The contact was advised not to add oil to the engine to prevent the engine from seizing and to get the repair covered. The vehicle was not repaired. Why this is a concern: •Both failures occurred well before what would be expected of a modern engine. •The crankshaft failure raises a safety risk: sudden loss of propulsion while driving could lead to accidents. •The lifter issue is widely reported by other owners and has been the subject of GM service bulletins. •Taken together, these problems suggest systemic defects in the 2021 Tahoe’s 5.3L engine that have not been adequately addressed by GM. My mechanic suggested to have the vehicle towed to a Jeep dealership for further investigation and repairs knowing that Jeep Cherokees from 2017 - 2019 had failed Transfer Cases installed. The dealership has informed me that I am responsible for the parts and labor because the power train warranty ran out and my VIN number is not part of the recall. I have incurred towing expenses, rental car expenses and diagnosis fees and I am still without my vehicle. The quote I was given is for $3400.00 plus tax. This occurrence happened due to no fault of my own. I feel that the recall should be expanded to include my vehicle. There is no loaner care available to me from the dealer and now they cannot get the parts needed until 9/13. This car is low mileage, and this should never have happened. I would like to bring up a serious safety issue with this vehicle (2024 Chrysler Pacifica Select PHEV) WITH 6997 miles on the odometer. As I was driving, at approximately 11:15AM, I received a message on the dashboard that read, “Stop Safely!! Vehicle will shut off in < 2 minutes”. For my own safety as well as other drivers on the road, I tried maneuvering the vehicle to the side of the road,

The serious safety concern I have is “What if the vehicle had stopped running on the major highways full of traffic”? Please note, this is also a well-known issue starting from the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica models. Additionally, a similar incident occurred to another similar make model in Sept. 2024 with VIN # [XXX] . It seemed like, when I received the message, the vehicle's computer system interlocks fuel supply and chokes up the brakes to the wheels so the vehicle is completed locked up in one position and it does not do rolling stop to safely pull over to the side of the road. This is very dangerous because if a semi-truck with 80,000 lbs. load is coming behind you, you will NOT be able to move your vehicle to the side. This can potentially kill all the occupants in the vehicle. This vehicle has been towed to the dealer to troubleshoot/resolve the issue. Upon routine 80k service, discovered that steering wheel column loose due to faulty bushings. Individual bushings could be replaced but manufacturer insists that entire steering column needs replacement. Manufacturer should provide replacement bushings for technician to replace instead of entire column. This is simply an 8mm plastic piece!

There have been multiple recalls and class action lawsuits for the SHIFT TO PARK fault but not for my vehicle year YET! There are many Trailblazer owners who are experiencing this exact issue (on online forums) and GM so far is refusing to take responsibility and issue a recall to fix the issue for owners and also to stop using this faulty system in their cars. I have reached out to GM about this multiple times the past few weeks and requested they pay for diagnostic and fix the problem because it is a common and known problem with GM vehicles but they want me to pay for it myself and the repair and then they may decide to help out - unacceptable in my opinion. To be honest there needs to be a recall NOW and GM needs to be forced to change the components in all new models to stop this happening in future models going forward. This problem can cause the car battery to drain, it can cause the vehicle to roll away if it’s not recognizing it’s in Park. Thankfully that hasn’t happened to me but others have had this happen. Not being able to shut the engine off or lock my car is a problem. This is a safety issue that needs addressing. The contact was informed that the oil separator timing cover, CAM magnets, and oil pan needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Engine began knocking from the bottom end at 53k miles. It was determined that a connecting rod bearing had failed and Honda is replacing my engine under warranty. No cost was incurred to me but I am adding my complaint because my VIN is not included in the recall for this exact problem in other years close to mine and the recall my need to be expanded to a wider range of VINs.

Furthermore, this part is unavailable with no-ETA as it is on nationwide backorder. I have been waiting for over a month I was told over 13000 of these are on backorder for customers around the country. I have also read many post

The electronic steering wheel lock went out causing the car to not start. Upon checking the Internet to see if anyone else was having this problem I found that it was a problem many Mercedes Benz owners have had and it's an expensive one.
