I have so many problems with my truck and the surging engine as well as squealing brakes, lane assist is disabled but comes on and jerks the truck out of my lane and it's impossible to steer almost causing me to crash numeroys times. Every time I try to get the engine replaced which I've been waiting over a year and I was in Phase 2 and every Toyota dealership tells me something different. I can't
... even sell this truck privately because it needs a new engine. I have 25,300 miles as of today and I've had it in the shop so many times and they say they can't find anything wrong with it. The headliner fell down onto my head and took it in for service and I got it back worse because they broke all the clips that hold the interior headliner in place and it's hanging down. Every time I bring it in for something they tell me the parts are not available but what they're doing is trying to make me run out of my warranty which is in 2 months. They're trying to sell me an extended warranty but they can't even fix anything that's under warranty right now. I really need your help here because there's so many other issues that I haven't even gone over. Everything is misaligned on this truck and they can't fix it my rear passenger door never latched correctly and they don't know what to do they just give it back to me the same way and I have small children that sit back there but they claim they don't know how to fix it.Read more

•Make: Ford •Model: Fiesta ST •Model Year: 2019 •Engine: 1.6L EcoBoost •Mileage at Incident: 95000 Component Affected: Engine / Cooling System Summary of Problem: Coolant is leaking into the combustion chamber of my 1.6L EcoBoost engine due to a suspected internal engine defect. This issue caused noticeable white smoke from the exhaust, engine misfires, and a loss of power while drivin
... g. The coolant loss was not visible externally, indicating internal leakage. After diagnostic testing at a Ford dealership, I was informed the engine block or cylinder head is compromised, allowing coolant intrusion into the cylinders. The dealer quoted approximately $12,000 for a full engine replacement and confirmed that this is a known issue with Ford EcoBoost engines. Safety Concerns: The vehicle became unreliable and unsafe to drive, especially at highway speeds, due to the misfiring and sudden power loss. If this failure had occurred during certain driving conditions, it could have led to an accident. Furthermore, the cost of repair is unreasonably high for a systemic engine defect not caused by consumer neglect. Request for Investigation: This appears to be part of a broader, well-documented problem with various EcoBoost engines across Ford’s lineup ( TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 19-2346 2.0L EcoBoost - Coolant In Cylinders, White Exhaust Smoke And/Or Illuminated MIL). I am submitting this complaint in hopes that NHTSA will investigate the safety implications of this engine defect and push for accountability from Ford through recalls or reimbursement programs.Read more

While driving my lease vehicle on two separate days, it completely shut down while in motion with no prior warning. The first incident occurred while crossing a MAX train intersection in downtown Portland. The engine stopped mid intersection, emitted a strong mechanical odor, ticking noises began, and dashboard alerts appeared. I could not restart or shift the vehicle into neutral. It was stuck, b
... locking the intersection. Although hazard lights were flashing, the vehicle appeared completely undamaged, so other drivers didn’t realize it was disabled. Police were called to the scene, and we had to remain alert for oncoming trains and traffic weaving around us. Four days later, while driving about 30 MPH on Murray Boulevard near Cornell Rd, a 4-lane hwy near a freeway off-ramp the car failed again in the exact same way. The engine shut down in active traffic. The smell, ticking sounds, and dashboard messages all returned. The vehicle once again would not shift into neutral or respond to restarts. This failure happened with traffic traveling 30-45MPH. Despite police presence and hazard lights, multiple near-accidents occurred because the vehicle looked fully intact and other drivers didn’t understand it was inoperable. Mercedes-Benz claimed this was a starter motor issue, which is inaccurate. A starter motor does not cause a moving vehicle to shut off, nor does it lock out neutral. These symptoms point to a critical failure of the powertrain or electrical system. Most alarming is the inability to manually override the system and move the vehicle to safety. Bystanders and even police were unable to shift or push it. This is a serious design flaw that turns a technical malfunction into a dangerous roadside emergency. This vehicle was in pristine condition with no damage or misuse. I kept up with all maintenance and care. Technology should never prevent human intervention during failure. These incidents placed lives at serious risk.Read more

Fast forward to February 2025, "Reduced Engine Power" notification came on again with the code P0747, P700. Returned to dealer, and after a week of sitting on the lot, the technician could not duplicate the code. I requested that a new fuel filter be replaced for piece of mind. Today, 3 mos. later, as I was backing out of my driveway, my truck did not shift/engage into Reverse. I was able to roll into the road & put it in Drive, however it went into "Reduced Engine Power." The vehicle will have to be towed, at my expense, I'm sure, to further diagnose the cause. The truck does not move when shifted into Reverse, and pressure is applied to the pedal. It is extremely concerning knowing a national recall on identical GM components has been reported, and yet I have had identical issues without resolution. Despite the known problems and safety risks, especially with a child in the vehicle during each failure, I’ve been left without consistent or timely support. I am requesting immediate assistance in diagnosing and repairing this vehicle, as well as a formal explanation of why this recurring issue has not triggered a broader response or replacement. At this point, I’m also considering pursuing further action through GM corporate or a consumer protection agency if a permanent resolution is not reached.Read more

The primary failure involved the electrical system and speed control, which posed a significant safety risk to myself and other drivers. The issue first presented itself when I noticed intermittent warning lights and error messages flashing on the dashboard, including indicators for the electronic stability program (ESP), steering assist, and lane tracking features. These malfunctions created erra
... tic driving conditions, including unexpected acceleration delays and inconsistent cruise control behavior. Approximately one week before the vehicle was repossessed, I reported the issue to the dealership and requested inspection. However, I was not provided a definitive diagnosis or service record confirming evaluation or remediation. The vehicle was subsequently remotely disabled without proper notice or opportunity to repair, placing me at risk by stranding me in an unsafe location without functional transportation. This vehicle may have also been equipped with over-the-air control features or aftermarket immobilizers unknown to me at the time of financing. To date, I have not been able to inspect the system because the vehicle was taken from my possession under a disputed contract. I believe the problem has not been properly addressed or documented by Mercedes-Benz, and the vehicle is not currently available for inspection as it remains in the control of the finance company. Prior to this incident, no physical warning lamps were persistent, though the vehicle intermittently displayed electronic system errors, especially during startup or inclement weather. This complaint is being submitted due to serious concerns about vehicle safety, electronic control vulnerabilities, and potential manufacturer negligence. I request that NHTSA initiate a review of the E-Class E450A systems involved in driver assistance, electrical integration, and potential remote immobilization tied to finance enforcement.Read more

I was told by GMC that we would be reimbursed for the towing expense and since you did not have a loaner vehicle the 2 options GMC provided were to rent or car, reimbursed or GMC would cover our loan payment until the truck was fixed. Every week called dealership for an update and there was no update. I ended up calling Menholt-Chevy because I wanted to know what the average wait time was for this sort of problem. He said they had engines but it would be the same engine installed and if the warranty was through GMC, GMC would have to do the work. We were hesitant to even drive with this same engine again and possibly having the same situation happen again. Menholt suggested we trade the vehicle. They came up with a trade deal through his dealership on February 10th. February 12th AJ with Menholt had the vehicle towed to their dealership, exactly 2 months later. Ali, from GMC emailed April 2 stating they can no longer re-imburse us because we did not accept any incentives that were offered through GMC and that they tried to work with us and we did not accept any of their offers. XXXX and I were never offered anything, Period. We asked dealership for proof of offers and they could not provide any. I have never been re-imbursed and have been ignored from that point forward. The dealership has misinformed GMC and GMC and the dealership misled us. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I paid out of my own pocket for a safety recall, with no evidence I will ever be refunded, and the recall team has un-done my recall update. This is the 2.2 update that was put in place to fix the potential issues with the safety of the vehicle. I do not know what they have undone. I know that my system went from full 2.2 software to 2.2.2 (part2) of the update. I have no idea if they will now u
... pdate the vehicle back to the safe 2.2 version, as there are zero plans, and the recall team is insisting that this partial update satisfies all the recalls. But the recall documents say 2.2, not a partial update.. god knows if it is even safe to sit in this incomplete configuration. Still no plans to get water pumps and door handles done yet either. I just started calling tech to travel to my area for these services. 10 of us are going to be paying out of pocet for these recalls as well.Read more

I leased a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate with the 6.2L V8 engine. The vehicle experienced multiple engine-related issues over time, including stalling on [XXX], and again in early 2025. On [XXX], the engine completely failed while I was driving on the highway. The truck suddenly shut down, forcing me to pull over in a dangerous situation. It was towed to North Bay Cadillac, where they confi

The vehicle has been in the shop for extended periods and is currently undergoing repairs estimated to take over a month. GM provided a loaner vehicle after 12 days, but I remain financially responsible for a defective truck that posed a serious safety risk. No warning lights were present before the failure. I am requesting that this issue be formally documented due to the severity of the safety hazard and the widespread nature of this engine problem.
