Purchased used 2019 RDX from Acura dealer in June 2025. Within the first 30 days of owning the RDX we noticed the Airbag Sensor for the front passenger seat would not recognize my 90 lb daughter seating in the seat and the air bag sensor would indicate the seat was empty, which would result in the airbag not deploying if we were in an accident. ... ealership for repair as we were still within the 30 day period for issues. The Acura dealership insisted they could not replicate the problem so it was fine. I again referred to the video and said we have seen proof of the issue. After much back and forth and the service manager telling me his large dog sometimes doesn't set off the sensor he agreed to call American Honda to send out an engineer to test. The engineer after running tests said seat is calibrated correctly no issue to fix, even if we wanted to pay to fix it ourselves they wouldn't fix the seat sensor because there is no issue to correct. I don't understand how a car that advertises a safety feature for anyone that weighs over 65lbs can expect me to continue to drive this vehicle when it has a proven faulty sensor. Obviously how they test the sensor is faulty as well. This is a huge safety issue for the 2019 RDX and a disappointing and shocking lack of response from Acura. We are now working to return the car to the dealership and I am sure we will have to fight to not pay extra costs that will occur with them buying it back.Read more

My concern is that if I stall out on this bridge the results could be tragic for not only me but for other people using the bridge. To me this situation should be remedied in a "NOW" timeline to prevent the loss of life and equipment. The service writer agreed with me but didn't have a solution. Why doesn't Ford just install a new fuel pump that doesn't have this particular problem. My Ford Escape was driving as usual, but as I was traveling on a down ramp in a left turning lane, the engine overheated abruptly and serious audible and visual alerts appeared on the screen. I was in heavy traffic and was forced to pull over quickly into the right turning lane. Approximately 2'years.ago I was on my way home from work around 10:30 pm. I was in moderate to heavy traffic and the jeep threw a code saying service transmission. I wasn't able to accelerate. I turn it back off again and left it off for approximately 20 minutes. I finally tried to restart it and it started fine put it in reverse and it was able to go in reverse and I was able to limp it home. Thank goodness a traffic wasn't too bad I was able to pull over. I took my car to I trusted mechanic and they look through everything and they could not figure out why it was doing that. Not long after I got a postcard in the mail stating that the TCM need to be replaced. I called the number that was on the card and they stated that that particular part was on back order and they would call me. I gave them my information. They never called me back. I tried to go to work again a few days later and the same exact thing. But this time I have video of it. So I took it to my local Suncoast Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram not the place I bought it from but within the same hub. I showed them the video the gentleman there said that he was going to bring it back and the mechanics will work on it. A couple hundred dollars later they stated that they had fixed it and it shouldn't happen again. But it did it happened quite a few times, and it tends to happen when the temperature here in Florida is a little bit chilly. They actually put a sticker on the hood that said that they had fixed it but they have not. I tried to call and get refunded for the TCM but they said I was not able to. I purchased this Tucson Limited hybrid on 1/23/2025 so the fact that the dealer couldn’t duplicate the incident didn’t surprise me. I believe that this was caused by a software problem even though the diagnosis by the dealer indicated everything was normal and in range. However, I believe that their equipment and/or their technical expertise was insufficient to identify the problem. You can imagine the danger if this occurs on an interstate or other highway where speeds are as high as 65 to 70 & higher by some drivers.Read more

repeated EGR clogging and malfunction: bucking or stumbling behavior, inability to accelerate properly, disabled shifting affecting ability to slow or stop without excessive use of brakes, Limp Home Mode suddenly without warning including inability to maintain a safe speed on highway and speed minimums that the vehicle cannot keep up (20 mph max while climbing moderately), unable to downshift when
... going downhill - relying solely on braking to keep speed below safe limit or speed limits. EGR failed again after cleaning, in as little as 3 months. No repair seems possible, only repeated cleanings. Since this happened so much, we have been in several unsafe situations due to the sudden and unheralded degradation of performance and safe use of the vehicle. Once repaired, the condition can come back immediately due to the computer still guessing that it is still in failure (limp home mode returned suddenly without warning as we merged onto an interstate with no exit for 7 miles uphill… and only made 20mph). Check Engine light could come on, and did, but never during the actual degradation of performance - and went often after a few run cycles. Mercedes dealers have confirmed and performed all services on the EGR and related issues (malfunction once caused the aircleaner element to be sucked in and that caused a MAF to be destroyed by contaminants): 1) first signs of issue before 43,000 miles (when check engine light and/or LHM happened -repaired 18sep2023, 51,871 miles, MB service code: LI14.20-N-073867); 2) 26 DEC 2023 - EGR failure diagnosed and replaced by MB dealer. Cleaning had not fixed the issue or failure was final as found by driving by technician and not by codes! 3) 09/jul/2024 - MAF replaced, EGR codes noted - but functioning, fix by MB/Canada 4) 07/24/2024 - 70,547 miles - EGR Clean by MB Missoula MT - failed upon highway same day 5) 07/25/2025 - 70,600 miles - MB Missoula MT cleared computer 6) 88,340 MB cleaned EGR - runs ok againRead more

In late 2024 at 45,000 miles I noticed my 2021 Kia Seltos burning oil due to an extremely low amount oil being removed during an oil change. Who knows how long it was going on. I took the vehicle to the dealership and was told an oil consumption test needed to be done. The test showed after driving 2,134 miles, the car was down 1.2 quarts of oil. That should be unheard of in a 3 year old car with
... low mileage. I was told it is within an acceptable amount and I should keep doing consumption tests. After month of time waiting and hours spent doing multiple consumption tests, they still will not acknowledge the clear issue with my vehicle. I then discovered there is a Kia Seltos recall which my vehicle has all the symptoms of. They performed a sc336 procedure for this recall and you guessed it, I was told nothing is wrong. Here I am a year, and a half later giving up. I now just fill the oil myself every few weeks while I wait to see what else is going to go wrong. This is TERRIBLE business practice.Read more

My 2022 Hyundai Palisade has repeatedly shut off while coming to a stop. After researching online, I found that numerous 2020–2022 Palisade owners have reported the same symptoms. Many of them were told by their dealers that an ECU and/or TCU software update was needed. This suggests a broader systemic issue with the vehicle’s powertrain management system, which should warrant further investigation. As of now, no recall has been issued, but this is a recurring issue that poses a risk to driver and passenger safety. Vehicle routinely (3,000-5,000 miles, depending on oil used) maintained by qualified mechanics. Around 129,000 miles the engine began to knock / rattle. Mechanic was unable to determine the cause, but the rattle was only present between 0-40mph and would settle at higher speeds. Mechanic also noted the absence of sludge. ... d stall again. Mechanic diagnosed timing chain failure and that the vehicle is burning oil. Vehicle has never indicated low oil, but it is now manually checked and burning about a quart of oil per 1,000 miles. Replaced timing chain and vehicle has continued to operate. Around 134,500 miles some power loss during low-speed acceleration and a slight engine rumble at lower speed. Mechanic diagnosed a wrist pin failure on cylinder 2. Vehicle may be inspected upon request. Vehicle stalls create some safety concerns, but have only occurred at low speeds. Vehicle timing chain was diagnosed by two different mechanics. When the vehicle was brought to a Hyundai dealership for a trunk latch recall in May of 2024 at 125,000 miles, no issues were noted. Vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance represenstatives since May of 2024, with no reported issues. No check engine notifications or warnings appeared until the vehicle stalled. Prior to slightly decreased acceleration, the only notable indicator of an issue is the persistent engine rattle (knock, piston slap). The engine rattle began in February of 2025.Read more

Came on as I was driving again. I tried turning off the drivers assistance button but the light stays on!!! I’m concerned about the safety while driving with the airbag light, the seatbelt not signaling when the seatbelt is not on it ding to remind me that someone doesn’t have their seat belt on. At lastly , I believe that I am going to be injured by the sunroof motor fulling down while I am driving causing a car wreck and or injuring me or a passenger. The OCS system in the 2015 model needs to be fixed before serious injury occurs.Read more
