Since my significant others and I purchased this 2006 Mercedes Benz SUV - ML-350, over three months ago, we were wondering why the "Engine check light was always on" so we purchased (4) sensors and replaced the sensors of where OBD tests pointed out for the engine, deleted the Engine Check Light several times but it will go back on after we driven it for another 50 to 100 miles away to normal high
... ways and freeways driving to relearn the computer system and the Check Engine Light On again and again but not blinking? We called our friendly mechanics and he said it maybe faults recalled that part of the electronics or maybe the computer is giving that "engine check" light on because it has some safety components is malfunctioning, the braking is also hard and sometimes it is too soft when I push it with my right foot to stop the car and also the car is using too much gas. So, we kept postponement of bringing this car to the dealership for repairs because we cannot afford the repairs. Then today, I check to my email and I see the Recall email from NHTSA about MB - ML-350 / recall number 2022050015 / NHTSA # 22V315, since we cannot smog check it because of the "Engine Check On" it is always on we were puzzled why this light and this car cost too much to use and sometimes hard and sometimes soft to push on it's braking power? Please let us know on what to do next? Shall we call the MB-Dealerships to tow this car to their shop because we have stop using this car about over (3) months ago since we bought it ? Braking System is sometimes is too hard and sometimes too soft and using too much gas and the "Engine Check is always On " even we have replaced the (4) electronic sensors that the OBD machine pointed out but is still doing the same thing. Please advise us of what to do to resolve these operational safety of our 2006 - ML-350 Mercedes Benz, it is stored in our car garage. The rear reverse camera also stops working and it is saying braking lights are not functioning?Read more

We purchased a brand new Mercedes GLB in January 2021, I noticed the car started to shake. On our way leaving Zion National Park, the car started shaking really hard and the engine light turned on. The car wouldn't accelerate. We had to pull over on the side of the road. We barely made it to the dealer in St. George, Utah, with the car shaking the entire time. We met with Ryan Poleszak the service
... adviser, and he said that he has seen this problem several times with Mercedes 4-cylinder engines in GLB, GLA, and C-class models in the past, and it looks like the car needs a new engine. After over 4 weeks and a lot of back & forth, we realized that he had no intention to fix our car. The dealer in the SouthBay told us that the dealer in St. George, Utah never registered the car into their national database with the engine problem, and there is something fishy going on. The dealer in the southbay fixed the car in less than a week. We passed all our expenses to the dealer and Emmanuel (Executive Referral Manager) who refused to do anything to help us. Till now we didn't hear anything from Emmanuel and Mercedes Bez corporate regarding our expenses. His info is below: Emmanuel Executive Referral Manager Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (800) 367-6372 (ext. 7802) It was completely unethical of Mercedes Benz to sell us a brand new car that had engine problems in less than a year. Also, Ryan Poleszak from the dealership in St. George Utah was completely dishonest by not registering the engine problem to the Mercedes Benz national database. Car shipping from St. George Ut: $550 Rent car from Hertz: $353.31 For a total of: $903.31 which we are seeking from Mercedes-Benz USA to reimburse us since we accrued those expenses due to the engine failure of our brand new GLB.Read more

My 2011, 300C has 116,000 miles. Driving the car I notices that when I applied brakes car swayed to the left. Concerned I brought vehicle to MB in Paramus, NJ. Was told that rear sub-frame was rusted and dislodged along with the brake lines, also rusted. Car was serviced every 10k miles as recommended by dealer and just now these issues were identified. I recently also was told that the fuel tank

MB does not have any recalls for these problems but I believe NHTSA should initiate a recall as many others have had these problems. A google search has identifies a large number of people having these same problems. Below are 2 videos of the problem. https://app.mykaarma.com/service-cart/mpi/BfGpB6lKrWaYxN3TKQFzqa2MgCzxYgihmma6Ker7cFE/check/Your_CAR_CHECK_ID/media/0/view/1 https://api.mykaarma.com/video-walkaround/details?inspection_uuid=629e0e431dd41d3dfba54fd1&fileType=video No warnings messages or previous symptoms occurred and even though car was serviced every 10k miles, dealer Neve identified any of the concerns. How can that be when brake lines are rusted. Dealer refuses to take any responsibility and MB Germany has yet to respond to my various emails. Bought from a used car dealership in California. Took it to Mercedes-Benz of South Bay. First, they had it for 2 months and could not diagnose the problem with the error messages. This is when it was still drivable. Th
... ey escalated to MB USA and Germany. Finally, Germany told them what to do to remove the alert and it worked fine. I drove it for 80 miles and now the same alert came back. This time the engine would not start. After another 3 weeks with the dealership I get this: Technician found coolant entering the electric motor assembly, specifically at the rotor position sensor. Resolving this matter takes replacing the electric motor itself. Amount to resolve takes $17, 575+tax (replaces electric machine/electric motor). Conferred with warranty manager for potential extended coverage. There is no additional or extended coverage for this component. I owe $15K on car payments so clearly, I won't be getting it repaired for $18K+. Especially when I can't trust if their diagnostic is accurate after they haven't figured it out for 3 months. Totally lost trust in the brand of Mercedes-Benz. The only remaining warranty is the Tesla battery till 100K miles. They say Tesla doesn't support it anymore. That's not my problem. Mercedes-Benz has sold this lemon of a model to many people. They owe compensation to pay for this. Customers are NOT Research & Development cost. We expect a working product. And as this group has posted -- this is a systemic issue. Any lawsuits on this or recall? There needs to be for sure.Read more

I have a zero point dmv clean record!! Tires are dysfunctional poorly made235/55 R18 The front tires are ready to blow out and look /feel very unsafe to drive no blow out yet - however last 6 months many people have noticed POOR TRACTION & asked if the car tires need air. No air WAS NEEDED!! Continental offered 40% off for replacement tires. This is unacceptable ! These are not industry safe and
... continental stated there’s no mileage warranty! Who gets all new tires at 26,500 miles. I’m a mom going to the grocery store and the mall! My brand new 2021 leased Car now has approx. 26,500 miles . Bought October 2020! Front tires are near bald. Back tires are nearly worn as well. Car was in & serviced at Mercedes’ where point inspections prove NO ALIGNMENT ISSUES 04/2022 and prior service dates tires were rotated 4 times and all service schedules were completed! Assumptions were made that I didn’t rotate tires as exscuse for POORLY MADE an outlet for UNSAFE TIRES. I live in a mild climate, Nor Cal and went to the snow one time. No car accidents, no beach salt climate. Also the Car is parked IN A covered garage area no excessive temps ON THE tires. No off roading. I have never seen a car tire wear like this. Colors been brown murky also continues alwaysneeds polish !!It’s not the Industry standard. It drives choppy also and reflects no air needed! For a Run flat expensive tire there’s no reason why it’s such a piece of junk. I’m middle aged and not a teenage driver this should of lasted ! Bought my car brand new nearly 50 grand Mercedes 2021! This is my 6th Mercedes’ and second leased Mercedes’ I’ve owned Escalade, 2 bmws, fiat, sabb, ml500 Mercedes’ , cla250 lease before this one that 2018 I got 40,000 miles only changed 2 tires due too moderate driving.Read more

Regarding onboard OEM Navigation system (MBUX) - I feel there is a serious safety issue in the factory supplied, vehicle specific GPS Navigation unit. In the Northeast, we have many parkways, low bridges etc. and the built in navigation system will happily route you onto restricted access parkways or right into a low bridge. My stock Sprinter is close to 10ft tall.... When leaving Long Island, NY
... , even if you research your route and then entrust the navi system guide you - your route is guaranteed to change due to traffic information. I'm not expecting a miracle - but a truck GPS is not rocket science - don't route me into a low bridge or onto a parkway. A simple checkbox "avoid parkways" would be a start. Another good one would be "avoid low bridges" At the very least add an "OK" checkbox stating we all agree the supplied route is for entertainment purposes only and not to be relied on for vehicle navigation. Thank you for all you do for the public! , MarkRead more

On 4/19/22 while driving my Mercedes B250e, I received a 'check coolant level' warning message, followed closely by 'without starting engine again, consult workshop' and then 'stop, switch engine off'. All messages appeared in less than 30 minutes time, and then my engine completely shut off while I was pulling into a parking lot. Prior to this date, there were no warning signs of the issue. The i
... ssue was diagnosed by the Mercedes Atlanta South dealership as a catastrophic electric drive unit failure caused by a coolant leak due to a faulty rotor seal. I was quoted a price of $12K-$20K to replace the EDU. I declined the service while trying to get assistance from Mercedes customer care, so the vehicle is still in an inoperable condition and available for inspection. This issue has happened to countless B250e drivers, and it is completely unsafe to allow these cars to continue driving without recall since the engine can shut down while driving, and become completely inoperable, with little to no warning. This is a known issue to Mercedes - see attached invoice which references 'SEVERAL PTSS CASES'.Read more

Motor/Drive Unit making "whirring" noise that got progressively worse over time. While under warranty MB dealer stated that everything was fine, now after the warranty has expired a different dealer says it is failing and needs to be replaced. Independent shop says there is a potential design defect with the Tesla motor used in this vehicle (many early model S motors were replaced by tesla.)
