The problem was reproduced on the morning of 10/7 when I found my passenger side front tire flat with a split sidewall. I am scheduled to take the car to the Lexus service department on 10/8/25 for inspection. The front passenger tire does not feel like rubber, it can be described as a mix of cardboard and plastic. On the evening of 9/7/25, when the rear drivers side tire blew, there was little warning, the low tire pressure warning light came on and I felt the flat tire in less than one minute. I purchased this new 2025 Lexus GX 550 in March of 2025 from JM Lexus in South Florida and these were the original tires. Originally when I purchased my, 2011 Ford Edge SEL 3.5L v6. I was informed upon purchasing the vehicle that the rear view camera was malfunctioning. The first time it said update successful. I then ended up resetting and full system factory reset and went to perform the software update to Sync3. My rear view camera has been unaffectively fixed after the problem. First arose. I did repair a faulted wire in the harness which didn't work either. I suspect that it still may be a software issue or that the business I work for is somehow blocking the signal. I work for Maple Bear Inc doing business as Instacart LLC. It does seem since the last revamping of the instacart driver platform was right around the time of the rear view camera malfunctioning. It may be a manufacturing issue as well. Vehicle was involved in a rear end collision. Vehicle was setup to have Emergency Braking enabled and used the Rivian High Regen setting (one pedal driving). In freeway traffic, the vehicle in front slowed quickly. The vehicle initiated emergency braking, but when the vehicle in front sped away, the vehicle failed to release emergency braking thus resulting in the car behind hitting my Rivian.

I was unable to accelerate to mitigate the rear collision damage. Secondly, the vehicle acted like it did not recognize HIGH REGEN setting as a brake input. I have had multiple time where it flashed at me to brake and the HIGH REGEN setting was stopping the vehicle. This is not acceptable. Rivian was contacted and the vehicle taken for service and repair. I was informed that they reviewed the accident and that all systems checked okay. Rivian noted that I did request acceleration from the car, but I did not hold the accelerator long enough for the vehicle to allow me to regain control. I have asked what the threshold is to regain control and they were unable to answer. Minimally I would hope they can describe how their system has been designed so that I can properly drive their vehicle. Ideally, the system should display emergency information on how to override in the event it forces the car to stop on a freeway. I am sure the Rivian system is smart enough to see that I was on a freeway and I would hope smart enough to detect that I could have safely moved to the right as other cars did to avoid collision. I firmly believe the incident could have been avoided. Vehicle had all cameras enabled and full accident is recorded and available for review. Rivian also collected vehicle diagnostic logs.Read more

Additionally, I kept getting a flashing gear selector indicator knob saying to put the TRUCK IN PARK AND SELECT THE DRIVE OPTION. I did but it still wouldn't go. I then got a software update light on the screen and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came on. I finally had to literally wave people around me in traffic as I was stalled out. I turned the truck off, restarted and it moved forward BUT at a high RPM. I have parked the truck but the dealer service is full up until late in the week and RAM CARE representatives were foreign and did not speak English well (I could not clearly understand them in my emergency call). Dealer is unwilling to act decisively to a life or death situation (opinion mine). SO we need to ensure we don't get killed or injured (God forbid) and IF there is a serious incident with this vehicle, there is documentation to attest it has been "serviced" several times for the electrical system fluctuating, the transmission dropping, and the engine not engaging the power train while driving. He added 4 quarts for me. 96033 was the mileage showing on my sticker for when the next oil change was due. My current mileage showed 94743 showing I still had 1290 miles before my next oil change was due. I have always used Swope Hyundai in Elizabethtown, KY for my vehicle service. I called and scheduled an oil consumption test. I did what they said and they said that it was an acceptable amount of oil loss per Hyundai standards. I am still over 1000 miles away from needing my oil change and my husband has been checking my oil for me about every 1000 miles. He stated that he has put in 5 quarts of oil in my vehicle since my last oil change. If he had not done this then I would have been left in a terrible situation again out on the road endangered of being crushed by semi trucks etc. when my vehicle would have shut down again for safety reasons to protect the engine. Why am I paying over 800 per month on a vehicle that is burning oil, I cannot trust and I work out of town 80 mile round trip and mane numerous trips to town for my grandchildren's activities. The windshield wiper line is kinked and I have taken this in multiple times for them to tell me nothing is wrong, and they do not service. Jeep brand is going to kill me due to its unsafe traveling. came off the highway to a stop sign went turn and the engine just seized and would not start no matter what I did. had to have it towed to my house. safety risk was just off the road so i did not get hit. police stop and told me to get a tow truck. and no warning signs at all
