2019 Nissan Leaf Battery Recall: 1 year out from recall announcement, still no repair is available, and it is unsafe to use fast charging for risk of fire. Nissan advertised repairs for recall coming in late 2024, then March 2025. It is now July 2025, and still no repair, and Nissan Corporate will not provide a financial remedy. Have spoken with Consumer Affairs, and they claim no obligation. Unab
... le to use the car to travel longer distances (>45min away from home) because fast charging is unsafe. Consumer Affairs gave me run around. Called back 24 hours after initially promised, at 4 minutes before end of work day on a Friday. Once I finally spoke with the Consumer Affairs rep the next Tuesday, they claimed no obligation under my state's laws to remedy the issue. They refused to email the denial letter that contained this response to the issue and stated that I would have to wait for a physical copy to be sent in the mail 4-8 weeks later. I have gone to 2 Nissan dealerships in the last 2 weeks to attempt to get this recall repaired, and they all report the same issue. It is not possible to repair the battery because Nissan has not provided a solution. 1 year later, this "solution" is still in development. I do not have more time to wait. Moreover, I should be covered by the battery warranty up to 100k miles (I have 51k miles on car) and it does not expire until March 2027.Read more

I had already completed the Toyota recall related to the pre-collision/braking system weeks prior. Despite this, the malfunction still occurred. The issue has not yet been confirmed or reproduced by a dealer, but I have contacted Toyota and scheduled a full inspection. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There were no warning lamps, messages, or error alerts before the incident. The car simply braked suddenly without warning. Out of fear for my safety, I have since disabled the PCS system. In July 2023, I entered into a lease agreement for a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC SUV (VIN: [XXX]). From the outset, the vehicle suffered from recurring mechanical failures. It required service visits on August 10, 2023; March 25, 2024; July 26, 2024; September 20, 2024; and October 7, 2024. The final incident on [XXX], involved a fuel pump failure that caused the vehicle to stall in traffic,
... placing me in a terrifying situation where another driver, enraged and armed, threatened me while I waited for a tow truck. Mercedes-Benz acknowledged the vehicle was inoperable and issued a replacement lease on October 15, 2024 VIN [XXX]. However, this second vehicle also proved defective. Within two weeks, it was back in the shop for service. Since then, it has required repairs on December 24, December 31, 2024, and again on May 28, 2025, including another engine stall that posed a serious road safety threat. Despite my good faith efforts to resolve the matter, Mercedes-Benz, via their claims processor Sedgwick, is attempting to charge me $12,873.52 in negative equity, in addition to fees for Prepaid Maintenance and 4N1 Assurance Protection, as part of their settlement offer. These charges are both inappropriate and unlawful under the principles of lemon law and consumer protection. Request for Relief: •Immediate release from the lease agreement without penalty. •Refund of all payments made toward both defective vehicles. •Full waiver of any negative equity or ancillary product charges. •Any civil penalties deemed appropriate by your office against Mercedes-Benz USA and/or Sedgwick. I have already filed a complaint with the NHTSA (ID Number: 11665555) As I feel as though my safety is in imminent danger driving this vehicle. When I first saw the pictures on the internet, I noticed that the front underside appeared to have rust issues. I asked the salesman if his family was driving the vehicle, would he feel safe. He replied, "Absolutely". With this said, I decided to purchase the vehicle. Also, my signature is not on the "We owe". Also, the vehicle has an exhaust leak from the manifold area. It makes a loud ticking noise. This is going to cost approximately $1,500 to fix.
