The mandatory recalls for this car cannot be done as the OTA update never worked in my car. I constantly get the ADAS error warning and they dont work randomly. Vehicle had been operating less than 5 minutes. When I was on an on-ramp for a left entrance to a highway, several warning lights illuminated in addition to messaging on my dash. The car entered "turtle mode" which extremely limited the speed of the vehicle. I immediately pressed the button for my hazard lights to come on, but they did not operate correctly. ... not warn vehicles behind me that I was having an incident. During this incident, the vehicle speedometer was inoperable, displaying "-- --" instead of a speed. I was lucky to be able to pull to the shoulder, but with the narrow shoulder and my child in the car I felt safer limping off the highway using primarily the shoulder. I was terrified and had some cars nearly hit me/honk as I was going approximately 10 miles per hour on a 55mph roadway. I have seen similar reports on online forums for chrysler pacifica minivans, so I am not the only one to encounter the issue. The vehicle has also at times refused to go into gear while in Park, which is a related problem but I don't deem it a safety issue. The problem is intermittent and the service center is able to see 'codes' when they examine the vehicle but as the issue is intermittent they have returned the car to me twice with no repairs performed since it didn't occur while they had it. The warning lights and turtle mode occurred simultaneously or within a few seconds. I have a video during the incident. I can see the fuel gauge needle rising and falling wildly, turtle mode, a picture of a wrench, check engine, parking brake, brake, collision avoidance, ABS, and others. Each time the vehicle has gone in for service they have seen and cleared codes but they did not come back immediately, so no repairs were attempted. It is in the shop again currently and I have escalated to the manufacturer to hopefully get greater assistance.Read more

Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. The Hyundai dealership in Louisville has completed all my maintenance on my car since I bought it. I had my 50K maintenance done on [XXX} where my oil was changed. I was still under my mileage for an oil change. After talking with the local dealership they stated that my warranty will not cover the repairs and advised that teenagers have been vandalizing cars and that is likely what happened. They advised me to enter a claim with my car insurance company for vandalism. After researching this issue, I feel that this is a defect as the temperature that day was -5 and during my drive the oil pan expanded and the plug fell out. I had not seen any oil leaking from my vehicle until the engine seized. I am still working with the dealership but they are sticking to the vandal theory and that I will have to pay for the repair which they have estimated will be around 12K. I the driver was not hurt and the passenger wouldn’t have been hurt either if it was for the passenger seat belt not locking correctly at first and then repeatedly locking and unlocking the entire time hurting his chest.

I am writing in regards to the 5 vehicle recalls that were for the make, and model of my car that is showing as having no recalls for. The recalls involved air bags, air bag software, fuel filter flange, and I am also wondering with the driver headrest deployment module if that is associated with an airbag module; as when I had purchased the vehicle I had found out that both my airbag modules had
... malfunctioned with showing the srs lights on the dash. I was told that Mercedes of Sarasota, FL had replaced the passenger airbag module by Mercedes of South Orlando. When asked for a printout verification of this repair showing to be completed; they said they couldn’t provide me with this information. As proof of the service to being completed could not be provided. I had tken my car to their to have them look into this, and the tpms sensors showing malfunctioned; communication error message, and they couldn’t figure out what the problem was causing this. I had to take my car to an auto electrician to find out the problem; that I had found out that a 100 amp fusible link had blown, causing all those problems with also the roof wasn’t working. Along with I was smelling fuel. I found out about the recall for these items after getting them repaired out of pocket by the auto electrician Mike from Peak Audio, and Electric, and as to the fuel filter flange I had to pay like $1,200 to replace as they had replaced the fuel level sending unit that include the fuel filter flange. I would like refun; still have the headrest driver side that needs to be replaced. I found out that their is an recall for this make, and model of car that had said the air bag deployment software was under recall for those vehicles; which I believe could have triggered the deployment of the head rest while I was driving; as if I had been near a car; I could have been involved in an accident. I think that this should have an open ticket for repair placed on all 2012 Mercedes E350 Cabriolet Blue Efficiency.Read more

This recall has been an open, unresolved issue for more than 1 year. Finally Toyota has offered me a repair for this issue, but they are charging me an extra $250 to replace the car battery, which is perfectly functional. Without replacing the battery they would not complete the recall. So unfair as this was their issue to begin with!
