I own a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300. After the dealership performed the recall Update Battery Management System Software – Campaign 2025040005 / 25V050 / 25P5496507, my vehicle immediately experienced a significant loss of battery performance. Problems that began right after the recall update: Driving range decreased by approximately 25–30 miles. DC fast-charging speed dropped from about 100
... kW before the update to a maximum of around 80 kW after the update. Vehicle was performing normally before the recall software was installed. This update appears to have negatively affected the performance, efficiency, and charging capability of the high-voltage battery. Mercedes has not yet provided an explanation or solution. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether the recall update is improperly derating or limiting the high-voltage battery and whether this safety recall is causing reduced functionality for other EQB owners.Read more

Since the purchase of my Acura MDX 2019, the following problems have been reported to the dealership and to Honda Manufacturing Inc. without any resolution. The dealer shop has replaced recall parts, but the problems persist and have not gone away. The vehicle stalls and stops working while driving. The engine makes knocking/rattling noises upon becoming disabled while driving. The engine would ran
... domly not start when turning it on. When car becomes disabled the dashboard lights up warning lights displaying messages intermittently of the following problems: Anti-Lock Brake System Problem (ABS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist, Trailer Stability Assist, Collision Mitigation System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Brake System, Brake Hold System, Electric Parking Brake, SH-AWD, Keyless Start System and Power Steering System (EPS) Problems, while displaying ACC and LWKS codes. Additionally, the vehicle runs improperly and shuts down completely making the window, doors, etc, inoperable while passengers are inside locking me in and my entire family for long periods of time. A few times has left me either myself or with my children and dog inside. The only place where I take my car for services is where I purchased it (Chevy Chase Acura). The issues noted are the same reported by the recalls I have received, and I have not taken it somewhere else because of that reason. Nobody can fix them as the problems are manufacturing issues that even Acura/Honda cannot repair. This safety defect can kill or seriously injure me, my passengers, and other drivers on the road. As noted in one of the many recalls the fuel pump defect can cause the vehicle to stop in the highway and could prevent an engine from starting or cause a vehicle to stall while being driven, it potentially increases the risk of a fire, crash, or injury. My car continues to have these issues and nobody is helping me. Please help!Read more

My 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.6L engine) suffered a sudden and catastrophic engine failure immediately after the dealership misdiagnosed a coolant leak from the oil cooler assembly. The oil cooler on this engine has a well-documented history of cracks, coolant contamination, and sudden oil loss across multiple Jeep model years. On October 25, I reported a coolant leak to the dealership, includin
... g a photo of bright pink coolant. The service advisor incorrectly told me it was “oil mixed with coolant,” did not document urgency, and did not involve a technician. I received no warning that this leak was dangerous or likely to cause engine failure. Within about a week, the oil cooler assembly failed, dumping the engine oil, causing smoke, knocking, and complete engine destruction. There was no prior warning from the dealership despite me reporting this issue directly. The dealership later created service notes that inaccurately stated they “informed me of a leak,” which is untrue. I informed them. Their failure to diagnose and communicate the seriousness of this defect directly resulted in my engine being destroyed. This failure mirrors hundreds of other owner reports regarding oil cooler cracks on the 3.6L Pentastar. This appears to be a pattern of premature oil cooler failure with severe safety consequences and no recall.Read more

Upon a low speed curb strike, predominantly striking the rear driver tire and partially the front driver tire, during a slide under 30mph, the curtain airbags deployed in the vehicle. Reading about this online, it appears others driving this type of vehicle have had similar reports of low speed tire strikes and airbags deploying. The airbags were more of a risk than the curb strike itself. With ch
... ildren in approved car seats in the rear, this was of course incredibly frightening. It appears VW is aware of the low sensitivity of their sensors that deploy this system, for which this sensor has been under recall in the past. Whether my sensor was repaired correctly is not understood. There is no other vehicle damage. The vehicle has been delivered to the VW dealer for inspection. It would be ideal for the NHTSA to look into whether the VW Atlas's curtain airbag deployment at low speed tire strikes meets the threshold for safety standards of deploying airbags. As there is a previous history for airbag issues with VW, it's not unrealistic this was a fault with the car and not the driver.Read more

The issue was caused by both bolts falling out of the right front lower lateral link. To address this, technicians replaced the front lower lateral and compliance links, steering rack, RF spring and damper assembly, subframe, drive unit, RF halfshaft, RF wheel arch liner, stabilizer bar links, and aero shield, and performed a four-wheel alignment check and adjust. Escalating Safety Concern – Loud Clunking, Thumping, and Cracking from Front Axle at Low Speeds We are long-time loyal customers and currently own four identical Mercedes-Benz models. This appears to be a widespread and recurring problem that raises serious safety concerns, particularly as it affects the front axle and is uncommon in other modern vehicles of this class and young age. Given the potential safety implications and the growing number of affected owners, we respectfully request that Mercedes-Benz investigate this issue promptly, acknowledge it as a known concern, and provide an appropriate inspection and repair at no cost to us. We love the brand and have always trusted its engineering and safety standards, which makes this experience especially distressing. My 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 has become unsafe to drive due to strong gasoline fumes filling the cabin. The smell is overwhelming and makes it difficult — and frankly dangerous — to sit in the vehicle for more than a few minutes without feeling lightheaded. I have since learned that this issue is part of a known defect covered under NHTSA Recall #21V961, which affects 2016–2020 CLA 250 mode
... ls for a fuel leak and potential fire hazard. Despite the recall directly describing this exact problem — fuel vapors entering the passenger compartment — I was told that Mercedes-Benz will not cover the repair costs, even though the recall was never performed on my car. This is deeply concerning, as gasoline fumes inside the cabin pose not only a serious health risk from inhalation but also a potential fire or explosion hazard. It’s unacceptable that a manufacturer would refuse to remedy a safety recall issue, especially one involving a known fuel system defect that could endanger both the driver and passengers. I’m left with a car that’s unsafe to drive and a manufacturer unwilling to take responsibility for a problem they’ve already acknowledged through the NHTSA.Read more

On the highway, my 2015 Hyundai Sonata suddenly began making a squealing or metallic rattling noise. At first, I thought it might have been something loose inside the vehicle. Within moments, the check engine light began blinking, followed by several additional warning lights and a pronounced knocking noise from the engine area. Immediately after the warning lights appeared, the vehicle entered a
... reduced-power “limp mode” and began rapidly losing speed, even though the engine was still running. Because this occurred at highway speed while surrounding traffic was traveling normally, I had to pull onto the shoulder to avoid being struck. This created a significant safety hazard. I was stranded for approximately 45 minutes on the shoulder, at risk of being struck by other vehicles passing at high speeds. A tow truck arrived before the highway patrol, and the vehicle was towed home. When I returned home, my code reader pulled two versions of diagnostic code P1326, which is associated with potential engine bearing failure in Hyundai Theta II engines. The issue has since been inspected by the dealership, who confirmed the presence of the P1326 code. The vehicle is currently available for further inspection upon request. There were no prior symptoms that I was aware of leading up to the incident other than the brief squealing/rattling noise and the sudden warning lights immediately beforehand. The failure happened suddenly and without warning, causing an immediate and unexpected loss of speed and creating a dangerous situation on the highway.Read more

I bought my 2020 Jeep Compass from Moses Factory Outlet in Teays Valley WV 2/1/25. The whole time I have had and operated the vehicle it has had this safety issue. It shuts down unexpectedly with a "high coolant temperature warning" displayed on the dash then resets and turns back on. Sometimes I have to physically turn the vehicle back on. This happens on the interstate randomly when I am going 6
... 5 mph or sitting at a red light. I spoke to Moses about it, and they told me I would have to take it to a jeep dealership because this is something they would not be able to fix. I took it to the Walker Jeep dealership in Hurricane WV they inspected it and said they could not find anything wrong with it. This is very scary when it happens, and I have no idea how to get it fixed because the dealership I bought it from nor an actual jeep dealership can fix it. I drove it to Columbus Ohio one time, and it done it six times that's a 5hr round trip.Read more
