to Honda dealership, it was diagnosed that the EPS unit malfunctioned. I was terrified when this happened as I was traveling 70 miles per hour on the interstate and didn't know what was happening, I was unsure what was happening and if I was going to be able to control the vehicle at all even through the gas pedal, or brakes. I was terrified I wouldn't be able to steer or brake or if the car was going to accelerate without my control. I was able to brake slowly and pull over to an exit ramp. Driving it into town with no power steering was extremely difficult and scary. I had never experienced any issued with any electrical, steering, or any other systems in my car prior to this. Honda of Altoona in Iowa is where the car was diagnosed the EPS malfunction, I was told by the dealership it was a manufacturer error and there wasn't anything I did to trigger it. I had the EPS unit replaced based off the dealership recommendation as there was no promising it wouldn't happen again if I didn't replace the unit and it was a safety concern.Read more

Diving my 2017 GMC SIERRA 1500 down the road and all of a sudden it had a big bang in motor,luckily only going 35 miles an hour. Had a slight tick in engine which I had gotten after most recent service visit, and had scheduled to take back to dealer. When I had checked it with a scanner, it only showed a P0700/P0711 code which was for transmission, otherwise no other lights or codes until that day
... when check engine light came on. Immediately stopped driving and pulled in parking lot and had car towed to dealer that day, [XXX]. They had called me back on [XXX], and said that they had to go further into engine for diagnosis, for extra charges. They called back next day and said that there was a camshaft failure that led to bent rod and metal in engine. Only fix was to replace engine. I then went and talked to them about cost and cause of failure, which is what I previously have stated. I then put in a call to GMC CUSTOMER CARE about the issue, and what they could do to help with issue, because no engine should fail with that few miles on it. Stated also that I had bought vehicle used with factory warranty still on it , and had all service since done at a GMC DEALERSHIP, and that they had all my records. And also, that the previous owner more than likely had all service done at a GMC dealership since it was all under warranty at the time. My service request with them is number [XXX]. My basis is on TSB Bulletin No: 20-NA-142 and Bulletin No: 15-06-01-002M . Which shows that GMC Corporation was aware of issues. At moment I am awaiting response from GMC. ... the possibility of the trailer going up in flames! Called Grand Design. They immediately made a ticket for a technician to come replace inverter and other wiring. Grand Design told us we were NOT to use our trailer until all fixed. Grand Design flew a technician out 8/20/24 to replace inverter. Technician held up the inverter to us, it was melted. He said this was completely Grand Design's fault. Also was told by technician to take trailer in for frame flex issues as well from recall by Grand Design. The frame flex was real. We had issues with our slides as well as the body looking crooked on the frame. The RV service center Grand Design sent us to found that there were ZERO lag bolts installed holding the body on the frame. The front corner of trailer was leaking due to the roof failing. Grand Design called for replacement of all cabinetry in front area as well as replace entire roof. This frame flex could have had detrimental outcomes due to the frame not being bolted down. All components that failed have been fixed by a certified rv service center. We have not used the trailer as we picked it up one week ago. We are nervous to use the trailer with all the issues we had. There was no warning to any of these failures.Read more

... to slide due to the ABS not functioning properly. Thankfully there was no accident but obviously this is extremely unsafe and the vehicle cannot be driven in this condition. I made an appointment on August 26,2024 to have the vehicle inspected and serviced at the dealership where i purchased the vehicle. After some correspondence the service rep indicated that there were other vehicles in for service for the same issue. It is now 28 Jan 2025 as of the date of this submission and my vehicle has still been able to be repaired. After numerous inquires with the service department i was informed that the module in question was under Engineer Review at the manufacturer and they could not ship the part until that was complete. The ETA of completion has been pushed back several times ,everytime i enquire for an update and is currently projected at 19 February, I have also opened an inquiry with the manufacturer Ram Customer Care / Stellantis case for assistance and havent received much in the way of additional information or assistance.Read more

Paid $3,069.16 for crankcase ventilation service. •Mercedes Customer Summary Report had no reference to any fuel-related issues or the P0087 code. •Drove 10 minutes to a gas station; the car wouldn’t start, repeating the same issue of why I brought it in to have repaired. •Returned to the shop; Said a New Code came up and replaced the fuel pump: oCost of part: $670.47 (no labor charged). I refused to pay $2200! [XXX] •Finally after 3 months! I got my car and drove back to San Angelo on half a tank, avoiding stops to prevent starting problems. I now had PTSD! •Filled the tank upon arrival; no issues that day. [XXX] •On the way to work, turned on the heat and noticed: oA strong gas odor inside the car. oThe radio volume control wasn’t working, and the ECO mode indicator wasn’t functioning as usual. [XXX] Filled the gas tank halfway to reduce the gas smell. •1st start up cycle immediately after getting gas, no issue. •2nd start up cycle , the dashboard lights started flickering and all indicator lights came on. Traction control warning along with message to check the owner’s manual. Can not accelerate. Check engine light stays on. •3rd cycle start up, all lights turned off except the check engine light. •4th cycle start up, no check engine light This occurs every time I get fuel. The sunroof deflector assembly spring broke and caused the sunroof to hang up on the passenger side. I have opened the sunroof less than ten times. With the sunroof hung up on the passenger side it attempted to open and caused damage to the whole assembly. Now the dealership is wanting $5,000 to fix due to a faulty part.

Ever since I purchased this vehicle in April of 2024, I've noticed that the forward collision mitigation system seems to see and respond to things which aren't in front of the vehicle. There is an active recall on the brake calipers and fuel pump for Acura Mdx 2017, and Hondas. My Acura Mdx 2017 has the same issues with a code of p07e4, which is the brake calipers. When looking up the recall of my car, there is no recall on it when inserting the VIN. My car is an Acura Mdx 2017; I do not understand why it is not included in the recall when it should.

... safety was at risk due to I lost power and lost of front brakes due to bad sway bar assembly or components could of caused and accident when this happened on November 12, 2024 the problem dealership found during vehicle inspection was code 25464 they told me recommend to replace electric lock module and repair estimate was $2,829.78 and before I approved the the amount I told Mr Ivan Velasco service advisor that after they replace the module that if my vehicle was going to be working again and that if I was just going to make 1 payment of $2,829.78 then I would approved it so I did. Weeks later I got an email asking for more money they wanted another payment for $600 saying it needed a sensor that has something to do with the transmission because after replacing the new module the vehicle did not start up there was no type of communications nothing at all and I responded that I was not going to pay $600 more just cause they don't know what their doing because they promise me the car was going to work after they replace the module now that it did not want to crank up they found another issue that's their fault on not doing there job the right way and for telling lies yes their was flashing blue or red icon on my dashboard that look like a car and a lock would go on and off and it displayed a message saying The theft protection is activated. I want to know if I can get this issue approved and to be considered a recall can you please help I'm so frustrating and mad that they want more money when it's already so expensive please help I would of appreciate it thank you.Read more
