Have to put car back in drive and slam it into park several times before I am able to turn car off. ... hat the vehicle needs is a CVVT cover and seals/gaskets relating to the variable valve timing on the camshaft as it’s throwing the camshaft sensor circuit “high” voltage Kia has issued Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) SA305, which acknowledges a similar problem in earlier production models of the same vehicle (built from December 10, 2015 – September 12, 2016). However, my vehicle was manufactured in January 2017, and Kia has not yet included it in the affected range. Despite this, I am experiencing the exact same issue outlined in the TSB. This failure poses a potential safety risk because it can affect engine performance and reliability. If left unaddressed, it could lead to unexpected engine stalling, loss of power while driving, or further engine damage, creating a hazardous situation. I have not yet received confirmation from Kia regarding an official recall or warranty extension for my vehicle, but the symptoms are identical to those covered under SA305. The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by a mechanic, and I am currently in the process of contacting Kia for further inspection and assistance. There were no prior warning messages, aside from the Check Engine Light (MIL) illuminating when the problem first occurred. The light was off so I drove home. As I was driving the light came on again. The next time it came on the code was p084a. Have not had it checked by dealer yet. The mechanic said it would cost $5000-7000 to fix or replace.

Tesla offers a "Smart Summon" as part of a PAID feature of Full Self Driving. I have used this feature many times without issue. In this incident, it failed to detect a support column next to a parking spot and while pulling out, it turned right and collided with the pole causing damage to the vehicle. The car consistently has issues with the rear view camera failing when reversing with a warning stating "Camera is Temporarily Unavailable." When backing up the camera sometimes stutters, making it impossible to notice a person or object until it's too late and then it fails completely to a black screen and presents a warning that the camera is unavailable. ... occured every day this week, when backing out of our driveway the camera will take almost a minute to turn on as the infotainment system boots up although the car is already in reverse. As you reverse, it stutters for a few seconds before failing completely. The rear collision warning will kick and slam on the brakes as we almost backed into traffic while the camera was blacked out. The issue is further exacerbated because the design of the car is based on leveraging the rear view camera and has limited visibility if trying to back up using the rear window. The car also lowers the side view mirrors when reversing and when the camera fails, the sideview mirrors remain dipped. Usually don't notice until we get on the highway and try to change lanes and realize we can't check if there's a car in our blind spot and need to readjust the mirrors while trying to drive on Atlanta highways. We have complained multiple times and Polestar keeps insisting they have fixed it with the latest software update but nothing has changed. They have utilized insufficient hardware power for critical safety systems. We have multiple complaints recorded with Dyer and Dyer Volvo to address the issue with no resolution. There is a lag in the accelerator. It happens 10 to 20% of the time. It is a one or two second lag on the gas pedal. Pretty critical when turning out into traffic. We aren't sure what happened exactly. We drove the car 10 minutes from my house to my work, and it started smoking when she parked. The car eventually caught fire and was completely destroyed, including damage to the structure it was parked next to. USAA has the car currently. My safety was put at risk because the car spontaneously caught fire and burned itself, and nearly burned the structure
... . There is no way to replicate the problem, as it's a slab of melted metal and plastic. The insurance company currently has the car. I don't know if the manufacturer has inpsected it. There were no warning lights prior to it catching fire after being parked. There was a recall associated with the batteries in these Jeeps, but our battery was not part of the recall. The mandatory recalls for this car cannot be done as the OTA update never worked in my car. I constantly get the ADAS error warning and they dont work randomly.
