THIS IS THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING WITH MY VEHICLE: Nature of the Problem: The recall involves the ESC system software, which may incorrectly keep the brakes slightly applied. This can cause the brake components to heat up over time, potentially affecting braking performance and increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the dragging brakes may overheat, raising the risk of a fire. Recall Init

My 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 has become unsafe to drive due to strong gasoline fumes filling the cabin. The smell is overwhelming and makes it difficult — and frankly dangerous — to sit in the vehicle for more than a few minutes without feeling lightheaded. I have since learned that this issue is part of a known defect covered under NHTSA Recall #21V961, which affects 2016–2020 CLA 250 mode
... ls for a fuel leak and potential fire hazard. Despite the recall directly describing this exact problem — fuel vapors entering the passenger compartment — I was told that Mercedes-Benz will not cover the repair costs, even though the recall was never performed on my car. This is deeply concerning, as gasoline fumes inside the cabin pose not only a serious health risk from inhalation but also a potential fire or explosion hazard. It’s unacceptable that a manufacturer would refuse to remedy a safety recall issue, especially one involving a known fuel system defect that could endanger both the driver and passengers. I’m left with a car that’s unsafe to drive and a manufacturer unwilling to take responsibility for a problem they’ve already acknowledged through the NHTSA.Read more

Component/System: The high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack (specifically, faulty battery cells within the pack). There is currently no fix for this. There is a severe safety defect with the Jeep 4xE. This recall (Fire risk) puts my safety, as well as others' safety, at a very high risk. It has caused a threat to immediate danger due to the increased risk of death, serious injury, or significant
... property damage, just to name a few (with death being the biggest concern). This problem has been confirmed by Jeep/Stellantis on their website, advising owners to park the vehicle outdoors and away from structures and not to charge the vehicle until a remedy is available. Dealers don’t have a fix for this. The manufacturer's guidance (not charging, parking outside) renders the vehicle effectively unusable as designed. The safety recall is linked to internal cell damage in the high-voltage battery. My vehicle uses regenerative braking to recapture kinetic energy. Given that the manufacturer advises against charging and that the fire risk is higher with a full battery, I believe the operation of the regenerative braking system, which continually attempts to increase the battery's state of charge, should be considered a contributing factor that exacerbates the underlying defect during normal driving conditions. No warnings or messages, or other symptoms have yet been noted.Read more

I'm writing to report serious ongoing safety issues with my vehicle. Initial Service Visit (September 2024): I brought my vehicle in for two issues: Clicking noise when braking Trunk randomly closing on its own, which had hit my wife multiple times while loading groceries The dealership replaced the disconnects but stated they could not fix the trunk issue. New and Ongoing Problems: Since that s
... ervice visit, the problems have worsened: The car now vibrates when backing up Clicking noises when braking continue The brakes feel like they're struggling to engage during sudden braking or in wet conditions The trunk issue persists and has become dangerous Most Recent Dealership Visit (Yesterday): I was told the trunk closing issue is "normal," but this is unacceptable for the following reasons: The trunk continues to hit my wife My [XXX] son was nearly trapped in the back when the trunk closed while he was putting on his cleats—he wasn't strong enough to stop it, and I had to run over to prevent him from being locked inside We nearly rear-ended another vehicle due to the brake problems Current Situation: My wife refuses to drive the vehicle with our children because she no longer feels safe. The car is currently at the dealership while they investigate, but at this point, I would like to explore options to exit my lease due to these unresolved safety concerns. The rear lightbar assembly on our 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat has developed micro-cracks in the outer lens, allowing moisture to accumulate inside. This has caused flickering or inoperative reverse lamps and now appears to be impacting the rear passenger blinker, which functions intermittently. We are concerned that the moisture has begun to corrode the rear wiring harness or electrical syste
... m, creating additional safety risks. When we reported the issue, a Kendall Ford representative told us the rear lightbar replacement was “mainly cosmetic,” but that assessment contradicts both Ford’s recall documentation and our experience. Moisture intrusion has already led to intermittent lighting failures that reduce signaling visibility to other drivers, posing a real risk of collision. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and a Ford Field Service Engineer dispatched from Dearborn, who inspected the truck in 2025 after the same recall repair (23S30) failed. Ford has since issued a new recall (25V731 / 25S86) acknowledging improper dealer repairs as the cause. Visible condensation, flickering lights, and intermittent “charging system fault” and “sensor unavailable” messages began shortly after the 2023 recall repair and have continued to worsen. The vehicle remains in our possession and is available for inspection by NHTSA or Ford corporate upon request.Read more

This occurred 5+ years ago. Coming home one night I had a sudden loss of power with the truck and barely made it home. Was able to limp the truck to the dealership the next day and was told that one side of the engines lifters had failed. Prior to the failure I had noticed a ticking sound coming from the engine that was becoming increasingly more prominent. It was several thousand dollars to rep
... air. Fortunately the failure occurred near home, not on the freeway where I could have been dodging cars while trying to limp the truck to the shoulder. Some online research while the repair was being done revealed that several other owners with the 6.2L engine had the same problem. When I mentioned it to the dealer the response was that they had no bulletins from GM on the issue and I was stuck with the bill. Got the same response a year or two later when the torque converter on the transmission went out. The reason I am reporting it now is I saw that GM is recalling 6.2L vehicles with lifter issues but not back to 2015 even though the issue appears to go back farther than that. They claim it's limited to a specific run of engines for the recall. They have been having various lifter problems for many years that have put drivers in danger when they fail but refuse to acknowledge it. As for the repair they made to the engine I've driven another 70 K miles and the ticking has started again. I fear another failure. Please note that the date previously given for the incident is my best guess.Read more

Luckily no one was injured or killed. I’ve seen that the car manufacturer was replacing this issue on models 2008-2015. My vehicle is a
... 2015 and they are telling me my vehicle is not covered for the issue. The car is not drivable and Mercedes needs to be held accountable. I received notice of a recall from Volvo related to my XC60 hybrid's battery over the summer. I took the car in to Prestige Volvo in East Hanover on July 15 to get it checked. They stated the battery had bad cells and needed repair. They said the car was not safe to drive and the repair could take a month due to a backorder. I got the car back in August and shortly thereafter, there was a "hybrid
... system failure" warning and the battery would not charge. I took the car back to Prestige on Sept. 23 and they stated the cell they replaced was bad and the repair would need to be done again and that there was no courtesy car available to use. They stated they did the repair a second time and the replacement cells were also bad. As of today, Oct. 30, they still have the car and they do not know when it will be repaired. I have reached out to Volvo corporate, who has not responded. I have not had a fully functioning car since July and it is entirely because Volvo has been unable to complete the recall work properly and in a timely fashion.Read more
